01/04/2024: Scones and tea were great. Great selection of food/cakes as always.

22/03/2024: There is nothing you would like to see in such a little place. Overpriced. Not too friendly staff. Absolutely nothing which could make me come back here.

02/04/2024: Our family spent Easter Bank Holiday (Fri to Mon) at Talbot Hotel in Carlow. I've never met such helpful staff - they were very professional and always with a smile. Just to name a few managers Gary Pendergrass & David Muszynski. The security staff and all the other staff from receptionist to cleaners. The food was very good & big portions. We found the soft drinks expensive 200ml bottle of coke cola was €3.90. The Talbot was very much a Hotel for families with small children with the Dome just next door which was very popular. Dunnes stores,Mr Price etc was just across the road - very convenient!! Considering there was refurbishments going on the staff should be applauded because we were hardly aware of it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family & friends. We also got a very good deal for Easter with plenty of free parking Well done to all the staff you take great pride in your place of work.

29/03/2024: Stayed here overnight for a staff Christmas party. Had the most amazing room all to myself, so modern and clean! The bed was so comfortable I had one of the best nights sleep. A few of us stayed up until close at the hotel bar and the vibes were immaculate. Had one of the best nights here with my workmates I can't rate it highly enough! And the breakfast is great the next morning.

12/03/2024: Place is in the center of Carlow town. Tablets as menu. Nice interior. Lot of space. Toilets are clean. But at the same time flies, scratches on the tables. Food is great. Big portions. Selection of dishes isn't too bad. It was made pretty fast. Staff is friendly. Prices. It is cheap. For a dinner for two we paid 40€.

06/03/2024: Array of menu choice is impressive. Décor too! Background music was atmospheric. Staff are cordial, prompt yet sociable.

29/02/2024: Absolute overpriced for a sandwich, people who say it's the best sandwich they ever had probably live off weatherspoons food. P.S loved the stale tortilla chips

06/04/2024: The menu has quite a range, from kebab to burger to pizza. I usually get the kebab, which is absolutely delicious. The portions are also very big for their price. Staff has been very nice every time I've been in, I've even gotten free coke on the house the one time I've been the first customer in! Wait time is also quite short, usually just 15-20min. Overall an excellent place to either pop in for something to eat when in town or to bring home for dinner.

23/04/2024: Called in at lunch time and had the carvery lunch. Excellent food, well above normal standard. Friendly and comfortable atmosphere.

21/04/2024: The Terrace - Stopped off after a day out in Carlow and was blown away! Got the steak sandwich with a side portion of mash. The sandwich was cooked perfectly with an amazing flavour that’s not expected! The staff were helpful and fast with there service. 10/10 will definitely be back!

30/03/2024: Typical Wetherspoon Pub - food lovely n reasonably priced. Good varierty menu. Staff fairly friendly n toilets were spotless. Been in a few Wetherspoon Restaurants ova the years n this one fairly comes up to expectations. Only small negative is i thought decor was a wee bit grotty n fairly dark etc. Other than thatcwudcrecommebd n wud go back in future 👍

28/03/2024: We came in this place as a group of 10 people, we ordered the meals as they were named in the menu, but when the waiters arrived (we had to wait a long time for the food-40 min...), they named the meals differently, creating confusion and mixing them up (one of the meals was missing). The food wasn't great and the price was very high, the waiters are kind only with the ones they like and we were not treated well by them. Good location but it is useless if the staff isn't great

01/04/2024: I am from carlow and i eat here a lot well not like unhealthy amount but a good few times every once in a while food may be cold but most pf the time its either piping hot or warm still the best food in the world anyways so

19/03/2024: My macchicken sandwich was roasting. Smaller but roasting. Double cheese burger was roasting as well. Looked nothing like the pictures. Fries were good. Very dear no offers on.

02/05/2024: Good and busy takeaway service is quick and most times a place to sit. Still the same busy and quality food and now even more seating.

01/05/2024: Food was lovely and the staff were friendly, service was excellent but very disappointing there's no disabled toilets downstairs 😢

08/05/2024: Despite the place being busy , the waiting time for my big order was very good and the food was fresh.
