21/02/2025: As a family we spent €98 garlic cheese chip and bacon portions were small, steak sandwich was cheap strips of beef and cold, cheese burgers you couldnt find the cheese, chicken spice bag left alot to be disired size was good but old chips, we also got a curry chips again small portion and old chips, not sure how this place is in business

This gem since the day it opened in dungarvan has always flung out the freshest and most well presented dishes!
Everything is cooked to order and arrives hot, but not so hot you can not eat it.
Their coffee and hot chocolates are second to none.
While at first glance you might be surprised at the prices , the food that you will get will make you see why.
It’s simply high quality food at reasonable prices.
19/02/2025: Food was okay. Staff were friendly and food did arrive quickly. However I'd never return. My tea mug was dirty. My daughter's coffee saucer was dirty. We asked for water and 4 plastic glasses came out and we could not use them they were dripping wet and dirty. I had to use my napkin to clean one so my daughter could drink some water. The wall beside us had something splattered on it. Disappointing

01/11/2024: Would highly recommend this pub to anyone if you're in the town. It's a family run pub. The atmosphere and the craic in this place is amazing. Colin and daughter Kim made us feel welcomed, and their staff were brilliant. The 3 days we were there was out of this world and can't thank them enough. I just wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

27/01/2025: Location, hot chocolate, food and service great, however: 1. One way to pee off regulars is to not be open at a day/time one would expect. I recently intended to meet someone there and she rang me to say it’s closed.
2. Scones served in rounded plates pasta/salad bowl type dishes, makes it very awkward for cutting/buttering etc, flat plate better.
3. Metal chairs not very comfortable.

05/03/2025: I have visited this place recently together with my family. It was really good service and perfect environment there. All meals were very delicious and with affordable prices.
03/03/2025: My wife and I stayed overnight in the Tannery Townhouse and had dinner in the Restaurant. It was our second time at the restaurant but our first staying overnight in the townhouse. The staff were so welcoming, our room had recently been refurbished and was so comfortable, warm and beautifully decorated. Dinner was exceptional. My wife loves seafood and chose the seafood mixed grill as her main and she said it was the best seafood dish she has ever tasted. We will be back as soon as we can and hopefully stay for a few more days next time.

23/02/2025: We just got in after 3pm when the kitchen closes, but the chef kept it open and we were able to have a lovely fish pie and veg curry and continue on our journey. Thanks to the manager for asking the chef to keep the kitchen open 5*
21/12/2024: Had a lovely meal here yesterday with friends. We all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Martin and staff were more than helpful and professional. We will definitely be back.

26/12/2024: Was served grand. We wanted to watch the world darts championships. But apparently it was "too busy" to turn on the TV as it apparently affects how many people are in the building. Don't come here if you want to watch sports.
29/10/2024: On a Monday or Tuesday night this cosy pub is the place to be if you are looking for music. All sorts are played from Traditional music and song 🎵 to ballads country and pop. Even U2s' Bono was here recently.

04/12/2024: I visited o Brien Sandwich Bar today in Dungarven with my mam for a bite of lunch while were there shopping and all I can is from start to finish my experience was so enjoyable. The two staff who I dealt with .firstly the fabulous young lady making the Sandwiches was understanding and so patient and so kind .and then the guy on the till. And most importantly the food was.good delicious.
