The best restaurants in Maynooth

18/09/2025: I finally found my veggie spot in Maynooth! It's fantastic to eat a freshly made, light meal, especially after a few days of eating deep-fried food in pubs. Thank you for the nice service and generous portions.

14/09/2025: The Dabeli and Vada Pav were absolutely delicious. I’d definitely come back for an evening snack. A must visit spot to enjoy authentic Indian street food.

25/08/2025: Called in to this pub/ restaurant yesterday evening on way home from concert in Dublin, their website said kitchen was open until 8.30pm and we arrived at 8.10, they wouldnt serve us, said kitchen was closed, so dissappointing.

15/08/2025: Quick service. Great town center buzz. Quality food. Great to see the right fruit being added to drinks - strawberry and lime in Koparberg Cider and orange in Blue Moon. & the right glasses were used!

03/10/2025: Amazing hotel, staff were very welcoming and polite. Our room was amazing and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast absolutely fab, something for everyone. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to our friends and family

03/10/2025: As with all hotel in ireland rooms are too expensive. On the bar food ordered fish and chips. Looked great on plate but fish was 4 medium size home made fish fingers. Taste great but not enough on plate to fill me . It wasn't cheap but tasty .. I later went across the rd to shop to purchase some snacks as still hungry..

26/08/2025: The old man employee (not sure if he's the manager or what) is just as rude as many of these other reviewers have said. I met up at the cafe today with a friend to do some work after lunchtime. My friend ordered a coffee, but I had already eaten, so I did not order anything. After a while, the employee chastised me for not ordering anything and said, "We're not an office." No, you're a coffee shop in which people regularly take their time to do some work on a laptop! The restaurant was about 2/3rd empty at this time. There was PLENTY of available seating, and I did not see ANYONE waiting for a table. I'm sure the owner is going to give the same reply that they need to facilitate turning over tables, but that response holds absolutely no water when the restaurant is mostly empty. Owner, you need to stop making excuses for this rude employee. Though I did not order anything today, I have eaten at the bistro in the past, so I have contributed to their business. But I will never, ever return after being treated so rudely. That employee just hurt his business' long-term profits rather than increase them. Do not be short-sighted and isolate customers when there is no need.

27/08/2025: Enjoyed a lovely dinner. Staff was friendly and dealt with a food allergy no issue at all. Good food! Pretty quiet and was not crowded when we were there.

11/08/2025: We were staying in Maynooth for one night and were fortunate enough to find this wonderful venue. Bar staff were all lovely and welcoming, security guy was really friendly and helpful re recommendations for food (they had stopped serving food on site by the time we got there) and the owner was an absolute joy and took time to chat with us. Even when they needed to see my kids’ ID as kids need to be off site by 10pm (my kids are both adults but look younger than their ages), this was asked for pleasantly and discreetly. And everyone was great with my son, who is high-functioning autistic (the incredibly thoughtful owner even offered to try to find some ear defenders if anything got too loud for him!), which meant we could all relax and enjoy our night. A great venue, that offers everything from a quiet outdoor seating area to traditional music in another part of the venue to a louder more ‘nightclub feel’ in another part. All age profiles were there and having a great night, as this place offers something for everyone. Lovely relaxed vibe, can’t recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be back!

02/09/2025: Don't go if you're in a hurry. Arrived at 11.45, given a breakfast and lunch menu. Told breakfast was finished, but we couldn't order lunch until 12.. They did take out coffee order, but then forgot about making it. Thus we were seated more than half an hour before anything appeared on the table. Coffee was good, sandwich was meh. Floor service was pleasant, but ineffectual. The kitchen appears to be running the show for their own convenience, rather than the customer's needs.
