13/01/2025: Birthday night out. The restaurant and ambience are lovely but the food and service are lacking. After taking our orders for food and wine, we didn't see iir server again, it was as if the staff all left at 9.30 pr else they avoided our table because there was an hour gap between our starters and main course. The food was good but not up to it's price point by a long distance..it's nice pub food not fine dining as it is priced. Our waitress calculated and scoffed at our tip beside us, but the service and food were a huge disappointment on what was a special occasion, so we gave what we felt was a fair tip for that. I wouldn't recommend

12/01/2025: Came here last Saturday for dinner with my husband and the food was beautiful, nicest carbonara I've had in ireland and the wine is beautiful and my husbands pizza was to die for. Staff were excellent.
12/01/2025: Most overpriced pasta dish I’ve ever eaten. 23 € for pasta with fresh cream called “ cacio e pepe” , which is not even close to real cacio e pepe. Even bolognaise sauce , which my sister order wasn’t tase at all ( no spices ) . Overrated restaurant!!! This is not an Italian restaurant

12/01/2025: I had a lovely time. Amazing service, staff are so friendly and the food is great. Definitely give it a visit if you haven’t been I will 100% be going back.
11/01/2025: Shocking!! After booking a table we got put at a window ledge seat which me and my partner were too tall for. In fact we had to sit at an angle to get a leg under the ledge when asked for a table got attitude off staff and was told no. When paying for bill was met with staff members laughing as they asked how everything was. Wouldn’t recommend going.

09/01/2025: We recently stayed at the Maryborough Hotel for our anniversary, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was seamless, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. A great first impression.
Our delux room was stunning – spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable and a bottle of bubbly on arrival.
The food was another highlight of our stay. Every meal was delicious, from breakfast to dinner, with great attention to detail in presentation and flavour. Breakfast server was especially friendly and efficient.
Overall, the Maryborough Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway with really nice staff.
04/01/2025: We recently went as we had a spa package. Of three of us, only one had an excellent experience. We all booked the same treatment package but none of us received the same treatment, we each had missing aspects. My therapist barely massaged me and spent most of the time getting things like oils, it genuinely was the worst massage experience I’ve had. She didn’t offer me disposable underwear even though she knew I was in a wet swimsuit. When I asked, she told me to just roll them down. So I was cold. I also just happened to see the clock in the room when she left at the beginning and it was 5 past. I knew she rushed the treatment, and when I got off the table it was quarter to. The treatment was meant to be 50 mins long. The thermal area was lovely and we all enjoyed it. But the treatments were not really of a good standard, bar one. Overall not really an experience in keeping with the reputation the Maryborough has.

06/01/2025: Amicus boasts a beautiful and spacious interior, creating a lovely ambiance. Service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the food fell short. My sirloin was bland, and my wife's steak sandwich was poorly made with low-quality meat. While the setting is impressive, the food quality needs significant improvement.
