02/03/2026: Grab a poke bowl for on the go. Food is nice enough to go again. I enjoyed mine, the daughter found it average. We both ordered the salmon. Im coeliac and the staff (although lovely) didnt know anything about it. Luckily, they have the allergins on the wall. Its a quaint food stall in the Blackrock Market laneway. No parking nearby.

01/04/2026: First night in Galway and we wanted something warm and flavorful. Had this place bookmarked when trip planning and were so pleased it lived up to the expectations. Great atmosphere and within a minute we were offered a vegan menu- woo! Corn Ribs - these were good but the next starter stole the show. Spicy chips - fries with the most tantalizing spices. We devoured this and if we didnt have other dishes coming, would have easily eaten another plate! Sichuan Sauce with seitan- darker sauce with seitan chunks that added great richness and depth to a slightly sweet peppery base. We also had a tofu dish that uses a tomato base sauce - I cant remember the name of this other than it began with an “M”. This was a great compliment to the seitan dish. We dug into the mains before I could get a good picture 😀 Great atmosphere and so cool to hear the rushing water down the river just in front of the restaurant when you walk out.

29/06/2025: Wollte zur "Happy Hour" ein paar kleine Austern verspeisen und hatte mich wirklich schon gefreut...setze mich hin und bestelle 6 Stück...nach 5min kommt der Wein, leider keine Austern dazu. Nach weiteren 15min höfliche Nachfrage, es dauert noch weil andere Bestellungen vor mir. Nach weiteren 20min immer noch keine Austern, auf Nachfrage "es würde nicht mehr lange dauern", Wein nachgeordert mit dem dezenten Hinweis, dass der wohl hoffentlich aufs Haus geht. Nach weiteren 15min (kein Witz) kamen dann endlich 6 schlecht geöffnete Austern, mein Wein war leer und es gab auch keinen Nachschlag. Beim Zahlen dann auch keine Happy Hour und auf dann eher verärgerte Nachfrage nach dem "Wein aufs Haus", insgesamt 38€ für 6 mickrige Austern und zwei zeitversetzte Weinchen und eine Stunde Zeitaufwand. Unglaublich und wirklich sehr enttäuschend, hat mir den Nachmittag ordentlich verdorben.

03/05/2026: Went to brunch at The Ivy Dublin yesterday and was absolutely stunned by how poor the food was. My sister ordered pancakes and immediately noticed they weren't freshly made. When she asked if they were bought in, the staff confirmed yes and apologised, then offered her something else. She switched to Eggs Benedict, which was OK, but the chips were overcooked and hard. I had the avocado and Eggs Benedict - again, just OK. The avocado was roughly cut up and the portion size was shockingly small for the price. I'm a huge fan of The Ivy and go regularly when in London, but this was so poor. The quality gap between the London locations and Dublin is massive. The staff were great - friendly and apologetic - but it's hard to protect a brand when the food is this substandard. What made it worse: despite the pancakes being sent back and admitting they were pre-bought, nothing was taken off the bill. For the price point, this is simply unacceptable. The Ivy brand deserves better than this. Will not be returning to the Dublin location.

03/05/2026: The atmosphere was nice , the staff very polite and friendly but the negligible prortion of some food are socking - specifically the blackened cod fillet

11/04/2026: Whenever I’m in Bray, this is where I head for a meal. The only downside was a specific visit where the staff were surprisingly short with my dad. He took it in stride, joking that it was just part of the local charm, but the locals sitting beside us were quick to tell us that such behavior isn't normal for Ireland. Aside from that one-off encounter, I still highly recommend this spot.

05/04/2026: It's exactly what you're looking for: friendly, cost, warm, great food, family and dog friendly and just makes for a perfect meal and place to chill while exploring the city. A must go!

10/06/2025: Restaurant idéalement situé au bord de l’océan. Nous avions réservé notre table à l’avance, heureusement car il y avait beaucoup de monde. Le personnel était efficace et sympathique et la nourriture délicieuse. Très bonne adresse.

09/06/2025: Our introduction to monks was, if we wanted to eat on the deck we would have to come inside to order and bring our own food and drinks out. We were home from Canada and it had been a number of years since I had been to Monks. The service was rude and abrupt. The Guinness was great. The crab claw starter was excellent. My sister had asked for a salad dressing on the side and was told if it was made then no she couldn’t. The triple fried frozen chips with my not fresh catch of the day was very disappointing as was having to wait and wait for the server to come back to pay.

17/09/2025: Double espresso and ham & cheese panini at Dublin Airport. The sweet tangy mustard makes it. Absolutely delicious!

02/09/2025: I spent 7.95 euro on a chicken tikka wrap. Absolutely no flavour at all. Utter waste of money. I would never purchase again from shop. I wasn't expecting miracles but a half decent wrap would have been most welcome.

07/09/2025: A lovely restaurant with really great waitstaff! My friend said the bangers and mash was so good she could have it 3x over - highly recommended! The small steak was nice, a little sinew-y at first but the peppercorn sauce was delicious. Great portion sizes!

30/11/2025: Amazing little coffee shop with fantastic espresso and baked goods! Highly recommend getting a cup to go before walking the River Lee if in the Blackrock area.

24/10/2025: Delicious coffee and pastries/cakes. The gelato is great too.

14/03/2026: Wait time wasn’t to bad but they brought out starters and mains at the same. Chips were dry and no taste. There dressed chip where nothing to be desired . There burgers where middle of the road. Would not be going back!

12/01/2026: Kebab was really bad, I got half meat chicken half doner. Doner was ok but the chicken was really soft and spongy and tasted like the rubbery pre sliced chicken you can get in packets in supermarkets. It was really bad. Chips were ok but also no seasoning. Haven't tried the other stuff on the menu but definitely don't come here for kebab.
