05/05/2026: We recently hosted a party at The Bailey Bar on Saturday night, and it was outstanding from start to finish. The food was excellent, the service was seamless, and the staff were truly unbelievable throughout the evening.
From the moment we arrived, everyone felt comfortable and well looked after. The team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, and many of our guests commented on how friendly and attentive they were.
It was an amazing experience overall, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Bailey for any special occasion. I’ll definitely be booking future parties there.

06/02/2026: Very hit and miss.... food is nice but lazy week day staff let's it down , that big guy in the black jacket is a waste of space and very unprofessional.. took my order, didn't leave the order slip out and proceeded to wander round talking crap to other staff who apparently had nothing to do either, I was on a lunch break so the delay in getting 1 wrap really annoyed me . He is either related to the owner or there for free as I don't know how he gets away with it .

A thoughtful touch we really appreciated was how they brought pens and paper for our little one to enjoy—it made the visit even more enjoyable for us. Highly recommend!
18/03/2026: Their sushi is so good, I could eat their sushi every day and never get tired of it. That goes for most of their food. Staff are friendly and I like the sometimes quiet atmosphere, wish it was closer to home tho.. If you're ever thinking of getting food here, don't think just go do it because this place is 10/10🎀

14/02/2026: We had an amazing dinner on Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was beautifully prepared and decorated for the occasion, creating a lovely and romantic atmosphere. The service was excellent — attentive and professional — and the food was absolutely delicious.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming place in Athlone town centre. We’ll definitely be back!

22/07/2025: Lovely spot in the middle of the town for a coffee pick me up and a slice of cake or bun. It’s v busy but had quite a lot of seating. My son loves the Cornish pasties which make for a lovely breakfast or lunch on the campsite. Coffee is good

27/11/2024: I stayed at the Radisson Blu for 11 nights for work and so visited the Restaurant every morning for breakfast. The ladies running the bistro did everything they could day in and day out to make sure it was always the best experience. The food is great and most importantly the staff really gave us the best start to the day!
Definitely pay them a visit! :)
