I'd read reviews saying it was the best, so had to go, to try for myself. I want disappointed.
Traditional pub, with genuine Snug as well.
Plenty of space inside, TVs showing sport, function room upstairs that seats 100, or stands 150.
Still had the shop counter inside, that's now used as a bench table for patrons.
Dennis the bar man is a character and the locals are always happy to have a craic with you.
Centrally located in the town, and easy to find.
Take the time to visit this place, you won't be disappointed

11/02/2024: The quality of the kebab is good and nothing more. The delivery service is funny though. I have silenced unknown callers which can be problematic for them because when you donât pick up your phone they will be ringing you for 10 minutes instead of delivering food to the door. Later I got information that courier was afraid of 2 dogs (which are small and afraid of their own shadow). I ended up collecting the order in person at the restaurant. I ordered from JustEat which isnât great either giving statusâDeliveredâ when it wasnât. The problem was on both sides me not answering the phone and them not delivering the food to the door.
There is definitely room for better kebab in Castlebar
