03/01/2025: Very nice espresso, tasty lasagne, really nice hand made cakes - small, light, tasty. Smaller main portion left space for dessert; just the right size really.

09/12/2024: Delightful cat themed Italian coffee shop in Bray. Good selection of tasty treats including many gluten free sweet things. The hot chocolate is amazing. Staff are lovely and the decor is super cute.

30/11/2024: A small café located in a side street near Bray station, the Black Gatta is an extremely welcoming and well-kept place. The underlying themes are books and cats: the former are available to all customers in the large bookcase on the side wall, the latter form the decoration of the café in cushions, napkin holders and pictures. The atmosphere is comfortable, the owners are very courteous. We tried desserts and coffee, all excellent.

08/01/2025: Wonderful hotel! Very cozy room with a view at the beachfront. Extremely friendly and helpful staff! There are two restaurants directly at the hotel, which are absolute to recommend for breakfast and dinner (and a pint of Guinness or two ...). The hotel does not have free parking, so you have to park in the street. We did not have any problem to find a space directly in front of the hotel each evening after we returned from our daily trips. For this prime location, directly at the beach,the parking is not very expensive (1€ per hour from 8:30 to 18:30, with a limit of 10 hours total) - but bring coins, since card payment is hit or miss. All in all a splendid stay - highly recommended!

26/12/2024: Spent our last night here before heading off to Rome and the staff was so nice. We had a twin room on the top/third floor, there is no elevator so keep that in mind. The staff brought up our luggage to our room but we left early in the morning and had to bring them down ourselves. The room was clean and comfortable.

29/11/2024: The pizza here is insanely good, really high quality ingredients and the wood fired oven makes for a delicious meal. Very reasonably priced as well.

02/11/2024: You can always tell how good a woodfired pizza spot is by how good their margarita is. Beautiful pizza, happened to stop in on my way to Glendalough. This pizza is head and shoulders above ANYTHING I’ve had in Venice. The dough I believe is made fresh in house which is always a bonus & they also do a ‘Lemon Mayo Coleslaw’ which I’m dying to try & will definitely get the next time I’m passing. Would like to see more of a selection on the ‘sides’ part of the menu. Price is probably a bit on the steeper side for some, although I don’t mind paying it for good quality food but I think others would find something to say. Overall 9.5/10. Would return.

22/12/2024: The Aboretum Cafe, Kilqude, until recently had a great reputation for its food and friendly staff. However friends have recently expressed their disappointment in the quality of the food and today I to experienced the dreadful quality of their food and interaction with staff who were on the point of being downright rude and or disinterested. Would not recommend anyone to eat in this cafe. The counter where the till is located and where coffee is served was dirty and unclean. The tables were cleared but not wiped between customers. It appears that the catering has been farmed out to a company who sell inferior pre-prepared food. Not the freshly prepared salads, quality savoury items and delicious cakes previously available. The owners of the Arbortum appear to have no respect for customers who have been loyal and recommended the Aboretum to their relative and friends over the years.

14/11/2024: Beautiful place garden centre is fab. They also have clothes and extra nice things!

04/01/2025: Really enjoy this cafe for breakfast and have been there several times. The only minor complaint it’s quite cold inside especially when bringing kids, could do with some heat being on. Otherwise it’s great food and value for money.

17/12/2024: Love this place, really authentic breton gallettes! This has become our regular lunch spot when I visit my granny, and I often bring home a bottle of cider for dinner too! Love that you can order breton bowls with your choice of name on, and I have my eye on the shirts for gifts next year! Wonderful place, Staff and food!!!

27/09/2024: We stopped here on our way to Donegal. A bit off the main road, it's behind the craft artists area, but well worth the stop. Great sandwiches and coffee, and we got free soup which was amazing.

10/09/2024: I was there twice on very different trips. Once with my wife during winter on a road trip and again with a large group of cyclists on a charity cycle across the wild atlant way. Both times the food was excellent, service was super nice and quick and I had a great time. Highly recommended.

14/01/2025: The food comes out almost rotten, if not moldy, the products are the cheapest or most economical, it is a mafia place, I have worked there, the owner is a slave driver who treats the employees badly, I have worked there and they have used me like a rag, they have treated me badly, and they never knew my hours.

14/01/2025: We went here on New Year's Day. We liked the atmosphere and the service but we didn't think the food was great.

01/11/2024: Small pub, but super cozy. We sat at the little tables outside where we could calmly drink our pints. The very friendly waiter suggested us a beer and, in my opinion, we are better than Guiness. A good place to have a drink.

08/01/2025: Staff was very rude. We asked for a table and what looked like the manager put his hand up and said he was too busy to talk to us. He then clicked his fingers at a young employee and gestured at us, and she seated us without speaking. I was aghast.

06/01/2025: was sat in the cafe of the brass fox for a quick bite to eat before work, staff where very friendly and helpful and the food was lovely and flavourful.
