The best restaurants in Ennis

07/10/2026: I ordered the “two is company” deal and a combo box with goujons and chips. I chose chips as my side with the two is company deal and the chips didn’t come, the combo box had a handful of chips in it and 4 tiny Goujons, it’s €11.50 for this combo box. The courier was the rudest person I had ever come across and the pizza itself was freezing cold. I won’t be eating here again, ridiculous.

13/07/2026: Small,uncomfortable double bed,loud fan outside the window...going all night,room very basic .However....breakfast was excellent......would not stay here again

22/05/2026: DO NOT STAY HERE!!! - it wasn't worth €1 - the TV didn't work, the sink stopper was blocked so I had to clean my teeth in the toilet, the window was facing a wall and couldn't be opened, the door also didn't open, maintenance had to fix it & I had to be let out - we were travelling for work on a wednesday night and the disco went on below until 4am - it was unhygienic & unsafe. The rooms they advertise are from a different hotel - the rooms in the hotel are grubby & outdated

20/07/2026: I was very disappointed with my experience at the West County Hotel Ennis. The standard of housekeeping was well below what I would expect from a hotel of this size and reputation. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was not up to an acceptable standard, which had a significant impact on my stay. I have also heard concerns from people in the local community regarding possible employment compliance issues involving undocumented workers. While I cannot verify these claims myself, I believe they are serious enough that the relevant Irish authorities, including Revenue and the appropriate government agencies, should ensure that all employment practices are fully compliant with Irish law. A hotel of this reputation should maintain high standards not only in cleanliness and customer service but also in its employment practices. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and addresses them appropriately.

17/07/2026: Fantastic hotel. A big thank you to Lorraine and Katie at reception for organising my parents anniversary break.They went over and above when booking our stay. We enjoyed our stay so much that we can't wait to come back again. Food was delicious in the bar. The pizza's are amazing! We dined in the restaurant one evening.The host was super friendly,he really made us feel comfortable and super at his job. Seabass and the steak was the best I've had! Excellent hotel 10/10. Irish hospitality at it's best!

28/09/2026: I ordered the Korean style crispy chickrn with egg fried rice and ate it around 18:00. I then woke up just a few minutes ago at 2:25 with the need to vomit knowing I've been perfectly fine and only felt sick after the food. Rice seemed like it had been reheated and chicken wasn't even crispy

18/05/2026: Awful could not eat this food and was sick from what little I did. Spent 30 euros starter, main and a drink, All I could finish was the drink!!!

05/10/2026: Man serving me today had no hair net for his beard, bit into my sandwich to find a black hair (I’ve blonde hair). Safe to say I’m now turned off subway

09/09/2026: Frozen chips, frozen tiny piece of fish swimming in grease . Fish was like a piece of fish you would get from a supermarket . Powdered curry sauce literally like water all I can say is absolutely horrendous food spent 12 euro and threw it straight in the bin.
