The best restaurants in Bray

06/06/2026: The staff were efficient with the drinks and food, the longest delay was trying to pay! If I could make one small change, it would be to oil the toilet doors. A few Euro on some WD40 would stop the squealing bag of cats each time you enter the toilets area.

07/05/2026: We've been in the Wild Goose a few times, we were in it this evening and i ordered the Roastbeef dinner ,i couldnt eat the roast beef it was grey ,tasted horrible, The servers were very apologising, was not their fault , Unfortunately their chef (very unpleasant) thought it was okay to serve someone such bad quality beef.

10/05/2026: Only food spot open past midnight in the area, staff were more than happy to serve 5 customers at 12:30, food was bang on, prices were objectively reasonable, couldn’t fault the quality it if I tried. Would definitely recommend as a late night bite.

02/05/2026: The business is family owned, and they are extremely kind and charming. I can't believe there are humans who go out of their way to be so kind to strangers. The food was delicious, seven euro for a kids meal and the portion was amazingly sized. The service was quick, they personally handed us menus, and the food made my eyes water. I have never had such a life altering dining experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and the menu was easy to understand. I will recommend this to everyone I ever meet for the rest of my life. I will write the phone number of this chipper on my tombstone. If mcdonalds is tenerafe, this business is elevenerife.

17/05/2026: Had late breakfast/brunch here today ordered breakfast sandwich described as white toast, irish butter, relish bacon sausage and fried egg for 8.50 we ordered 2 both with no relish. 1 tea for 4.50 and a coke zero for 4.50. When we went in only 1 member of staff seen in entire place, asked if serving food and if could sit anywhere said yes so we went and sat and took ages to bring menu OK only 1 staff on so we ordered and he brought drinks, then after a bit, I assume a kitchen worker brought food and left there was no staff to be seen we had no cutlery or napkins. Food smelt strong my mam said is there relish on it no none on either took a bite and it was soaking with garlic butter! No staff anywhere we took the middle slice of the 3 slices of toast off and the crusts and just ate the middle as that's only place that had meat or eggs and we said we don't have long were hungry we'll just make do even though it's 1.got garlic on a breakfast sandwich. 2.wasnt listed in menu. We don't really like garlic. 3 it was really strong. When we were finished there were 2 people at bar and we paid and said just get on with it and pay and leave its not worth the hassle. But a few minutes after driving away we both started feeling ill then very upset stomach nausea bloating reflux and garlic sulfer burps and indigestion a nd pain for 4.5 hours in the car! Even with gaviscone. Completely ruined entire day. Reply: It 100% was garlic I know the difference between garlic and chives, if you don't serve it on breakfast then a mistake was made in the kitchen. There 100% was no cutlery or napkins on our table or any tables in sight.

10/05/2026: Music was good good chat with owner but unfortunately bad Guinness and only 1 sausage and rasher on. 16.50 full Irish 😭 owner/ manager was sound but still one and one on a full is tragic i cried so much also a crazy amount of ai Oscar Wilde slop on the walls 🤓 the quotes with art where peculiarly funny so remember “be your eryone everyone is alread taken” with love ❤️

05/05/2026: I vaguely remember I went to the Star Leisure for the first time in 2000 with my school when I was 10 years old. I've been there about many times. I used to find it entertaining when I was a kid and teenager but now I find it absolutely rubbish. That's why I don't go there anymore. It used to have a fast-food restaurant and the food was nice. It's a shame that they don't have a restaurant anymore. I don't know why they removed the restaurant from the same place. I kinda missed its old look. It can be real waste of money indeed. I missed the old days of visiting the Star Leisure as well. On Sunday the 28th July 2024, it was my last time to visit the Star Leisure so I am not going there again ever. It's a shame that Dawson's Amusements is now defunct and it has been replaced by car park after its demolition. I used to go to Dawson's when I was a kid and I used to go on the dodgems, ghost train and the roundabout 🎠 as well. It closed down in 2006. Maybe they went into liquidation or there was a dwindling number of visitors. Anyway Dawson's wasn't great for myself either. If you're reading this, avoid the Star Leisure. Go to Bray Bowl or Leisureplex instead.
