21/12/2024: Really disappointing experience. Table in the corner was breezy. Group beside us were loud and just drinking, vaping in the snug and shouting about where they would buy a bag that night. Male staff were very friendly. One female server gave a glass of Prosecco to the table overflowing and spilling down the side. Then slammed two of the main courses onto the table. Never asked did we need sauce salt vinegar for chips and fish.
Food itself was nice but desserts were way overpriced €9.50 for a tiny cheesecake, not worth it. Service doesn’t match the food and price doesn’t match service. Won’t be back

26/10/2025: For years it was best fish and chips. I always think about this as reward after trip. Today it was so under average… fish was super greasy and burger was one of the worst I ever eaten… would prefer McDonald cheese burger… Not sure if staff changed, bad day or some cost cutting but definitely not worth visit. Will give it one more try in few months to check if it’s back to glory but doubt it…
22/10/2025: Always amazing, best scampi and chips and PEAS and tartar sauce in Ireland .

The Old Bank

02/01/2026: I took my in laws for a post Christmas lunch at the Old Bank in Dungarvan. The food was gorgeous (the chowder was fantastic), though the smoked salmon open faced sandwich could have used more pickles.
What really made a difference for us was the attention of the wait staff and the quality of the service. My mother in law is vegan and had a lot of questions and they were so patient and accommodating of her. It really meant a lot to her. Keep it up lads!

04/01/2026: I ordered mussels for starters, whist they were good, I was well gone through them when the dish arrived for shells another dish with the water n lemon juice but nothing to dry your hands. Desert was nothing to boast about. .The cost was overpriced and I will not return.

14/08/2025: Me and my daughter just came back from there today
We were there for 3 days we were very happy could not ask for any better Al the staff behind the bar where lovely and friendly and the young lady tidying out room very nice and friendly we even got two bottles of water every day in our room very helpful so we'll done to all.
So we will see you again hopefully soon

04/07/2025: Here for Day 2 of a wedding, the room upstairs was very small for a function, big shout out to the lady that came in and sang and did the jazz music on the Friday night not sure the name, she got the crowd going

05/11/2025: Excellent place for a pint. Friendly, comfortable, atmospheric, clean and a lovely collection of local historical and cultural photos and artifacts.
18/10/2025: 12 of us went in on a Saturday evening and had a sing song. We were there maybe 3 hours and after taking our money, approx 700/800euros, and custom we were asked to keep the singing down as it was upsetting the locals in the bar......there were 3 of them. Would certainly not recommend this place with the way we were treated.

05/09/2025: Bought a cod and chips with garlic sauce today and have to say on a scale of 1 to 10 it was very nice . Best way to eat the cod is to set your phone up real close to your head and put it on reverse so you can see every morsel go into your mouth , then bang it up on Instagram. Ill definitely visit it again. Over and over and over........
