The Strand Hotel Bray

13/02/2025: DO NOT STAY HERE if you value your money. I booked directly with this hotel as to give the money directly to the hotel rather than give part to a booking site. Not only did they charge me a 200 pound deposit, but did so 4 times. I was also charged twice for my hotel rooms. On asking the hotel clerk, he tried to tell me that didn’t happen. I tried showing him on my bank card, he said “it is your bank”. I am out over $500. The rooms were not the cleanest but after seeing the charges I was awake all night anyway. I have made a formal inquest with the Ireland travel board. And my credit card company. Stay away if you value your money.

28/01/2025: Absolute favourite casual breakfast spot in Bray. The food's always good. Portion size is always solid. Cost is very reasonable. And our kids love it too <3

11/02/2025: Finest woodfire pizza I ever had till date. Easily one of the best. The pizza was baked to a perfect concistency. They also have a nice selection of pastries which are heavenly. Fantastic prices for it.
It is a bit far from my place but I do not mind driving there for a nice pizza. Great staff and customer service too.

22/01/2025: I used to love visiting this garden centre and was excited to visit after the big refurbishment. However, unfortunately, I felt disappointed. I've been back a few times since hoping things would continue to improve, but this hasn't been my experience. The plant section seems to be a lot smaller with less choice. Some of the plants also seemed dried out and stressed. The home living section is nice, but the houseplant section seems very hit and miss, sometimes having a reasonable selection and sometimes not also with some suffering badly from lack of water. Sadly, I dont think I would bother calling in again.

01/11/2024: Small pub, but super cozy. We sat at the little tables outside where we could calmly drink our pints.
The very friendly waiter suggested us a beer and, in my opinion, we are better than Guiness.
A good place to have a drink.
