Food is great! Highly recommend the salted caramel chocolate tart.

Everything was perfect. We were looking for a restaurant capable of satisfying the tastes of my partner and myself (which are different) and we came across the menu at Chez Jacques. We liked it, we entered. We are seated at a table in the back room which makes the restaurant much larger than it seems! The atmosphere is cozy, the light very low. My partner chose the scallops, I chose the lamb. It arrived on beautiful plates, decorated with roasted vegetables, condiments, purees... It was very well cooked, the cooking was mastered. We also indulged in a little dessert, chocolate/caramel tart and Medjoul dates filled with coconut cream, it was delicious. It's certainly not the most affordable restaurant on this street but the experience is worth the detour.

Nice atmosphere and good staff throughout. The food was okay but a few misses and lack of imagination. The crab starter tasted of the over powering tomato sauce. The quail was okay and the steak was very good quality. Probably better for lunch than a special meal.

Had a great dinner of mostly small plates and then the lamb. Great mixes of flavors and just very well done all around - lovely servers, good wine list, excellent menu options expertly prepared. Enjoyed the meal enormously.

Airways love eating at Jacques. One of Corks oldest and finest. Definitely suggest a visit if in Cork. The Real capital...

Delicious fish and scallops main courses. Deceptively spacious casual restaurant which was busy with local families and tourists alike. Service was friendly and fun.

Was up in Cork for the day and I decided I'd give this place a try. I had crab as a starter and chicken schnitzel as a main. Didn't have dessert. The staff were friendly. The service was quick. The place is clean. Would go again
