23/12/2025: They absolutely smashed it! Someone from a different café recommended Póg for the pancakes and we thanked them afterwards. The food at Póg was incredible, the staff so kind and the atmosphere was great. Excellent experience! Absolutely recommend🥰

31/12/2025: We arrived a little early before check in time but couldn’t be checked in as their check in time is at 3. Came back at 3 and he said the room wasn’t ready and to wait for 15 mins. 30 mins later and room wasn’t ready. Countless guest who arrived after us all got checked in quick. Like we were being punished for booking direct and being members. He then downgraded us pretending it was an upgrade to a tiny shower room although the room we booked was with a bath and shower. We had a toddler with us. Worst check in process we’ve ever experienced and the reception seating area is nonexistent so gets crowded and chaotic when busy. Otherwise, location was perfect and the rest of the staff were all very pleasant to deal with.

15/12/2025: Unfortunately, my experience did not match expectations. The service felt unfriendly and unapproachable, and the pub came across as classist and discriminatory. Using “had too much” as a blanket explanation for refusing service to people they don’t wish to accommodate is deeply disappointing and unprofessional.

24/12/2025: A really great spot for a quiet cocktail at the end of the evening. Service can be slow but in many ways it's befitting of the surroundings..... Nobody is in a rush..... Everybody has time...... Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the cocktails on offer.

21/12/2025: A really lovely experience at The Sidecar yesterday. This was my third weekend in a row visiting the Westbury and, although I wasn’t staying this time, the welcome we received was exceptional. Leticia was absolutely fabulous. Warm attentive and even remembered that I was a returning guest which was such a thoughtful touch. We started with just myself and my friend then later two friends joined us, and the team kindly accommodated us by moving us to a larger table with no fuss at all. The food was gorgeous, the drinks were fabulous, and the whole place had a beautiful Christmas atmosphere. What really stood out was the kindness and professionalism of the staff, they made us feel genuinely welcome. A wonderful afternoon and I’ll definitely be back.

07/12/2025: Although a cocktail place I drank whiskey all night - some great bottles available - Irish of course but Scottish too. A mix of different seating arrangements. We were on a table with a sofa which allowed for relaxed drinking watching the punters go by. Great evening.

06/12/2025: Had a booking for Friday 5th December, booked on the back of family recommendations. Turned up after walking in the rain for a booking at 2.15pm, door was answered and we were told that the staff member was on her own and could not take our booking, no prior warning was given, no call or message so we left. Really disappointing.

08/12/2025: Exceeded my expectations for pub food. Enjoyed the entire meal and the dessert sealed the deal. The whiskey sour was love.

04/12/2025: Went to this place as part of a group tour. Allegedly they were ready for us as the set menu was out. We were there for an hour and a half and never even got our food; waiter had no idea what was going on. No management came over to us. Had to ask 3 different times for our drinks, asked 4 times for food even asked for it to go so we could get back on our bus, never ended up getting food. I’m sure for regulars it’s better but today they were all deer in headlights. Wouldn’t recommend.
