17/05/2025: Varied menu choices on offer with good fish selection and specials too. Booked beforehand and visited 2 times and enjoyed tasty evening meals. Some mains are more generous than others . Limited wines by the glass. Genial host and friendly efficient staff.

16/05/2025: This pub is simply wonderful ... delicious food, generous servings, sane prices ... the owner, fergus, is a gracious and funny host ... people drive for miles to dine at mary ann's. we first dined there 40 years ago ... hasn't changed a bit. thank goodness.

04/05/2025: This restaurant is in the heart of the lively temple bar area of Dublin. We received a warm welcome from Mike who was friendly,helpful and very efficient. Atmosphere was friendly and lively. The food was traditional Irish and comfortable. Mike suggested we shared boxty fries before our meal which were delicious

27/04/2025: Pasé a Boxty sin reservación en un domingo ocupado por la noche. En 10 minutos estábamos sentados en una mesa leyendo el menú. Mi querida esposa tiene celiaquía (alérgica al gluten) y nuestra camarera Oggi fue muy precisa al señalar lo que mi esposa podía comer. Resulta que Boxty tiene una amplia gama de comidas sin gluten. Elegí el pastel de pastores y mi esposa eligió la tradicional carne en conserva. Ambas comidas eran de gran calidad. El servicio fue eficiente y amable. Es caro, sin embargo esto se compensa con la calidad de la comida y el servicio. ¡Cuidado con Oggi, tiene una cara amable!

15/05/2025: We stumbled in by chance. We wanted something to eat, and the bar was right in front of us, so we went in. There weren't many customers in the restaurant, but it still took a while before we were assigned a table in the corner, which was too small for six people. Then, for a long time, no one came to take our order – a no-go! The service was rather mediocre 😏 The value for money wasn't really good either 😏. The prices were relatively high, the portions relatively small, and the taste was rather so-so. In short, we wouldn't go there again.

08/05/2025: Ravi's is THE pub where you have to dine to have the atmosphere as a bonus. Live music every evening guaranteed. On the other hand, like everywhere in Connemara, plan to dine around 6:30 p.m. to have a good table.

06/05/2025: I met two lovely women in Luigis today who looked after me and the group that I had with me. They chatted easily with us while preparing 13 portions for the group, and even had a few words 'as Gaeilge' with us. And what can I say about the food....there wasn't a crumb left behind. It was fabulous. Go raibh maith agaibh!

17/05/2025: We came for dinner and was at first a little hesitant at first glance of the menu (especially with my shellfish allergy) but boy were we pleasantly surprised! They accommodated us with a smile and we had a starter of olive tamponade, breads, and dips they put together, then my partner had the black sole special and I the monkfish (they swapped the shellfish sauce for a tomato based one). It was exceptional! Best monkfish I've ever had, the flavour and presentation was just amazing. We were smiling and sharing bites the whole time. Dessert we had the coconut cheesecake and honey and cardamom Pana cotta and it was the perfect end. Would highly recommend for a date night.

17/05/2025: A great and very inspiring restaurant in Skerries (beautiful town north of Dublin) . First time I saw it, while walking by, it inspired me to make a drawing (see it attached). The second time, while having a pizza and a pasta dish with my wife, it confirmed my first inspiring moment (see the second drawing). The inspiring place was well supported with a very high quality simple food (real Italian style). When I meet his owner (John) everything was clear: Simplicity, sensitivity and love for things well done.

07/05/2025: Comimos aquí en nuestra primera noche en Dublín por recomendación de varios amigos. Este es un excelente restaurante: casual, amable y con altos estándares. Teníamos la ballena (algo que nunca había visto en los Estados Unidos), croquetas de eglefino ahumado, y fish & chips con solla y eglefino. Y las gildas como bocadillos. Todo era excelente y nos gustaría poder volver, pero conseguir espacio en el mostrador aquí requiere algo de planificación.

30/03/2025: Pequeño lugar divertido fuera de los caminos trillados. Fácil de caminar, no lejos de Liffey. Asegúrese de hacer una reserva. Excelente comida y vino. Mucho vino para elegir. No tengas miedo de pedirle al chef que elija por ti. Chef y propietario es genial! Obviamente, come pescado con papas fritas, pero no te saltes los aperitivos. Un montón de cosas buenas para elegir.

10/05/2025: The restaurant here is very dull unless you get a window table , lots outdoor tables lovely when you have the weather, the soup was just bout warm, the beef Burger was OK, fish and chips very plain peas very dry , chicken wings were not spicy and whatever sauce they had on them it was dried into them , staff very friendly and restaurant very clean but oddly shaped if you are down the back you do not have a view of anything and tables close together

06/05/2025: Would highly recommend a stay in this hotel, it punches well above its 3 stars. A stand out for us was evening dinner in the restaurant. We rarely eat in the hotel restaurant where we are staying but decided to do so here. We had a beautiful window table overlooking the harbour, the food was top class - particular mention for the Moules and the Prawn Sliders Starters, both of which will defo bring us back. Both of our mains were seriously good too, loved the fish and chips. Super service from the two staff members on duty, we got Cornelius’s name but omitted to get the other man’s name, both of whom made our whole experience fantastic. Breakfast and the service provided then too were also top class. Well done to all.
