Amazing food and lovely staff. Defo a special place to eat

It's rare I write reviews but I had to on this occasion given how amazing everything was there last night at the house of plates. Went to house of plates last night for my birthday for a 3 course meal and I cannot praise the food and service enough. 10/10 experience. The food and flavours were sensational just mouth watering. The service was amazing and professional and friendly and there were no time delays with any of the dishes. Also loved the little complimentary starters that were given before our own starters came such as the bread with the beautiful oil and balsamic vinegar. Also the presentation of each dish was beautiful and thoughtfully put together. Thanks for an amazing experience we will be back <3 Páraic and Laura

Great food - excellent service - pricey

Very pleasant atmosphere, from the first step into the restaurant. The serving staff is very attentive to details, thank you to them. Very pleasant service, attention to every detail. The chef's attention to snacks while waiting for the main courses is definitely 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food is very tasty, the biggest compliments to the chef 10/10⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were impressed by this restaurant. I highly recommend visiting and enjoying the high quality of food until the last bite.

Fantastic food. Best brunch I've had in Ireland and I've had a few. Just had the Turkish eggs and they have set the bar for quality and taste. Do yourself a favour and come here. Well worth a visit.

My recent visit here was utterly spoiled by the place being freezing cold. The waitress said that the radiator nearest our table "doesn't work". She placed an electric fan heater on a chair beside our table. We appreciated her efforts but a radiator which "doesn't work" is a bit of a tall tale!

House of Plates ranks as one of the top ten places I have eaten out at. The menu had a range that made it hard to select just one. Three fellas with good appetites were left very satisfied. Our mains were the Lamb, Beef and Sole dishes. I have to say, from my own perspective, the fish dish was amazing. There was a nice level of conversational noise, unhampered by the loud piped music so often in other places. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The two surprise dishes were fabulous. According to the one wine drinker the Merlot was excellent. Portion sizes were spot on: enough to leave you satisfied (with a desire for another tiny taste) but without leaving you uncomfortably full by the end of the meal. The menu has a fixed price for either two or three courses which makes it very easy to split the bill afterwards. The only (mildly) negative aspect was the "twice cooked chips" were very ordinary compared to the high quality of everything else. I have, and would, highly recommend.
