18/11/2025: I had an amazing dinner at Stone Haven Restaurant. The steak on the hot stone was absolutely incredible – honestly the best meat you can get in Maynooth. Perfect quality, full of flavour, with delicious sides and sauces. The atmosphere is very cosy and relaxing, and the service is excellent – friendly, attentive and genuinely caring. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

27/08/2025: Enjoyed a lovely dinner. Staff was friendly and dealt with a food allergy no issue at all. Good food! Pretty quiet and was not crowded when we were there.

04/12/2025: I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Glenroyal Hotel! The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The atmosphere of the hotel is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service—especially from the receptionist, Patrik, who was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I highly recommend Glen Royal Hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay!

02/12/2025: I was really looking forward to staying here, but was really disappointed and will not return. Staff were disinterested, minus one gentleman who was in training and helped me get a staff member to help me in morning. I had multiple communications from hotel before arrival about making sure to pre book for dinner in restaurant, but no response to my request for 1 hour early check in or bathtub. We were given a room in children's area...I guess bc of two bed or bathtub request? There was black mold in the corners of the tub, the paper coasters where 'clean' glasses were sitting were clearly not new...had toothpaste marks on them and while bedding was fine, mattress were not comfy. 😒 We were also told that their was roomservice and a reserve was taken on my card...but there was no menu in room and QR code did not work.🫠

03/10/2025: Great vegan options. Everything was fresh, vibrant, and full of flavour. The owners were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.

26/08/2025: The old man employee (not sure if he's the manager or what) is just as rude as many of these other reviewers have said. I met up at the cafe today with a friend to do some work after lunchtime. My friend ordered a coffee, but I had already eaten, so I did not order anything. After a while, the employee chastised me for not ordering anything and said, "We're not an office." No, you're a coffee shop in which people regularly take their time to do some work on a laptop! The restaurant was about 2/3rd empty at this time. There was PLENTY of available seating, and I did not see ANYONE waiting for a table. I'm sure the owner is going to give the same reply that they need to facilitate turning over tables, but that response holds absolutely no water when the restaurant is mostly empty. Owner, you need to stop making excuses for this rude employee. Though I did not order anything today, I have eaten at the bistro in the past, so I have contributed to their business. But I will never, ever return after being treated so rudely. That employee just hurt his business' long-term profits rather than increase them. Do not be short-sighted and isolate customers when there is no need.

26/11/2025: Nice coffee,bit overpriced. Yesterday 25th November went to shoda for coffee still bit overpriced but was disgusted to see on the counter a plate of about 20 mini shopbought mince pies 2 for 3euro. A pack of 10 probably costs 3euro in Tesco or supervalue. Maybe at this time of year they should be free with your coffee.

16/11/2025: Service extremely slow and very disorganised! To see staff arguing amongst themselves in front of customers is not a good thing! I won't be back.

25/10/2025: Have eaten in the restaurant numerous times and always impressed, however, take away orders seem to never be ready when you arrive. I'm usually given the answer of 'it's just with the kitchen now', 20-30 mins after ordering.

13/09/2025: Amazing food but very rude staff. I called the restaurant to check where my delivery is as it was suppose to be with me 30 minutes ago, and I got a shouting woman over the phone! The food was amazing but the staff behaviour could be improved

02/11/2025: Had a lovely evening here during the week, a fab spot for Italian cuisine, we loved it, will be back again at some point.

16/10/2025: Came here on a recommendation by the man at Equestrian World and it is a 10/10 recommendation. Delicious bread! Warm butter!! Server was boss lady in the best way!! Ordered the spaghetti arrabiata (medium) was delicious. Also had bianco and Neapolitan pizzas, both were raved about as well. Can't go wrong when needing something other than traditional Irish.

17/09/2024: All I can say is Heavenly! We ordered a carrot cake from L'Art du Chocolate for our friend's birthday and it was truly the most divinely gorgeous carrot cake any of us had ever had!! From the smooth chocolate mixed into the icing poured over the delectable cake filling topped with beautiful writing was the best birthday present we could have given her!! Just incredible! Thank you❤️
