26/07/2025: I was disappointed with my recent visit. I paid €4.35 for a double espresso with cream and was not provided with a spoon. In addition, the table was sticky and the overall cleanliness of the place left much to be desired. This doesn’t reflect the standard of service or hygien

26/07/2025: I had a lovely experience in this shop yesterday afternoon. The girl on the till, her name was Robin I believe, was very friendly and helped me decide what drink I would like. After she made me the drink, she even offered to change anything if I didn’t end up liking it. It was wonderful to have staff who were so helpful and accommodating. I will definitely be returning!

09/10/2025: Joan is the loviest of waitresses. But the brasserie is let down by paper napkins, not enough gravy with the beef bourguignon and cheesecake that’s served too cold.

02/10/2025: The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, most likely because it is mostly older people over 60. Service a bit slow, but very helpful waiter. All in all, a pleasant stay, nice food. I will definitely be back.....

09/09/2025: Great location with a lovely outdoor seating area… when it’s not under the rule of the militant barista who runs it like Fort Knox. She’s Starbucks’ gold champion for fastest patio closure 2025 and presumably training hard for the 2026 title. One moment you’re enjoying your €6 flat white, the next the chair is whisked from under you and you’ve been displaced. The only time I’ve ever seen true light in her eyes is when she’s evicting people who have just bought their coffee. She’ll shut the patio down a full hour (sometimes an hour and a half) before close. Today, she even started cleaning an hour early, I assume she got her floggings in ahead of schedule to be so “gracious.” Now she’s advanced to closing off indoor seating too, packing up the front chairs like some caffeinated drill sergeant. There’s no stopping her. She must be stopped. Frankly, this is worse than Starbucks’ political affiliations. And when you’ve finally been booted out? She parades the chairs and tables in front of you with a possessed look of victory. Evil is afoot in Dún Laoghaire Starbucks.

26/08/2025: There is a thing called “observing consistent decline of quality” “seeing pathetic service” etc etc I’ve been such a regularly ordering customer through online platforms and it started off with great tight packaging with no drop spilling, but now, now it’s as filthy, leaking and wrecked orders - also, I don’t know why on earth - Starbucks is weirdly using a plain brown, weak packaging rather the Starbucks’s very own printed strong bags! Alarming, isn’t it! See the photo I’m uploading how pathetic it’s becoming now - you think the money we give you comes freely?

16/09/2025: Sorry to say that, but this is a quite horrible place. Filthy as hell, nobody understands you (the Tuna Melt I ordered turned into a Chicken Pesto Roll) and it's just not a welcoming place at all. I think every prison canteen has more charm. A shame for a beautiful place like Marlay Park.

31/08/2025: Queuing system does not work. Even a short queue of about 7 or 8 people means a 20 minute wait for what becomes a melted ice cream or warm juice.

29/06/2025: Didn't eat, just a drink on the sidewalk area. Fun to watch the people walk by and enjoy a beer!

28/06/2025: We went here for brunch. I got a toasted sandwich and I noticed hair on top of it. First, I thought it could have been mine and didn't say anything. But then I found more hairs inside the sandwich so they literally couldn't have been mine. Returned this sandwich back to the till. The woman at the till accused me of putting my hair into the sandwich. More than that, she called me stupid for thinking it was their hair. Instead of an apology...such terrible customer service! Rudest staff I've ever encountered.

03/10/2025: My wife and I are locals and have been customers here before, but we had a terrible experience. She had just finished her wine while I was still drinking my beer, when an older man who seemed to be in charge came over and abruptly asked if we had finished. When I replied that if he wanted to seat someone else at our table he was welcome to, he aggressively told us there were “lots of people waiting” and effectively invited us to leave. This is no way to treat loyal, local customers. The attitude was rude and hostile, and it completely ruined the visit. Sadly, this is not the kind of atmosphere you expect or want from a neighbourhood pub. After this experience, I looked at other reviews and saw many similar complaints about rudeness and poor treatment. Unfortunately, it seems this behaviour is not unusual here. We will not be returning and cannot recommend it.

24/09/2025: Very nice pub. Old wood style with a fire out back. Large comfy couches in the front. A very friendly old git as a barman. A good trad session most Wednesdays 9:15 to 11.

24/09/2025: Been a student in maynooth 3 years not going to go into much detail but had a issue with trying to order a sandwich and the staff response was hostile and unfriendly and smart told me to speak to a manager and he jumped at me totally unprofessional and unfriendly won’t be going back

11/08/2025: Bueno, he hecho muchas compras aquí y la exhibición es muy agradable. Siempre encuentro muchos productos que me gustan y aprecio algunos de sus alimentos preparados, aunque no todos. Pero cuidado... los precios son altos en casi todo.

10/08/2025: Fresh is a really nice store with a great variety of products—from fresh produce to ready-to-eat meals, you can find almost everything you need in one place. The layout is clean and well-organized, and it’s always pleasant to shop here. That said, prices have been climbing, and the portions in the value meals have gotten smaller, which makes them feel a little less worth it than before. Still, it’s a great spot for convenience and variety, especially if you don’t mind paying a bit extra for the selection.

04/10/2025: App based order system, no option to order at the bar or from member of staff. Staff rude told payment was through Google pay only. No card/cash option.

16/09/2025: Used to love the Sandwiches. Coffee is great. Have not been back since about 3 months ago they appeared to change the sandwiches. They didn't respond to an email regarding this. I'll try again sometime soon to see if they have gone back to the super sandwiches they used to have. Nope. No change. Not for me!

05/09/2025: Rock hard chips - like eating cement. The staff couldn't have cared less. If you don't bring it back, they won't entertain you. The whole point of a takeaway is not to have to go back. Awful. Avoid!

23/09/2025: I’m really surprised to read the review posted by John Redmond dated 22/09/25, as my own experience at this café has been completely different. I was there at the same time and witnessed the interaction mentioned. The staff member in question was polite, respectful, and provided their usual great service. I’ve always found the team here to be welcoming, hardworking, and attentive, and the food and coffee are consistently excellent. It’s a shame to see such an unfair review when the staff go above and beyond for their customers.

22/09/2025: I popped in to this cafe for a quick coffee between meetings I ordered a cappuccino only to be served by quite possibly the rudest most abrasive individual ive had the misfortune to bump into. Absolutely no manners whatsoever.He literally slammed my coffee on the table I then approached the till to pay for the coffee only to endure yet more bad manners and aggressive attitude. To the individual dressed in black that ' served ' me this morning you really need to learn how to treat customers respectfully, your an absolute disgrace

23/07/2025: ordered of just eat for collection by mistake, rang them they told me they can't cancel I'd to do it myself 3 of us trying to cancel we couldn't, rang us when it was ready asked if I got it sorted and if I wanted it delivered, got it delivered nearly 50 euro and missing 2 portions of pancakes for the kids and their not answering their phone

25/06/2025: Excellent staff with attention to detail . Food is always prepared fresh and with a smile . Delivery options available aswel. Highly recommend
