31/10/2025: Best half pounder in the country, all locally sourced and very reasonable prices, especially considering what takeaways in Monaghan are charging nowadays. Really friendly staff.

26/04/2025: Great place to stop off after the Saturday parkrun beside the fairies too 🧚 Best ever bacon bap and cuppa highly recommend shame it’s 2 hours from home. almost forgot the bench is heated!!

31/08/2025: Love this coffee shop the staff are so lovely I took my wee girl in after school the other day she even bought a few toys for herself. Hot chocolate latte and buns all gorgeous at a reasonable price. Girls couldn’t have done enough for us 😀 You can also pick up lovely cards and gifts in store they have gorgeous candles & creams. They stock a lovely face cream from Dublin herbalists which I bought and it’s really lovely 🥰 Beautiful place our new favorite ❤️ Thanks again girls I don’t review very often but We left so happy Friday it’s a credit to your team

09/09/2025: Awesome is a gem in the heart of Carrickmacross, serving coffee from expert roaster (roasts coffee in house), delicious bakes and always a kids hot chocolate for the little ones. Staff are top class, in a town where there is no shortage of coffee shops, this one stands out.

19/10/2025: Surprising find. Very good food, good portion size and excellent value. Good service and lovely view of the lake. Would very much recommend if in the area.

11/11/2025: Excellent coffee and tea and really delicious scones. All of their food looks excellent, so next time we are in the area we will try lunch. There is also a nice array of what looks like homemade ice cream but I didn’t try one — next time for sure! Staff are lovely and very helpful. Highly recommended.

30/09/2025: Sourdough didn't taste fresh, near impossible to cut after toasting. Really strange texture of avocado, like gritty and tasteless. Must have hit a bad day as locals recommended and reviews are great.

15/12/2025: Brilliant food and atmosphere for Christmas party with work colleagues. Once again - food was outstanding.

13/12/2025: Staff were friendly and very helpful food was excellent the accessible room was excellent plenty of room for wheelchair top notch

08/07/2025: Probably a good spot after shopping, the terasse is convenient. You don't come for the surroundings. What put me off is the price of the coffee and for that it's going to be the first and last time. 4.10€ for a cappuccino and 4.70€ for a non dairy (yeah I'm lactose intolerant not a fancy dub) It's the price you'd pay in London. As far as I can see Monaghan is far from being London. Now if it's because of the rent, it's a shame. Anyway too expensive (4.5€ a piece of cake... )

14/09/2025: We hired Seany to do the catering for our wedding, after a previous caterer had let us down. On short notice, he agreed to cater for us, and had absolutely no issues with our different dietary requirements. He did us a full vegetarian menu, and managed to find a fantastic organic mince substitute that was divine. We also had two coeliacs, and a few picky eaters, but everyone was catered for incredibly. My father is not a fan of halloumi, but I can confirm Seany's food is so good, he actually asked for three portions of the halloumi tacos! All guests said the food was some of the best wedding food they'd had. We would highly recommend Blasta Street Kitchen.

14/09/2025: I attended a wedding where blasta street kitchen catered, wow the food was amazing, staff were so friendly, the owner Seány was so friendly and it was so nice to hear there story and there passion for there business. It was a fully vegetarian menu and as a non veggie I couldn’t get over how amazing the food was, so tasty and full of flavour, I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough 10 out of 10

23/11/2025: Had burgers, deep fried Brie, chicken wings that tasted reheated for the 3rd time, brownie and Bailey’s cheesecake for Desert. The burgers had no veg, just bun and the burger, dry. Worst burgers we’ve eaten. Very underwhelming, in fact disappointing. In terms of the atmosphere, at first there was no music playing, you could hear everyone’s conversation and them eating their food. I asked the waitress for music and then apparently they turned it on but it was very quiet. So I asked the guy who looked like a manager if the music could be turned up louder on this side of the restaurant, he kinda responded in an annoyed tone and the waitress girl was scared to ask him again I told her I’ll ask him myself. Anyways, the food didn’t make up for it. Also the sauce on the brownie was cold, makes no sense. We didn’t get a menu for like 10-20 minutes. Won’t be back

24/08/2025: Typical (as of old) Irish pub, serving food until the afternoon. Service not particularly friendly. For the rest, nice atmosphere if you like traditional places. Mostly frequented by locals.
