21/01/2025: We had a group of 16 at a hen party last weekend and we visited Botown for some food and drinks to start off the day. David could not have been more helpful from the get go organising suitable set menus for our tastes and budgets etc and printing these specific menus for our group. This made the bridesmaids jobs super easy and enjoyable as we didn’t have to worry about anything.
We all had delicious burgers and ample amounts of bubbles in their lovely private upstairs space for a couple of hours where we played games and had a great laugh🥂 Everyone left fuelled for a day and night of partying in Galway!
Thank you David for such a lovely few hours of fun to kick start our bride’s party!
19/01/2025: BóTOWN was the best place in Galway to go for lunch! They were so accommodating for the Hen party we were on ! Gave us our own room and the food was beautiful. Amazing service highly recommend ✨✨✨

Scotty's Famous Burgers & Wings

14/12/2024: Living in Galway for more than 9 years I never had the opportunity to be in Scotty’s and you know what I loved.
I ordered the Bulko burger and it’s delicious and gigantic omg i eaten it all.
It comes with salad or chips, I ordered as well a superb strawberry milkshake.
Barely had a place for everything…
My wife had a bacon cheddar smasher and my little one had cheeseburger meal for kids with chips and juice.
Really quite place for families and couples or for a meal with friends.
The place is beautiful with really nice decoration like an American burger restaurant. Properly American music from 50’ service really good, attendees are great and very friendly.
Prices are reasonable compared to how big is the plate.
Easy parking outside.
Many tables inside and outside.
Congrats to Scotty & Jenny for the great work here.

19/12/2024: Incredible food. The chili was the best i’ve ever had. The burgers are really good too and the ships are perfect. I went here a few times at lunch and it was nearly empty and i can’t understand why. this one of one my favourite places in galway

02/02/2025: The egg was cold, the chicken was not seasoned well, vegetables were very low quality the food was tasteless. I wanted to throw up. Overall the restaurant felt very poor and cheap. The bathroom is non existent with the way it looks some piss on the floor. The 5-star reviews must be bots.
01/02/2025: This could have been good, but two factors absolutely ruined it.
1) the burger/sauce was the saltiest thing I have ever eaten. I don't know why or how, but it was so so salty the night I was there.
2) chips seem like bought in / bulk ordered. That's fine but they're not anything special.
I'm usually not picky regarding food quality but the salt ruined the experience, couldn't finish the burger. Feel bad saying it but it's the truth. If the chips were better, and the burger and dressing weren't salt-mania, I'm sure it could be very good.
Service was very good, waitress very nice, nice atmosphere, price not too bad. Potential !!

27/01/2025: I’ve walked past Beef & Lobster for months now and have always wanted to try it but unfortunately we found the food to be quite disappointing. It’s got a great location and is lovely inside but my food was very tasteless bordering on bad. I ordered the Salt and Pepper Squid for starters and although the aioli was great the actual squid had absolutely no flavour. I ordered the chicken burger for mains. I have never had a burger with so little flavour. It is a very generous piece of chicken in the burger but despite the burger having two types of sauces, it just tasted like nothing. Not even adding salt and pepper helped. My husband had the chicken wings for starter which he described as good but not great, however he really enjoyed his surf and turf burger. It seems like some of their dishes are quite good but others are very tasteless so it feels like quite a gamble and we unfortunately will not be back. On a plus side, the staff were friendly.
