The best restaurants in Dungarvan

30/07/2026: Hidden away this sandwich bar was exactly what we needed. Staff were incredibly friendly, kids had sausage rolls (warm) and I had the chicken Caesar bagel, all came with salad, crisps and choice of sauce. All food tasted and felt fresh. Would recommend for a quick bite to eat! Thanks ladies :)

02/09/2025: Had out family holiday here this summer. Staff were so friendly, lovely hotel and the food was excellent. Dined out in 3 other places too and the food was spectacular. Dungarvan is a lovely town and plenty to keep kids entertained from playground, to beaches, pools and Greenway.

29/07/2025: Far too expensive for what you get. Rooms are more like 3* standard, Wi-Fi is very poor, breakfast is "just okay," and the parking lot is usually overcrowded. The sauna is very small, at no more than 3 square meters.

28/03/2026: For years it was best fish and chips. I always think about this as reward after trip. Today it was so under average… fish was super greasy and burger was one of the worst I ever eaten… would prefer McDonald cheese burger… Not sure if staff changed, bad day or some cost cutting but definitely not worth visit. Will give it one more try in few months to check if it’s back to glory but doubt it…

22/06/2026: Love this place, have visited a number of times and it is one of Dungarvan's best spots. Fantastic food, even the simplest things on the menu are to die for and fantastic service. Would highly recommend.

10/05/2026: We wanted to get to the Tannery before it closed at the end of this year. It didn't disappoint. Máire gave us a loveky welcome. The room was very comfortable. Dinner was really tasty. Great local ingredients, thoughtfully presented. We had an especially lovely glass of champagne as we were celebrating. The breakfast the next morning was especially delicious. Just sorry that we were too full to have the lemon drizzle cake we were tempted with for breakfast dessert. Definitely worth a trip. Look forward to seeing what they do next.

10/05/2026: Top quality service from the minute we arrived. We were walked to our comfortable room, treated to an excellent quality dinner with a good quality wine list and had a comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast was much higher quality than we were expecting the next day. Maura is a star and made it such a pleasure to stay. Thanks for a lovely evening!

22/07/2026: Fab find. 5 star friendly service from Ava. Made us cocktails she hadn't heard of, but we explained. Spotless clean throughout. Good vibes. Nice decor. Plenty of space. Pool table a bonus.

30/06/2026: Nice enough.. standard Indian fare but quite expensive

21/06/2026: We had a fabulous meal here on Saturday night . We had Onion Bhajis and Samosas to start , large portions and amazing flavours. For mains we had Chicken Vindaloo , Pilau rice , Garlic Naan , Chicken Tandoori Murgh with Korma sauce on the side . The Tandoori Chicken was the most tender flavourful dish I have ever tasted ! All the dishes we had were the best indian food we have ever tasted . The staff are so attentive and pleasant . Well worth a visit if you go to Dungarven .

11/07/2026: This is the best chipper in Dungarvan by a mile. The staff are so friendly and courteous. I had a Taco chip yesterday with mince meat and it was the best Taco chip I ever had. Definitely go back there again. The food was cooked to a high quality and tasted beautiful. I'm looking forward to stopping by there again for this tasty treat

08/07/2026: Awful prices and portion sizes I spent 15 euro for a single chicken burger and large taco fries that aren’t even big not to mention to mention that the sauce they used was just bolognaise which is insulting And a can of Coke I would strongly recommend not to come here and save your money

16/07/2026: Complete kip with wonderful patrons overcharged me by almost 100% and when confronted, the staff member who tried to con me doubled down and told me 6 different prices for 1 drink. Even after going to the manager, he had no concept of numbers and tried multiple times to lie to me about what I had been charged. Disgusting behaviour from what should be a lovely bar. Never go here. Don't give them a single cent.

16/07/2026: These lads are scammers and will refuse to admit to their own wrongdoings. I was charged an absurd amount for a drink (vodka redbull) and when I went to the staff a week after the fact to fix the situation, they kept on trying to scam me. I went then to the manager and he refused to give me accurate figures to the drink I was sold as a scam. Avoid this bar like the plague as they will only try to take advantage of you. Don't even consider going to this bar as they are nothing but scammers. They gave me 6 different prices for the same drink and deserve absolutely no business.
