03/01/2026: Very bad service We order pizza deal on the big pizza alpino are missing so we bring it back and they said they gonna make fresh and they took the pizza we are struggling with 2 kids in car and then they want us to wait and all other food got cold and kids going mad in the car.
29/12/2025: I got Classic veg pizza it was sooo good, and Good Staffs and environment,
Highly recommended…!!! 😄

27/12/2025: We reserved a table for 2 with our dog on Christmas Eve. Food was super - blueberry and lemon drizzle pancakes and a cooked breakfast with homemade sourdough. The staff are so pleasant and there was a lovely buzzy atmosphere. One of the genuinely great spots to eat in Maynooth! Wish more restaurants and cafes in Maynooth were dog friendly, it’s very much appreciated to be able to sit inside in winter! We will definitely be back.
20/12/2025: Food is always top Tier! Baristas and staff are great love coming into the shop in maynooth! Coffee was nicer when you had the le heron Brazil on but I appreciate the coffee that’s on bar now because of the background on it.

08/01/2026: The food was amazing (I had a dumpling selection starter and Nasi Goreng main) and it arrived to the table super quick! I had trouble picking from the menu because I wanted to try everything
The atmosphere and decor was very cool and not too bright or loud.
It was a bit busy but that just means it is good and everyone knows it!
19/12/2025: Stopped in for some starters and some cocktails. Both excellent, will return for the 3 course.

26/11/2025: Nice coffee,bit overpriced. Yesterday 25th November went to shoda for coffee still bit overpriced but was disgusted to see on the counter a plate of about 20 mini shopbought mince pies 2 for 3euro. A pack of 10 probably costs 3euro in Tesco or supervalue. Maybe at this time of year they should be free with your coffee.
16/11/2025: Service extremely slow and very disorganised! To see staff arguing amongst themselves in front of customers is not a good thing! I won't be back.

04/02/2026: Very disappointed with the membership in the gym and leisure centre. I was a member in first semester from 29th September to December 2025. I tried to get another membership today 04.02.2026 and I was told I’d have to pay €100 joining fee?? Because it’s been 38 days since my membership ended?? The most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard off.
I’m actually gutted as I loved using the gym here and going for a sauna after it, but after hearing the €100 joining fee I had to just walk out. How can you expect a student to pay a huge joining fee for no reason? At that point you shouldn’t even bother advertising that you offer a student membership.. disgraceful.
04/02/2026: There was no seating in the bar after meal, the only area at reception was only place for a drink which was freezing, staff did try to put fire to heat but didn't work. Was so cold had to move down to lift areas,then had to sit here with coats on. It's ridiculous that a hotel if this size has no seating area for those that want to have a drink.The arkle bar was full of people having bar food. We tried to get a table in the bar for 3 hours.

12/12/2025: Pleasantly surprised that the Spanish and Mexican dishes offered here come very close to the ones you would find in each country.
It is so hard to find good Spanish food in Ireland and Picaderos is the place to go.
We will definitely go back.

06/01/2026: Lovely night spent in Donatellos last Saturday night. We were a party of 10 and we were made feel so welcome by every staff member, there was an overall inviting, warm, friendly atmosphere, the food was amazing and service was exceptional. We would highly recommend Donatellos.

13/10/2025: Visited this lovely cafe with my kids last weekend and had an amazing experience, the staff were all so friendly but Vicky stood out to us as she was so friendly,helpful and great with the kids she was absolutely flawless. food was also great i had the chicken blaa was delish will defo be back. Thank you Vicky!!!!!

Coffee Mill Bistro

26/08/2025: The old man employee (not sure if he's the manager or what) is just as rude as many of these other reviewers have said. I met up at the cafe today with a friend to do some work after lunchtime. My friend ordered a coffee, but I had already eaten, so I did not order anything. After a while, the employee chastised me for not ordering anything and said, "We're not an office." No, you're a coffee shop in which people regularly take their time to do some work on a laptop!
The restaurant was about 2/3rd empty at this time. There was PLENTY of available seating, and I did not see ANYONE waiting for a table. I'm sure the owner is going to give the same reply that they need to facilitate turning over tables, but that response holds absolutely no water when the restaurant is mostly empty. Owner, you need to stop making excuses for this rude employee.
Though I did not order anything today, I have eaten at the bistro in the past, so I have contributed to their business. But I will never, ever return after being treated so rudely. That employee just hurt his business' long-term profits rather than increase them. Do not be short-sighted and isolate customers when there is no need.
