15/02/2026: The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, excellent service, and flavourful food. Everyone enjoyed their meal, with generous portions and takeaway boxes available if needed. From starter to main we were not disappointed. Don't forget to book.

26/11/2025: Nice coffee,bit overpriced. Yesterday 25th November went to shoda for coffee still bit overpriced but was disgusted to see on the counter a plate of about 20 mini shopbought mince pies 2 for 3euro. A pack of 10 probably costs 3euro in Tesco or supervalue. Maybe at this time of year they should be free with your coffee.

16/11/2025: Service extremely slow and very disorganised! To see staff arguing amongst themselves in front of customers is not a good thing! I won't be back.

26/08/2025: The old man employee (not sure if he's the manager or what) is just as rude as many of these other reviewers have said. I met up at the cafe today with a friend to do some work after lunchtime. My friend ordered a coffee, but I had already eaten, so I did not order anything. After a while, the employee chastised me for not ordering anything and said, "We're not an office." No, you're a coffee shop in which people regularly take their time to do some work on a laptop! The restaurant was about 2/3rd empty at this time. There was PLENTY of available seating, and I did not see ANYONE waiting for a table. I'm sure the owner is going to give the same reply that they need to facilitate turning over tables, but that response holds absolutely no water when the restaurant is mostly empty. Owner, you need to stop making excuses for this rude employee. Though I did not order anything today, I have eaten at the bistro in the past, so I have contributed to their business. But I will never, ever return after being treated so rudely. That employee just hurt his business' long-term profits rather than increase them. Do not be short-sighted and isolate customers when there is no need.

08/04/2026: Shockingly rude owner, walked to bar at 6pm and was asked for ID instantly (im 30 years old) in the process of getting the ID he then said we're not dressed appropriate (group at a table had GAA tracksuits) all while making no eye contact with us, clearly weren't wanted for whatever reason, id suggest selling the pub and retire, maybe hes too old for it all now 🤷🏻‍♂️

03/01/2026: Very bad service We order pizza deal on the big pizza alpino are missing so we bring it back and they said they gonna make fresh and they took the pizza we are struggling with 2 kids in car and then they want us to wait and all other food got cold and kids going mad in the car.

06/01/2026: Lovely night spent in Donatellos last Saturday night. We were a party of 10 and we were made feel so welcome by every staff member, there was an overall inviting, warm, friendly atmosphere, the food was amazing and service was exceptional. We would highly recommend Donatellos.

20/03/2026: I arrived at the roost just after 23:30 and was told the bar was closed despite saying it was open til 2:00 on Google management and ownership clearly don’t care about false advertising which could lead to a lawsuit, I would avoid at all costs

28/03/2026: This place is rubbish, serving frozen and poor quality food. Spanish cuisine is based on fresh, quality products, but they offer the complete opposite and are rude.
