12/01/2025: Really love the atmosphere and food over there, good place to focus study. Unfortunately can't stay long bcz they need table back for next customer.

05/01/2025: I found a hair in my plate. The waitress changed it for another one, she was lovely. Once we were going to pay, they asked me if I wanted to pay separately or together. I said separately and they charged me all, another mistake, but it was ok. My complaint is for the blonde women (older staff) was very rude to us, with 0 customer service. I saw her attending the guys next to my table and she was horrible to them! I've been there good few times and I brought friends and family, but today was the last time. Never again. Now I can understand why there's always new staff. Horrible experience and very disappointing.

26/01/2025: Had a very disappointing dinner for 2 here just before Xmas. Our order was forgotten about and we had a lengthy wait before anyone realised. We were offered free potatoes to compensate! Then the steak arrived cold and uncooked. Sent it back for further cooking and it was returned to us still cold and uncooked! Waitress was apologetic and offered a free glass of wine but overall the service was poor and food was disappointing. They took ten steak off our bill but it was a really bad experience. They are charging premium prices so expected a premium service and unfortunately it was anything but that. Won’t return

05/01/2025: On a freezing cold January evening, we chanced upon this Italian gem and we’re not disappointed. The staf were so friendly and our waiter was an absolute gentleman. Beautiful decor, very romantic lighting. Recommend the cheesecake and ragu. Highly recommended

16/01/2025: Went in here last week to get a coffee and a sandwich, the atmosphere was pleasant. It was very affordable. The sandwich tasted better as its homemade compared to big retail chains. Well done to the people in gourmet who make these amazing sandwiches.

06/12/2024: I enjoyed a slice of raspberry pistachio tart for €3.50 and an Americano for €2.80 at Gourmet Tart Co. in Salthill. The taste of the cake was really convincing - fresh, balanced sweetness, and with a pleasant pistachio note. The coffee was also aromatic and offered a solid complement to the cake. On a positive note, there is plenty of seating and the toilets were clean and in good condition. Unfortunately, the experience is marred by a few aspects. The cleanliness of the tables leaves something to be desired as they are usually dirty. The disposable cutlery and cardboard plates used look cheap and take away a lot of the ambience of the café. The lack of WiFi is also a clear negative point these days. All in all, the price-performance ratio is okay, but the lack of attention to detail and the low appreciation from guests in terms of facilities and cleanliness mean that I only give it 3 out of 5 stars. Gourmet Tart Co. could do a lot more with its potential with small improvements.
