Bad Ass Cafe
Dublin
19/05/2026: The place is definitely interesting and full of atmosphere. The bar itself is located in a corner building, which honestly feels like the perfect location for Temple Bar. You can immediately tell it’s made for tourists, lovers of Irish music, and anyone looking for that loud Dublin pub experience.
At first, though, we couldn’t even find the main entrance and accidentally entered from another side. Our first impression was actually a bit strange — the place looked a little sketchy, and we weren’t even sure we were in the right spot. But once we got inside, there was live music, lots of people, laughter, noise, and suddenly that real Irish atmosphere hit us. It actually felt great to be there.
We had booked a table through the Early Table App and were looking for the restaurant area upstairs. When we went up, it became obvious that the building is very old — everything felt worn, shaky, and a bit tired. There weren’t many people there, maybe one large table and a couple of smaller ones.
The waitress herself was lovely. She explained the menu, gave recommendations, and was genuinely friendly, so no complaints about her personally. But overall, the service was quite slow. We sat for a long time without menus or cutlery, and eventually I even sent my child to get the menus herself.
The food arrived in reasonable time, but almost everything was extremely salty. Especially the steak — it wasn’t really the kind of steak you would expect, and there was so much salt that even beer couldn’t balance it out. At the same time, some dishes were genuinely tasty: the wings were really good, and the burger was surprisingly nice too. The mussels were tiny though — honestly, I’d probably change suppliers if I were them.
The presentation was very basic, without much attention to detail: lots of potatoes, barely any vegetables, very small plates, and the child’s portion looked especially odd. Everything felt rushed and made for tourists rather than for people who truly appreciate food.
So yes, the place is famous, historic, and full of character. It’s definitely worth visiting once to experience the Temple Bar vibe. But personally, I probably wouldn’t come back a second time.
18/05/2026: We went to this place for an after-dinner drink and were drawn in by the live music that could be heard even in Crown Alley.
This young couple, playing and singing, got the whole place dancing, full of young people eager to have fun. I can't comment on the food because we didn't eat, but we did have a beer. It's definitely a great place to meet up and have fun.

O'Reilly's
Dublin
06/04/2026: One of the most unique pubs in my Dublin trip! Tucked away under the railway arches, it has a unique underground vibe with its stone walls and cozy corners. It’s the perfect spot for a pint while waiting for a train or escaping the city bustle. Authentic, and full of character.
04/04/2026: Well, but more than an Irish pub, it's a bar with a strange atmosphere. Plus, maps confuses you to get there.

Brother Hubbard
Dublin
15/05/2026: The back area was extremely dirty and messy. The table and floor were not clean. I politely asked the lady at the counter if she could wipe the table as it was very dirty, but she responded with attitude and even kicked my bag which was on the floor without apologising.
If you cannot be friendly, why work in customer service? Her behaviour was rude and ill-mannered and it completely ruined our experience.
However, the blonde girl who joined later was very sweet and lovely, so I do appreciate her kindness at the end.
12/05/2026: Overall, the place did not leave any special impression on me. The breakfast was quite ordinary, nothing special, and the staff were not very friendly. The food and service were average, so I’m unlikely to come back here again.

Hardy's Bar
Dublin
02/04/2026: The staff are rude and incompetent. The rooms are dated and dirty. The food is awful. It looks pretty but it's possibly the most unpleasant place I ever stayed in. Just awful. The worst hotel inn town by a long way
02/04/2026: Fading fast. Worn carpets, dirty and poorly maintained rooms. Grubby , dated bathrooms. Very poor service from rude management. Terrible bars. This place is awful.

16/05/2026: Cute little place but the toasties were very safe. I would have liked more interesting options with blue cheese or surprising combinations
11/05/2026: Super friendly staff, but unfortunately only natural wine.

Wishing Well
Dublin
18/02/2026: Good food and very friendly staff. Kathy
24/01/2026: Nice food, little veg (even though explicitly stated on the menu). The chips could have been fried slightly longer. Portion size is decent, but men will probably need to order a side with it. Atmosphere is good, sports were visible from all booths. Service was friendly. Good traditional pub.

Tenters Gastropub
Dublin
08/05/2026: Did take a while to be seated - guess only one person on duty - until Roderick came on and he seated us right away. His recommendations were spot on, whether the Burrata Salad or the Seafood Chowder; both of which hit the spot. Whether Guinness or Guinness 0.0, both of tap and ideal to commence or conclude one’s meal.
Recommend a visit especially if staying at the Marriott Aloft.
28/04/2026: Went to Tenters for a quiet dinner by myself while visiting Dublin for work. And it didn't disappoint. The servers were helpful and courteous, the lighting ambient and mellow, the noise level just right, and the food- delicious. And the Guinness! A perfect pour (I HAD to take a large sip before snapping a photo). The Guinness in Ireland always tastes so much different than anywhere else in the world.

The Music Café
Dublin
31/05/2026: Been there twice and it is a nice place to hang out with a friend or to chill with a book.
Not overpriced, nice staff.
It is super small though, meaning you might not find a spot easily
17/05/2026: Tea advertised on wall as €3, but we were charged €3.80. Also a bad smell was coming out of the bathrooms, which wasn’t pleasant as we were seated right outside the bathroom door.
Nice location and decor, but otherwise lacking.

Huck's
Dublin
22/03/2026: Its an amazing bar with an amazing bartender roster, i really love all of them and i am really proud of all of them, everything is top quality and Dublin will never understand how valuable this bar is. Manager Joao is king, I wish all the pubs in dublin were like this
17/01/2026: It’s a nice environment to be in but a double Jameson and Coke was €17.80. Got to admit no warning of that was a bit of a sting
Everyone one else enjoyed it though with just beers
