Edit: nah nah nah, these chicken nuggets are a crime. I get that the dish is unseasoned (for picky ones), but the nuggets are disgusting. Not worth a fiver. Wish they served the store bought nuggets.
15/10/2023: I ordered last night takeaway. Usually we were happy with the food. But last night it was really bad. I was never eating worst pork in my entire life. Very disappointed.

27/08/2023: Final pub before I headed out to the game. Dropped in here for a quick pint. Got a pint of Smithwicks, and sat myself down at the side of the entrance which was well comfy and secluded to the rest of the bar. Near the bar there was a massive screen with the horse racing on, a few punters in the darkly lit bar, relaxed atmosphere and pint was fine. No problems.
Pub is run by the Walsh family for six generations and is a cosy little place.

12/02/2024: Hands down the best Pad Thai in Athlone! It’s so hard to find a place that still does it with thin noodles. Portion is absolutely massive, loads of vegs and meat. My new favourite takeaway. Delivery man was so nice as well, I wish I had some cash to tip him. Would highly recommend to everyone. A+++

01/10/2023: Customer service doesn't appear to be high on their agenda at all. All young inexperienced people working there and no sign of any management on the ground. After paying for food order and waiting at least 20 minutes, I eventually discovered that they actually forgot to put in the food order!!! And no apology forthcoming either..they actually didn't seem to care how put out I was!! Not good enough when you've hungry kids!!! This is not the first time I've had a similar experience here regarding the staff!
04/09/2023: Lovely staff working here but the portions are very small and if ring to place an order it can be misunderstood and wrong order given I think they maybe trying to train a lad on the phone who’s first language isn’t English. Not the lads fault but very annoying to be given chips with half of what you asked for.
