03/02/2024: I felt that this did not live up to expectations . Whilst the photos show white table cloths the reality is plastic sudo marble. We were informed that there were just two sittings and it was not possible to book other times so despite 6.30 being too early I booked that to find we were the only people there for over half and hour and then others arrived. Most annoying. The atmosphere when we arrived was awful with staff shouting across the room and it feeling more like a transport cafe than a high quality restaurant. The food was ok but no more than that. Overall I felt that it was a very disappointing experience and one I would not repeat.

31/08/2024: we were 2 friends ordered margaret and bloody mary my mate send back it twice as the taste was not a bloody mary but something else, the bar tenders needs more training the margaret glass was not icy fresh as it has to be, two drinks total waste. we should have taken beer instead.

04/08/2024: The service let this restaurant down. The food was excellent and tasty. The staff didn’t appear to be trained in fully. The supervisors were excellent but the waiting staff didn’t appear clear on their duties and it was a let down.

21/05/2024: We recently attended the Osprey Hotel Herald and Devoy Restaurant for a family occasion. We booked the Confirmation menu for 18 people. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. All my family were very impressed with the quality. The service was great and very friendly. Would definitely recommend for any occasion.

19/05/2024: I booked in about an hour in advance and on arrival the service was great initially! Got seated well and the woman who brought us was great, the waiter who’s name I do not know was also great as we ordered our food and drinks, we had no problem handing our ids to him but when a manager came back and interrogated us questioning whether we were actually the people in our ID’s which was quite insulting and then proceeded to interrogate his staff on whether we were actually ordering food or just drinking? Simply because we are young men does not mean we deserve the disrespect given to us when we arrive at the hotel after being incredibly polite to the staff and even booked in to eat food when we just wanted to get something to eat after we finished work? He continued to watch us as we got our food and made us feel quite uncomfortable as we just wanted a relaxing lunch, other than all of that the food was absolutely incredible and it was spot on other than that!

24/02/2024: Great Breakfast, Really good food and Amazing service. Offered Top up of Tea Reece is making the whole thing run smoothly. Definitely worth a Try 5 stars from me

28/08/2024: Desperate service in the bar for food or drink , all staff were extremely poor Walked out after a 20 min wait for no service, who ever is managing the bar should be fired immediately. Left and went to Lawlors hotel where we received an excellent service and far better prices

12/07/2024: I brought my mother to the The Pippin Tree, Kilashee Hotel for afternoon tea for her birthday. We both had an excellent time and the food was absolutely delicious. The coronation chicken and mango chutney sandwiches were to die for and the panna cotta was served with fresh fruit and was utterly outstanding. My mother particularly enjoyed the egg mayonnaise on Guinness brown bread. As it was my mothers birthday we were also given an extra brownie as a treat, which was a lovely touch. Our enjoyment of the food was only enhanced with the excellent service by Shauna, who I can certainly describe as gifted in customer service and communication. She attended to our every need and was friendly, chatty and informative throughout. We really felt looked after during our visit. Overall it was a lovely experience and we are certain to return!

14/05/2024: We celebrated our wedding at the marbles restaurant with a small party of 13. It was fantastic! Our entire party was delighted with the food and service. The attention to details and flavours were outstanding. Thank you for making our day so special We will be back

09/06/2024: Overpriced and poor quality, a few of us got beef and we couldn't cut through it with the knives, vegetables were served late . Food very mediocre and certainly not worth what we paid.

03/05/2024: We popped into the Terrace Restaurant in Clayton Whites Hotel recently and enjoyed a lovely bit of food. I had a good Angus Burger which was pretty big with all the trimmings. Nice decor, really relaxing atmosphere and very polite and attentive. Not cheap, hotel prices I guess, but we all ate well so you get what you pay for in fairness.
