The best restaurants in Westmeath

01/04/2024: I hate leaving a bad review but unless the issues are pointed out I don't think things are going to change.. our starters were all cold. Our mains were hot but absolutely out of a microwave. You could taste it. The meat all ok but potatoes were reheated and I thought pee sliced frozen vegetables were a thing of the past. I have NEVER returned food but my brownie was frozen instead of warm.. the staff were all teenagers. Absolutely love to see young people working but we all needed supervision when we started. The potential is huge here but we definitely won't be back. No apology for poor dessert from a manager. The industry is fierce at the moment and only the best will survive. It is difficult times but this was brutal

11/03/2024: I visited this hotel for dinner with a couple of my friends on Sunday March 10th. Overall my experience was quite poor. The food was unbelievable but as we finished our mains we waited almost half an hour for our plates to be cleared to not be offered dessert. Trying to get the waitresses attention for ages to ask for menus or even drinks was difficult. I noticed as I tried to find someone to take our dessert order that the male manager on duty with red hair was standing chatting and laughing with 3 of the waitresses by the tills as we were waiting almost 25 minutes to order our dessert. By the time a waitress came to our table I didn’t even want the dessert anymore so we left. As we were leaving and trying to pay the waitresses at the tills did not know how to take payments, It took 3 of them before we could leave. Untrained staff and unprofessional management, a poor experience as result of this
