The best restaurantsof seafood

30/06/2026: We spent a long weekend in Murray's the staff could not do enough for us. The rooms are so spacious and recently refurbished. The food and music was great , I cannot wait to return next year.

10/06/2026: What a pleasant surprise this hotel was. Outstanding food (and I mean outstanding) beautifully stylish and comfortable bedroom (we had a sea view room). The helpfulness and friendliness , not to mention the competence, of all the staff was the best we have encountered in the last twelve months in three continents! Well done to all at the Doonmore hotel, to owners Andrew and Donna, what truly lovely genuine hosts you were. Wishing you all many more years of success.

08/08/2026: We had a lovely evening at Mary Ann’s. Highly recommend this place. Service was friendly and prompt. The pints and meals were perfect! We had the pints in the garden and then moved inside for dinner. We enjoyed excellent scallops and hake dishes. We made a reservation.

07/08/2026: We by chance came upon Mary Ann's today in Castletownshend and oh my goodness the food is out of this world! We're Irish, from Dublin and we brought our friends to West Cork for the first time, and we all agreed it's the best food we've had so far! For me, the mussels were the best I've ever had. My husband had the open crab sandwich which was insanely good and everyone else had the chowder which were devoured by all the kids!! The pub is one of those gorgeous oldy worldy pubs with so much character. The staff were so attentive and friendly. It was €65 per family including alcohol which was incredible value. You need to go out of your way to eat here! You will be very happy you did.

14/07/2026: Stopped here for lunch. Highly recommended - especially the fish cakes which seem to be the specialty. Also dog friendly

26/06/2026: Stayed here with a group of family and friends while golfing at Carne. The rooms were fabulous and the staff where super friendly and efficient. The seafood in the resutarant was delcious. Fantastic fish cakes. The staff were also vert helpful in returning a forgotten item to ,e Would highly recommend staying at the Talbot

17/07/2026: We came hear on wednesday to the bar/restaurant and choose to sit outside the place was lively as probably for the weather the staff were very nice checked in a good amount of times and were very helpful when choosing food and drinks I had the calamari to start and it was a very good portion if I do say so and then I had the mussels wich I usually never go for the mussels as alot of places have let me down but theese were fresh and the amount of them was amazing me and my husband had a good few each I couldn't recommend this place enough I would 100% come again

05/06/2026: While travelling the Wild Atlantic way we stopped here to have one night of stay before our excursion to Skellig Michael. The hotel is situated in one of the most beautiful spots on the ring of Kerry. Direct access to the beach where we were able to make this picture at sunset. The food they serve is amazing. The best oysters I had to date! And wonderful staff. A destination on its own.

29/07/2026: Staff were pleasant but not hugely observant. To begin, we were given a table, but had to clean it ourselves. Our shared starter of chicken wings were clearly reheats as they were cold in the centre, and when told we got an “oh sorry about that”. Three drinks, one cold starter and two dinners came in at €80

17/07/2026: The fish and chips were very good, but the staff were unpleasant, which is rare in Ireland! They really need to improve!

04/05/2026: Best fish and chips I ever had 🤩. I live in uk but this is crazy. Batter was very thin but crispy - exactly how I love it and the tartare sauce homemade delicious yummy. Will definitely come back here to have more

17/05/2026: Had a recent family dinner here and it was 10/10. Attention to detail, beautiful menu options - for a very good price. Whipped goats cheese on sourdough was delicious. Service was brilliant and the staff were lovely. Can’t wait to return!

15/02/2026: This was our 2nd time eating here and i can honestly say this place is fabulous! Food is so fresh and tasty, a real hidden gem in the Downings. Scampi & Fish Tacos are unreal. If you dont eat here you are missing out. Just fab!! Cant wait to return

07/06/2026: Fabulous hotel. Perfect location and we had a beautiful room overlooking the marina. Staff were amazing and we were well looked after. Breakfast was perfect 👌 Highly recommend 👌 We would definitely stay here again.

09/08/2026: ​I can't speak highly enough of The Creel! We visited the Creel from clare after it was recommended by a friend. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was fresh, tasty, and top quality. The chefs were also extremely accommodating when we ordered off-menu for 2 of my friends. A really lovely place all around.

03/08/2026: We were in today, and the food was terrible. I had the avocado toast which was nice. My partner has the steak sandwich. However, the steak sandwich that was given to us was abysmal. Pieces of steak on a horrible processed roll and loaded with cheese. When you have access to such nice sourdough and other fresh ingredients it is highly disappointing and surprising to be honest. We couldn’t even complain as no one bothered to come near our table to clear it or even ask if everything was okay. Even at the till paying they didn’t even ask if everything was okay and we left half of the steak behind us. We won’t be back.

26/07/2026: Thai House is a wonderful spot. The food is as authentic as it gets, the service is impeccable and the ambience is thoughtful. Do yourself a favour and take advantage of the knowledgeable gentleman at the front of the house with the wine pairings. Tony carries a great selection of wines in the menu and for sale downstairs, some of which are not available in the local market - Real finds! All around, a wonderful experience.

17/08/2026: Vegan Menu! I was expecting vegan options, but not a whole menu, so it was a nice surprise... I had a hard time choosing 😂 In the end, I ordered an appetizer and some noodles, which I took advice from the girl taking the order. The food was truly excellent and the portions were generous, so keep that in mind when ordering 😉 Probably the best Chinese food I've eaten so far, highly recommended!

10/08/2026: We ordered three noodles, the taste were good despite not to the authentic spiciness. But they managed to get my order wrong for 2 times! First they noted down the wrong noodle, the 2nd time they got the noodle right but changed it from dry to soup. They need change their hand written ordering to digital to avoid miscommunication.
