28/02/2024: Lovely cosy spot, nice atmosphere, drinks were lovely and reasonably priced. Barman was very nice and friendly. Would have stayed longer only we'd a meal booked elsewhere close by but sorry we didn't cancel it and just stay at this pub. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

30/12/2023: We had a really great experience here in Rua! We were stressed after a not very nice visit to Westport where everywhere was packed and Rua in Castlebar saved the day, really lovely food, hot chocolate, peanut butter brownie and super friendly staff! Highly recommend! Think we'll skip Westport next time!

08/03/2024: Lovely little restaurant. Great variety of sandwiches / wraps and fillings to choose from. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced.

29/09/2023: Service was as kind and friendly as best i have ever experienced. The bakery was very clean and kept orderly by the team. My family had breakfast/lunch there 3x this week--food was excellent. We were very impressed... will look for other O'Herirs in other towns.

04/05/2024: For some reason, this place won’t accept our group of 13 (was told to wait 1.5hrs), so we ended up splitting ourselves and they accommodated 6 of us immediately. There’s a lot of empty tables inside. It doesn’t really make sense.

30/03/2024: Lovely friendly staff. Food was fresh and piping hot. My ice cream with extra sprinkles was delicious 😋

29/03/2024: Pizzeria in Castlebar. Mayonnaise sauce is added to each pizza. We ordered two pizzas for the price of Double. I liked the taste of the pizza! It was very cold because the front door was not closed.

29/03/2024: Our shower was cold and we had to get maintenance up. Though they were very quick to fix. Room was for 3 and supplies only had for 2 people. Again they changed our room last minute to accommodate our early arrival. Reception and all staff very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Perfect location for town.

03/04/2024: The cleanest McDonalds I have ever seen. Uninterrupted cleanliness even during busy lunch hours. Very quick service.

28/02/2024: Was here 9 months ago and it was fab, found it very disappointing this time, was a Saturday evening in Feb, wasn't overly busy but staff although were lovely they had to be kept asking for forgotten items, drinks, extra sides that were ordered, dessert items etc. Food wise starter was lovely but main course was practically inedible, got a beef stir fry, the beef was chopped up tiny and barely any in it and it was literally poisoned with soy sauce, was a big pool of it in the bottom of the dish and was so salty it couldn't be eaten. Then when bill came it was overcharged but in fairness to staff when questioned about it they sorted it out and refunded it. As said previously it was fab last time round so hopefully was just an off night.

20/03/2024: Good food, sit-in cafe, charging high street prices but all served on high table / chairs, using disposable cartons and cuttlery. At least other cafes in town using disposables provide comfortable seating. Won't be back! Mary

30/12/2023: Had a sit down meal there on Friday 30 th December 2023 Took 2 friends that were on holiday here for Christmas This meal was the worst meal I have ever had. Food was terrible service was terrible No heating at all This was so embarrassing we said no sauce everything was covere in sauce Crisp beef and chicken was was full of fat covered in sauce. Bill came to 83 euros I have complained to Manager and she Eva) said she would give me a 20 euro voucher to come back Not a hope and I am just putting this review up. Because im livid. Worst restaurant and food ever Will never go there again and I’m am letting people know If your looking for a good Chinese Stay away from this place
