22/07/2025: Every dish is bursting with flavour, perfectly seasoned and exceptionally cooked. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The hostess and waiters are all very welcoming and so friendly.

01/07/2025: Absolutely superb. Every review reiterates our view. Steak sublime, wine menu stellar for a change! What a choice, french reds curated well... Staff and ambience all spot on. A delightful experience all together!

11/08/2025: Just back from a magic weekend on Inisbofin. It was so lovely to stay in a family run hotel and Andrew and team could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Food was delicious. We will be back!

07/09/2025: Group of 4 stayed here for 1 night whilst travelling the south of Ireland. While the accommodation itself was lovely, location perfect and the food in restaurant was quite good there were a few incidents that left a bad taste. Upon check in, the member of staff was rude towards us, looking us up and down, we had paid in advance for our stay and also emailed over a list of the names of everybody staying in the accommodation due to their request about 2 weeks prior to checking in. The staff member in question proceeded to ask me (I had booked the accommodation) to write down everybodies names in front of her, and give my card details again (in case of any damages). Her manner was rude, curt & dismissive. Not how I have ever been treated upon check in. We were shown to our room and advised on a few basics. We had just been sea swimming so all 4 of us needed showers, after 1 person had a shower all the hot water had gone. Cold showers were had for the other 3 guests. The next morning we showered before check out, and there was no hot water at all. We spoke to a member of staff at reception, and a maintenance man came to the room to advise that the element had gone in the immersion. We went back to reception and they offered us to use the showers in the leisure centre, and that we could extend our check out to a certain extent. The staff members had changed the following morning and were more pleasant & apologetic than the lady who had checked us in the day before. We appreciated the gesture of letting use the leisure centre, and the apology, but the tone we were greeted with needs improvement. Wouldn't turn me off booking again as we have family in Schull, but they need to improve service.

31/08/2025: Live music, great drinks. And delicious food from next door at Fisk. Atmosphere was really lovely. Staff were extra friendly too. Had the cod tacos and udon noodles would recommend!

13/09/2025: A typical Irish evening. Live music every night. Tightly packed tables, a warm atmosphere, delicious food, professional and friendly service—in short, everything is there for a great time. Reservations are essential if you want a table. Special mention goes to the volume of the music, which is well-balanced and allows for conversation.

11/09/2025: We dined here twice during our stay in Clifden. Good food, but above all, great atmosphere and very friendly welcome. It's best to book in advance if you want to eat there on music nights.

16/07/2025: Absolutely loved our time at Sweeneys! Food was great, staff were really friendly and helpful, and the vibe was just what we wanted. All around a great place to go.

16/07/2025: In todays changing world it is so nice to find a constant. This family run pub / shop / restaurant is my constant. Been coming here over 50 years. Locals and tourists alike flock to this precious jewel. Nestled in Claddaghduff with stunning view of Omey strand, it is the heartbeat of Claddaghduff. Food is as it should be, no frills, fresh local produce and great value & amazing taste and flavours. Service is 5 star, with " are ya alight , do u need anything else" said with a geniune smile that warms my heart. I have seen 3 generations of the Sweeney family here and each one making it their own and adding their own sparkle to the establishment. Yet keeping its decor and ambience the same. Open crab sandwich on delicious homemade brown bread will be hard to beat anywhere in the country. So if you are looking to recharge and unwind this is the ideal spot.

14/07/2025: Nasty...to say the least! Chips old, fish non existent...and to call our meal Fish and Chips is an absolute joke! Fish was a block of processed fish....an absolute disaster! Disgusting!!!!!

23/05/2025: This take out restaurant was fantastic!! Food made with love, by amazing women, that was DELICIOUS!!! We stumbled on Luigi's looking for a lunch out of the train station and what a find. I decided to get the chicken nugget box. It came with lots of yummy fries (chips), a delicious onion ring, and yummy, satisfying nuggets. The food was fresh, quick, and yummy. The women working there were amazing! Fun! and took their work seriously providing a great product, at a very reasonable price. Such a great find!

20/07/2025: Here Friday evening. Quite at the time. Had a lovely meal with mussels to start and the specials for main. Sea bass was extremely nice oven baked to order.

05/03/2025: Super great, fresh oysters! Very nice employees! They even recommended an oyster farm that we could visit. Also very fair prices for the oysters!

15/08/2025: Popped into The Quay as wanted to get the feel of a traditional Irish pub. The wooden beams and space was nice. The staff smiling and polite always asking if everything was ok. Tried a guiness from the motherland and omg thousand times better than the stuff I'm served in London. Ordered a sea food chowder. My taste buds where dancing, the chowder was heart warming and the fish was amazing. Thank you Quay Bar and thankyou team for being best in class your hospitality was noted.

15/08/2025: Had a lovely lunch here, the quick fix special and my partner had the sea food chowder. Both were exceptional. The veg soup was to die for Will definitely be back

12/09/2025: Just spent three nights at the Talbot hotel and would highly recommend. The owner and his team are doing a great job here and made us feel very welcome.

22/08/2025: Wings isn't as good as they use to be there not worth the visit uo was knowing for it's wings sauce isn't the same on them very disappointed other food is nice and staff very friendly 😄

13/08/2025: The senior white man in the front house insulted my boyfriend (who is Asian???) and me after we left the restaurant just because we changed our mind and eat later and he said something about our appearance and we couldn’t stay because of it. We’re wearing comfy jacket sporty gym clothes, I don’t understand why he acted like that

11/09/2025: The location was perfect, and the breakfast was excellent and served at your table. The rooms were a bit dated and lacked air conditioning. Unfortunately, the price wasn't in line with the room rate.

28/07/2025: This is my 4th or 5th time to this restaurant and our family really enjoyed it. There are plenty of delicious selections for all. The restaurant was very accommodating to our family's vegan/gluten diet which was greatly appreciated. The location is very convenient to golfers who are playing the area's courses and, as a result, it can get a bit noisy at times.

17/05/2025: A great and very inspiring restaurant in Skerries (beautiful town north of Dublin) . First time I saw it, while walking by, it inspired me to make a drawing (see it attached). The second time, while having a pizza and a pasta dish with my wife, it confirmed my first inspiring moment (see the second drawing). The inspiring place was well supported with a very high quality simple food (real Italian style). When I meet his owner (John) everything was clear: Simplicity, sensitivity and love for things well done.
