31/08/2025: Love this coffee shop the staff are so lovely I took my wee girl in after school the other day she even bought a few toys for herself. Hot chocolate latte and buns all gorgeous at a reasonable price. Girls couldn’t have done enough for us 😀 You can also pick up lovely cards and gifts in store they have gorgeous candles & creams. They stock a lovely face cream from Dublin herbalists which I bought and it’s really lovely 🥰 Beautiful place our new favorite ❤️ Thanks again girls I don’t review very often but We left so happy Friday it’s a credit to your team

06/09/2025: The food was delicious and hot, so it was perfect. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful to our party. I would go there again.

17/08/2025: Good atmosphere, very spacious, lots of tables, all kinds of people come here, varied menu. Service, however, leaves much to be desired: I was sitting at the bar for almost 10 minutes and none of the bartenders cared to ask me what I wanted, serving instead other customers who arrived after me. I left unattended.

12/07/2025: Had the most amazing experience at the Sliabh Beagh Hotel. Everyone from the servers to the bar staff and office staff were exceptional, most friendly people you could meet. The food was out of this world (amazing chef). The rooms were comfortable and well stocked. The locals made you feel very welcome. Had an amazing time, dad meeting up with nieces who he hadn't see in years. Will be returning shortly. Thanks all for the amazing experience of Sliabh Beagh

09/09/2025: Awesome is a gem in the heart of Carrickmacross, serving coffee from expert roaster (roasts coffee in house), delicious bakes and always a kids hot chocolate for the little ones. Staff are top class, in a town where there is no shortage of coffee shops, this one stands out.

20/09/2025: Only if there was a negative star as an option to put . We did the reservation for 8 pm on Saturday in September. I went with my family and had to wait for around 20 mins. However, when we got the table, there was no menu card provided, and no one asked for anything. After waiting for 15 mins, my father-in-law asked one of waiters to give the menu card . We did the order, and got the starters. Next, thing , we didn't know that for the main course, we have to wait for around an hour. So, I am not sure if the service was slow or they have lack of cook/ chef in the kitchen. One hour for the main course and when it got served, none of us were particularly impressed by our orders. In the end, we asked for the bill and seems they "realized" their mistake, a complimentary dessert was offered for the table without any apology or any kind of talk. Not even once, during the waiting, anyone asked if we want any drink or anything. Tbh, it was a poor experience this time, given my in-laws have been there in the past and they can feel the difference this time. I am not sure if I should recommend this place. So, I will only say, go at your own risk and see, you might get lucky😄.

02/10/2025: We went for the first time today as we’d seen reviews it was very dog friendly - and happy to find it was! Plus the food was delicious & the staff absolutely lovely. Will definitely be back!

28/09/2025: Highly recommend for anyone looking for great coffee and even better company. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. The food (I recommend the pancakes!) and coffee are consistently excellent, and it’s the kind of place you look forward to coming back to. One of the things that makes it extra special is the community spirit – the Sunday run club is such a brilliant idea and adds a really positive vibe. The cafe is also dog friendly, which makes it the perfect spot to relax after a walk or run.

19/10/2025: We just dropped in for a quick drink and sat at the bar for one. The Guinness was good, service was quick and there was a nice atmosphere.

19/10/2025: We only had coffee/tea and a scone. All very nice and friendly. Alle the salads in the vitrine looked so fresh but we sadly had to move on before trying and tasting them all. We will be back.

16/07/2025: A lovely little spot that my partner and I visited for breakfast. It was quiet and the staff were quick to serve us. The breakfast menu has a nice collection of breakfast stables with something for everyone. We each had a Pancake Stack. Mine with Berries, Compote, Greek Yogurt and Honey. My partner's with Bacon, Maple Syrup and Pecans. The Coffee was good and fresh. Would definitely recommend this spot and we will certainly be back again.

30/09/2025: Sourdough didn't taste fresh, near impossible to cut after toasting. Really strange texture of avocado, like gritty and tasteless. Must have hit a bad day as locals recommended and reviews are great.

08/07/2025: Probably a good spot after shopping, the terasse is convenient. You don't come for the surroundings. What put me off is the price of the coffee and for that it's going to be the first and last time. 4.10€ for a cappuccino and 4.70€ for a non dairy (yeah I'm lactose intolerant not a fancy dub) It's the price you'd pay in London. As far as I can see Monaghan is far from being London. Now if it's because of the rent, it's a shame. Anyway too expensive (4.5€ a piece of cake... )
