21/03/2024: Nice decor, friendly staff, an old hotel with character. Reception staff are very friendly and accommodating unfortunately the same cannot be said for the waiting staff at breakfast time. One who is Irish looked like she had the weight of the world on the shoulders and on the verge of tears. The other, a foreign national of Latino descent, perhaps Portuguese or Brazilian also had a sour demeanor, a face on her like a bulldog chewing a wasp, and would growl almost when asking for anything. As you can see from the picture the breakfast is a meagre affair. I had to ask for an extra tea bag for my pot, us Irish like strong tea not Earl Grey kind. I also had to ask for another bacon (only 1 served) and beans, each time my request was greeted with a growl and rolling eyes. I abstained from asking for toast for fear of the growl turning into a bite. A sorry end to a lovely stay unfortunately.

11/03/2024: This venue is improving greatly. With the opening of the canal harbour and early phase the facility and area will be a great place to visit.

02/03/2024: Government funded that's not thinking off other food places in clones .Red tape not suppose to harm local restaurants but management just want to look good .Big harm done putting people out off work.

21/02/2024: I was in Andy's for the first time last night with a friend. We both had steak and both were made absolutely perfectly. The sauces were also amazing. I want to mention a special thank you for Shannon, who was so warm, friendly and kind. I will absolutely return here!

15/02/2024: Stayed in Monaghan for the night went down to Andy's for dinner have to say what a lovely worm friendly place staff were brilliant great service and best food we have got in a long time. Nothing bad to say about this pub it's a must

13/03/2024: It's not great. Been a few times, generally pretty long waits for food and often feel like I'm in a wannabe frat house.. Got a chicken & bacon sandwich one time with no chicken. I would be more inclined to go just for a takeaway coffee

03/01/2024: The food is tasty here but nothing amazing. Some of the items on the menu are definitely over priced. The waiters are very pushy and don't give you time at all to look at the menu. I had two different waiters ask me the same question within a couple of minutes so it seems there is not much communication there

15/09/2023: Called it and the owner David seen me reading the menu. I didn't know but they didn't open until 4pm, I called at 3.30. He opened the door and invited me in and didn't even tell me they weren't open LOL. Got a mushroom and ham pizza with garlic bread with mushroom! It was lovely, All fresh made in front of you. A real family run pizza business... I'll be back any time I go through Monaghan town, after 4pm of course..
