The best restaurants in Bray

19/07/2025: I’m posting this review for one Reason, for a staff member who I didn’t catch the name off. An older gentleman who I asked to get a prize for my 10 year old Nephew. My Nephew has ADHd and Sensory issues. Without me saying anything this man, gave my nephew all the time in the world, allowed him to test out different prizes for there feel, touch. In minutes my Nephew was telling him his story. His Kindness was everything. My Nephew didn’t stop talking about it for rest of the day. He made our day trip to Bray. Thank you Sir.

30/09/2025: Changing review from 3 back to 5 stars again. Delighted to see Catalyst back in their larger premises again. Popped down yesterday as we'd run out of coffee beans and Catalyst was the latest place open in Bray. Was assisted by a lovely gentleman who brought me through their different roasts, and offered me a taste of the bean/roast that I'd chosen to ensure that it was what I expected. That's a lovely touch and generates so much goodwill with a potential/new/irregular customer. I'll definitely be back, and if the coffee lives up to my expectation, may switch from my regular roaster. Original 5*: Had brunch here and was pleasantly surprised how tasty everything was. Not the cheapest, but very well presented. We had a vegan in our group and she could choose everything on the menu. Highly recommend

03/09/2025: I ordered two platters for a party and was very satisfied. Very large portions. Fresh meat and vegetables, carefully placed. The chef was very kind and understanding, the order was ready earlier than opening on Sunday. Thank you very much!

22/08/2025: Personally, I had a disappointing experience that we will never repeat again. Small, crowded, dirty place, gives you the feeling of "suffocation". Mr. Peter who served, very annoying and we felt uncomfortable. Many bad, tasteless jokes, praise and many stories... when we go out to eat we want privacy, relaxation, peace and discreet and nice staff. But in return, the gentleman insists with all kinds of stories about himself, how he succeeded, what and how he is, everything about him, praise and stories over stories, not being able to enjoy our outing. He tried to influence our choice, to somehow impose on us what to take. And about the food, I don't know, no matter how much he praised everything, not even the brain could decide if it was good or not. It was ok, we ate from the plate but I took some fried meat platter which anyway had nothing bad to do with a fried neck but still normal, like everywhere, nothing wow but anyway, higher praise than the taste. I thought it was a dirty, untidy space and we will definitely not go again. The gentleman probably made his talent thinking that he was kind and attracting customers but it was inconvenient and tiring. He asked us to follow him on tik-tok and many others. Plus one more thing, we were thinking whether to have dessert or not and he insisted that he would bring us some "homemade" balls that would give us a kick, etc., and he brought us the papanași and on the bill it was cashed, as was normal but we were undecided whether to take it and he somehow insisted that he would make it for us and it was from him etc. A big No, only if you are bored at home and want to go out loaded with stories and praise about him. He also spoke loudly and raised his voice on the phone and complained about the employees and the food took a long time because only his wife was cooking, "Everyone is lazy and leaves."

13/08/2025: Nice and big hotel, big restaurant, bar with sport's on tv and good prices of drink's. Recommend this place.

12/08/2025: Good staff, breakfast buffet the best thing about this hotel. Be careful in the bathroom the bathtub is very slippery, i fell and i have a bruise.

12/09/2025: Stopped for quick hot chocolate with my mum and the woof woof , staff was very friendly and had alternative milks the cakes looked fabulous will try next time 🩷

16/08/2025: Great outside look, great place to chill, however coffee is rubish and cake was extremely dry, which is a shame. Wouldn't recommend for a stop.

03/10/2025: Very mixed experience. One meal (half chicken) seemed like it had been cooked hours if not days ago. Another tasted very bland. Some of the starters tasted good Food kinda bland, feel a little unwell after it. Won’t use again.

25/09/2025: I remember when this Chinese was the best around, this was one of the blandest meals I think I’ve ever eaten, lesson learned, never again will I ever enter this restaurant.

08/08/2025: Been going here now for about 30 years. Food is delicious, portions are huge, and the staff are spot on. Highly recommended.

10/07/2025: Ordered for collection, got the signature burger , 1/4lb with cheese and kids meal. The quality was very good and the flavours in signature burger went really well together. Everyone was happy with meal , chips were great too. Good value for money and good banter in the shop .also bought a bottle of the house vinegar , would defo recommend!

05/09/2025: Nice seaside bar on the waterfront. Friday evening was quiet but not too busy. Good spot.

10/08/2025: I went here August 12th, 2023. I have to say, this is the best bar ive ever been to. I will come back one day. The service was perfect, the drinks were delicious, and the overall vibe was unmatched.

09/09/2025: HORRIBOE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ordered pizza on uber eats, told the driver to meet me in lobby and he didn’t. He waited in the car outside, and I had my phone on airplane mode because I’m travelling. I waited 15 min and decided to call the pizza place and then received a call from a different lady and she starts yelling at me on how im wasting drivers time? They need a better system so they can see delivery instructions on app instead of calling customers shouting like that! 0/10 for the lady

24/08/2025: The hoggie here is 10/10 really fresh and delicious. Real chipper chips huge portion great value.
