13/07/2026: Drive through and sit down available at this McDonald's very convenient location and good service. Would advise to visit and have some bites from it. đ
21/06/2026: On signs says it closes at 1am. On the god forsaken night of Saturday into sunday (12:05) the person i assume to be manager with the ponytail and dark eyebrows decided they were already closing, refusing to let people pay at the till and telling people they canât eat inside and to leave immediately after getting food and staff were behind the counter/ kitchen giving out loudly when someone came in. If times have changed it must be changed on the sign or atleast be polite about it as on the sign it says 1am. Wasnât very happy with the supposed manager at all.

07/03/2026: Terrible rude service, items missing from order didn't care or offer to send them. I was still charged though-so basically robbed. When I rang the restaurant the man on the phone couldn't care less and blamed the app aven though I saw on my screen that I had ordered garlic bread. He said I should get in touch with the company as the app is nothing to do with them. No wonder they have high staff turn over, nobody cares.

07/08/2026: We only used the bar to watch world cup games but as always wonderful service and beer selection. On and off been using Lawlors gor 30 years. That aline tells you something.
10/07/2026: Really liked this hotel. Food (breakfast and dinner) was very tasty with fast service. It has a nice bar. Bathroom was modern. Great tv in room.Big private hotel car park at the back. It's an old building so my one concern was there is no air con in the bedrooms and Ireland is in middle of heatwave so bedrooms were very hot at night. But in fairness this heat is extreme for Ireland!

16/07/2026: Complete kip with wonderful patrons overcharged me by almost 100% and when confronted, the staff member who tried to con me doubled down and told me 6 different prices for 1 drink. Even after going to the manager, he had no concept of numbers and tried multiple times to lie to me about what I had been charged. Disgusting behaviour from what should be a lovely bar. Never go here. Don't give them a single cent.
16/07/2026: These lads are scammers and will refuse to admit to their own wrongdoings. I was charged an absurd amount for a drink (vodka redbull) and when I went to the staff a week after the fact to fix the situation, they kept on trying to scam me. I went then to the manager and he refused to give me accurate figures to the drink I was sold as a scam. Avoid this bar like the plague as they will only try to take advantage of you. Don't even consider going to this bar as they are nothing but scammers. They gave me 6 different prices for the same drink and deserve absolutely no business.

31/08/2026: Lovely, friendly, polite staff, excellent pints. Crowd can skew young on a Saturday (like everywhere else in town), but it's a solid pub and the staff are extremely diligent in their ID checking requirements.
Great pint to be had as well at âŹ6 and no food eaters taking up room if you're only for pints.

10/08/2025: Had a pint and a generous glass of wine on heated area in front of the bar. Lovely location lovely view of the harbor and a lovely price.
09/07/2025: We a family of 4 walked upon The Anchor while visiting Dungarvan. As it looked busy we decided to have lunch. Glad we did. We had two fresh cod and chips and two burgers and chips. The fish was fresh and tasty. The burgers were Devine and portions large. Highly recommend The Anchor for food if you in Dungarvan. Lovely clean pub in a beautiful setting overlooking the harbour.

21/12/2024: Really disappointing experience. Table in the corner was breezy. Group beside us were loud and just drinking, vaping in the snug and shouting about where they would buy a bag that night. Male staff were very friendly. One female server gave a glass of Prosecco to the table overflowing and spilling down the side. Then slammed two of the main courses onto the table. Never asked did we need sauce salt vinegar for chips and fish.
Food itself was nice but desserts were way overpriced âŹ9.50 for a tiny cheesecake, not worth it. Service doesnât match the food and price doesnât match service. Wonât be back
