17/05/2025: Food was very poor. Chicken burger was burnt, smash burger was so-so taste wise, and the fries were bland and limp (possibly cooked and left sitting for some time). Service was really slow and you had to make a decent effort to try and get a server to come over to the table. There was just a lack of care given by the staff. We had to ask for cutlery and sauces. Not the first time we've had bad service. I honestly don't know how the owners/management don't read these reviews and see something needs to change. It's as if the staff are actively trying to avoid serving customers. Drinks, as always, take an absolute age to be served. Won't be back.

21/05/2025: I usually like to stop there and I was many times ,but this time I am giving the lowest possible review for food that was served to me fish chowder with literally two muscles inside and two tiny slices of bread .Please see yourself and let me know if anyone would pay 14 euro for this .Service is good ,the place is a nice and quiet location,but I suggest better caution with food since it's not important just visual ,Aldo portions are also small and tiny and there is no value in that meal at all . Disappointment today..Please see the attached photo of what I was served and what I got .I ordered fish chowder and one beer total cost of 21 euro and was left disappointed with the food completely .

05/06/2025: Burger was overcooked, but everything else we got was delicious. Had halal chicken option.

31/05/2025: Told us they were closing when we had reservations. Changed their mind and we were able to get food. Portions mixed, some small some big. Flavour only ok. Prices dear for what they're serving. Won't be going back.

23/05/2025: Place are order for 6 people. Each order came out at a different time with in 10 minutes. Order a burger no mayo came with mayo. Order wings spicy for a starter got bbq and the dinner order. Order a Caesar salad came with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top did not order it like that ordered it without cheese. Chicken tenders had like a sugar sprinkle on them . Worst spot we've eaten in since we have beef in Dublin.

19/05/2025: Downstairs is very touristy with great live music but overpriced drinks. Upstairs has surprisingly good food. Worth a look

10/06/2025: I want to start by saying the food was really nice here and the staff were really really lovely but the fun ended there. We arrived here 4 mins early for our 4pm booking and were turned away and asked to come back in 10 mins because of a private function. We were not offered any compensation for this, even a drink for the inconvenience. When we got inside, (the place is really nice inside) but we couldn't sit in this seat because there was a private function on upstairs and when I tell you the atrocious noise that came from there was utterly insane. I couldn't' even make out if the musician was any good because the PA was literally the worst PA on the planet. All you could hear was screaming and shouting. I asked was this party here often and I was told it was the first time. I absolutely love Brazilian music and that's what this party claimed to be playing. More like an insult to Brazil. We were moved out the back to the cold, but there were heaters and so we were grand. Then the staff put the house music on through the speakers to try drown out the cacophonous din of hell coming from upstairs, that made it all worse and we nearly left but I had pre bought a living social voucher so I was a bit determined to stay. They EVENTUALLY turned down the house music and all we could do was laugh and vow never to return. I can't understand why management didn't give me warning that the level of screaming down a microphone would be present the same time as me and my party were attending. Forewarned is forearmed and all that. I had my booking for nearly 2 weeks and someone should have given me the opportunity to make alternative arrangements. If i had have had the head's up, I could have said "well at least they told me". I won't be returning here for the way that management run the place. But again, the girls who served us were really lovely and of course the "party" wasn't their fault. Bad management, probably won't last much longer for that reason. Shame, the food was really good.

08/06/2025: Really surprised by the vegana pizza here. It was full of flavour, fresh basil, plus vegan parmesan. Highly recommend. Pints of G are yum too. And not at bad prices either

14/03/2025: Este era un pequeño pub genial. Nos encantó el ambiente relajado, con un montón de rincones acogedores para sentarse, y tenían una fantástica selección de cervezas. El personal estaba muy bien informado sobre lo que tenían y nos recomendó un par de stouts con sabor muy agradable. No comimos aquí, pero la comida se veía bastante bien. También es amigable para perros, que siempre obtiene puntos de bonificación de nosotros.

15/06/2025: Clean but old-fashioned room, broken shower rail, sink underside in poor condition, poorly painted walls, mediocre continental breakfast, boxed cereals, limited selection, bread arrived after breakfast, no fruit....go to a B&B instead... you'll be better served

24/04/2025: Disfrutamos de un encantador almuerzo familiar aquí recientemente — tuve una ciabatta muy picante, mientras que mi pareja deliraba sobre el pollo supremo y mis hijos demolieron sus tortitas. La camarera no pudo haber sido más servicial e incluso traer malvaviscos extra para los chicos.

30/03/2025: Si te gustan tus cubiertos colgados en la mesa, el café servido sin cuchara, las bebidas en un vaso sucio y el personal malhumorado, este es el lugar para ti.
