11/05/2025: We had a very disappointing experience at Ollie's Bar. We went with our baby, who started crying at one point—as any small child naturally might. Instead of showing any understanding or empathy, the staff asked us to leave, as if having a baby was inappropriate or unwelcome by default. We understand that bars may not always be family-oriented spaces, but the way we were treated was unprofessional and completely insensitive. We felt judged and rejected for something entirely normal. It wasn’t just about being asked to leave—it was the total lack of basic humanity and compassion toward parents simply trying to enjoy a social moment responsibly. We absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone with children or anyone expecting to be treated with basic respect.

30/04/2025: Went for dinner with my fiancé and toddler, the toddler rates the chips pretty high, but myself and partner got the roast.. broccoli and cauliflower undercooked, the carrots were sour? Very strange taste off them. Stuffing was hydrophobic it was that dry and the gravy was so thick you could paste your walls with it. Ate the guts of it because we were starving but Jaysus wish we’d just gone up to sandyford house instead

19/02/2025: Went to the lounge Female black hair seen me As she was talking to local female customer s Then she ran away into the bar For the next 5 mins+ She was putting empty beer barrel s From the bar She fully ignored me After that I decided to go into the bar As I engaged with a local Customer Only then I was served After waiting another few minutes Then for my 2 Nd pint of Guinness I had to ask blonde lady Waiting for my drink Another 5 mins Then I met batman For 3rd pint More manners in a pig Lucky for him I'm a butcher by trade Local in fenelons ballybrack As a youth 50 years ago I was allways told back in them days If the customer wasn't there You wouldn't have a job Going back to the lounge Their seem to be only 1 drink Pump on display So sad today generation staff Are only interested In there mobile phone s And what time they are finishing work Have - respect for their customers Especially for their elders Sad Wonder how would the owner feel If the shoe was on the other foot Iv have never had got service Only for a local customer Was an old friend Why victimize your elders Regardless if you are a local or not My money is the same colour

22/05/2025: I was invited to my son's friend birthday party. Staff were very cool and accommodated all of us nicely, they sang happy birthday and all... Kids space is a plus. Loved the chicken nachos.

11/04/2025: The staff are very unfriendly to begin with. Many people, myself included go to the park with our dogs however despite the fact that this cafe sells ice cream for dogs, I can't bring him in to order it or anything for that matter. No, I won't tie him up outside thanks. Why don't you install a hatch for people to order through since you don't let them in? You lose custom every day doing this.

31/05/2025: Disappointed with the bottomless brunch. The “cocktails” were awful - consisting of syrup and prosecco. The food was terrible. Only 3 breakfast options and the eggs benny was a small cold slice of Serrano ham on a dry English muffin. We had some potatoes on the side which were decent but nothing special. One persons meal came out and then another 10 minutes went by before the other 2 dinners meals came out. This brunch cost us 55 euros each with a 12.5% service charge. One of the biggest rip offs I’ve encountered. Save your money and go elsewhere.

13/06/2025: Stopped into O’Brien’s for a quick breakfast and left with a full belly, clean hands, and deep respect for a spotless bathroom. I went for the cream cheese and bacon bagel — a classic combo that rarely fails. It was almost perfect, though the bagel itself was just a tad undercooked. A little on the doughy side, like it panicked halfway through baking and gave up. Still tasty though — cream cheese covers a multitude of sins. Staff were lovely: friendly but chill, the kind of people who’ll greet you warmly but won’t judge you for scrolling on your phone with one hand and demolishing a bagel with the other. Tea was grand. The whole lot came in under a tenner, which in Dublin is practically a miracle. Throw in a pristine bathroom (seriously, it was so clean I briefly considered moving in), and you’ve got yourself a great little breakfast spot. Would return. Might even bring the bagel a pep talk next time.

27/05/2025: Loved this place. Came in with a group of five and everyone thought it was great. I had the triple-decker Chipotle and it was really good. Extremely friendly staff. Highly recommended!

12/06/2025: Always go here after a night out or if we want abit of food in town, the app is amazing for meal deals highly recommend

08/06/2025: I didn't have my card on me tonight and was refusing service because they don't take cash. It's against our constitution right to not take cash. If you want to change that then you have to go through a referendum. I will be contacting you tomorrow and expect a full explanation.

09/06/2025: I’ve actually never left a review even when I had bad food but this is how bad this was. I ordered a tuna melt. On the menu said it had mayo on it but besides the cheese and tuna, it was completely dry. The Tuna tasted completely off and was so so dry, no mayonnaise or oil or anything on it. Tasted like it had been left out or something. I took three bites out of a giant sandwich and couldn’t finish it. Just ate my chips and when I said it to the waitress she just said ok sorry and still charged me for the full thing! I couldn’t believe it, she let me pay for a nearly full sandwich that I couldn’t eat. There was not another soul in the place either, so they didn’t have the excuse of being busy.

23/05/2025: Pop in for breakfast - had chicken pesto sandwich and tea - it was tasty. However, the male assistant (with glasses and beard) was blowing his nose loudly behind the counter..... it was disgusting for me to continue eating my sandwich 🤮 I noticed that in Ireland lots of people blow their nose in eating areas and they do it quiet loud...... why not to go to the bathroom or at least do it discreetly? Anyway, wasn't pleasant experience for me!
