09/08/2026: The staff is just fantastic. Last time I was in at launch time not dinner. There tacos arnt on the lunch menu. I asked our server, not a problem I'll get those for you. Such a good place to eat and go to.

13/07/2026: Ordered through the Supermacs app. We got a call after an hour to say our food had been delivered to the wrong house. Then had to wait an additional 30mins for our order to arrive. Food was stone cold when it arrived. Genuinely disappointing. When you go in the food is always so good but delivery is just terrible. This is not the first time this has happened either. Weâve gotten wrong food before and sometimes missing items too. If youâre going in, grand, if youâre ordering for delivery order on just eat so at least you can get a refund!
27/06/2026: Food was over all good and staff were really nice but I found a black hair in my food and my hair is blonde so definitely not my own. NOT ONE STAFF MEMBER WAS WEARING A HAIR NET!!!!! I work in the food sector and hair nets should be mandatory

09/07/2024: Simple and good. Very friendly staff! Watched football on TV with great sound. We had two meals, the burger which was great and the steak sandwich which unfortunately was disappointing to me as the steak was not so good... as it is listed as one of the specialtys of the house that should've done better! But had an overall great evening.

We chose the Skillet Pot at Treacy's West County Hotel based on an AI recommendation while searching for a proper âSunday pot roastâ â something that felt traditional and true to Ireland. It came up as a top choice, and we decided to give it a shot.
The restaurant opens at 6pm, so we made a reservation right when they opened. We were seated immediately and had our pick of tables, settling into a comfortable spot for two.
The menu is well structured with starters, mains, and desserts, and there were some strong options (the sea bass stood out). That said, we came for the roast â and thatâs what we ordered.
The beef roast with mashed potatoes absolutely delivered. It came out hot, tender, and beautifully plated. The potatoes were clearly real (not processed), the brown gravy was rich and flavorful, and the traditional pudding on top added a nice authentic touch. Everything was cooked and seasoned exactly right â honestly, this is exactly what I was hoping for when I think of a Sunday roast in Ennis.
Service was also excellent. Our server, Antonina, struck the perfect balance â attentive without being intrusive, never rushed us, and was always nearby when we needed something. Super wholesome and personable.
For dessert, I had the chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream. It was my first time trying it â enjoyable, though I donât have much to compare it to. My wife went with the rhubarb apple crumble with vanilla ice cream, and she definitely feels like she made the better choice.
Overall, this was a great experience. If youâre looking for a proper, traditional Sunday-style meal in the Ennis area, this place is absolutely worth considering.
