Food wise it may be hit and miss but for me and my friends. The food was terrible. Two out of the five were happy and the three that had the chicken burger (called Doddle Burger) were disgusted. The chicken was tough (possibly cooked earlier and microwaved). When mentioned to the waitress the food was terrible she giggled and didn’t take it serious which I believe says it all about dining in Merries. Very disappointed

24/09/2024: We love Minnie's, excellent Traditional Irish music on Sundays, never disappoints, always brilliant musicians several of whom we've been seeing play for many many years now! Also a bowl of snacks usually appears, sausages, chicken strips and potato wedges! Always a lovely surprise when it does!
20/09/2024: Great local, with a superb barman and had a winner with the horses as well. Highly recommend

05/11/2024: Spent a couple of evenings in this wonderful pub recent. The atmosphere and service by John and his staff were 5*. The Guinness was top class too!
On my 1st evening, I lost a new set of false teeth between the pub & my friend's house. We mentioned it to John and sure enough the next morning he found them at the front door. He bumped into my friends sister, who relayed the good news to us. John went out of his way and saved me a packet in the process.
I couldn't recommend Quealys Bar more highly and I'll be back soon. The teeth are still in tact.

19/11/2024: Fabulous 2 days - lovely comfortable lodging- superb fresh breakfast. The dinner was wonderful and delicious- very fresh ingredients all round and lovely presentation, highly recommend the oysters, wild game terrine and the mixed seafood grill. The staff are so friendly and the service is excellent. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and full of wonderful art to enjoy. Thank you Tannery- we will be back!
17/11/2024: Top class restaurant. Great staff, the baked eggs on the breakfast menu were out of this world.

01/11/2024: Would highly recommend this pub to anyone if you're in the town. It's a family run pub. The atmosphere and the craic in this place is amazing. Colin and daughter Kim made us feel welcomed, and their staff were brilliant. The 3 days we were there was out of this world and can't thank them enough. I just wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

29/10/2024: On a Monday or Tuesday night this cosy pub is the place to be if you are looking for music. All sorts are played from Traditional music and song 🎵 to ballads country and pop. Even U2s' Bono was here recently.
