Reel Dingle Fish in An daingean

I was a bit disappointed. I really wanted to love the fish and chips there as it was supposed to be the best in Ireland, but the batter wasn't exceptional and not crispy at all. They were also out of smoked haddock and other types of fish. It was still an excellent and fresh fish, hence the four stars.

Nice little fish shop, a classic fish shop. The fish was fantastic, but the chips could have been a bit crispier for our taste. The tartar sauce was delicious, and the young employee was very friendly.

Vallah was delicious (+ a lot of food)

You choose your fish, and then your fish and chips are prepared before your eyes, crispy and light. The portions are very generous. This is a place not to be missed.

This is a take-away--and do stop in for take-away. The staff there is friendly, informative, sweet and funny. There were many choices for the fish--haddock and hake, yes. And several more--I had the monk fish. Oh, so delicious. The chips are crispy on the outside, soft and luscious inside. I'm a vinegar and salt lover, so that was my choice. There are picnic tables and walls to sit on at the harbor. Some pubs will allow the food if you order a drink. I sat by the water--and watched the boats and enjoyed the beauty and devoured this delicious late lunch.

Everything was perfect. I've rarely eaten such good fish. Perfectly cooked. Huge quantity. The welcome was friendly, especially since he allowed our dogs into his shop. 😋

If you want fresh fish cooked at its best it is hard to beat Reel Deal. I was there on a Monday night and had the choice of Monkfish , Haddock , Whiting and Calamari. You might be kept waiting for a while but thats totally understandable. Long queue on that night is testament to the great food that they are serving up.
