01/12/2024: Very disappointing. It seems like a lovely cosy place but unfortunately I have to agree with more recent reviews. I ordered a chowder which was tasteless and watery. We also ordered a minute steak which was very small and overcooked. Presentation lovely but no flavour
24/11/2024: The place is cozy, with excellent service, good food and ambiance. Saturday night, we were treated to live guitar music. Highly recommended!

12/11/2024: Arrived here on a Thursday night after a long drive from Dublin with 2 friends. The first thing you notice is the beautiful space - covered, spacious room beer garden, with a rustic converted barn indoor area.
We were looked after as soon as we walked in the door, Henry and Laura were so friendly and accommodating. We had a pizza each with dips, all delicious.
We came back on the Saturday too for drinks after having such a good experience the first night. Brilliant atmosphere, great music and lovely staff once again. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Ennistymon!

23/11/2024: The hotel is very nice and is on a hill, a small river flows around it, the surroundings are very nice and if you go into the village which is a short walk away there is a great pub and its name is Eugens. The owner is a great guy 🤩🤩 The hotel is super nice 👍🌸
18/11/2024: The only negative with this hotel is that it is a bit dated looking. Other than that, excellent.
Excellent value, awesome food, comfortable clean rooms, friendly helpful staff, and in a beautiful location.
Good, sauna, steam room and outdoor hot tub.
Will definitely return.
(I'd suggest cutting the trees back a bit alongside the river so that you can see better.)

Unglert's Bakery, Health Shop

04/10/2024: One of the best bakeries we have ever visited. We are from Spain and stopped by after being drawn to it. Upon entering, we were welcomed by a charming German couple. They were delightful, and the place had a warm, family atmosphere that made conversation enjoyable. They were wonderful and even prepared coffee for us to take away. Additionally, the prices were very reasonable given the quality of the pastries and coffee. We highly recommend it for anyone passing through the town, and we will definitely return one day.
21/09/2024: iontach 🤩 the best bakery in Ireland. Apple strudel is 2nd to none - I’ve German friends who travel here for it. Unglert and his wife are beautify talented people

01/11/2024: I didn't find a breakfast room as I read on other reviews, but I bought an Apple pie and a scones. They were excellent. Especially scones which tend to be a ball of dough, whereas theirs maintained an excellent balance between the crunchy outside and the center which remains cooked but moist thanks to the generous portion of raisins

Cooley's House

12/10/2024: We asked them if they could call us a taxi and they kept lying to us it was coming and made us wait 1h. We gave up in the end and decided to walk for almost 1h and 20 min instead to get to out accommodation. Not setting foot in this place ever again.
07/10/2024: We had a great time at Cooley’s house celebrating our wedding. Pay and Joan are both such wonderful people and made us feel so at home. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and we loved learning a little bit about the history of the Pub!

Portions are very generous and the tasty.
The chicken biriyani was really delicious.
And all the food is halal.

Grovemount House

24/09/2024: We had a great stay at Grovemount House. Our room was large and spacious with incredible views of the sunset. We loved hearing the cows in the pasture in the evening. It is close to lots of attractions and the towns of Ennistimon and Lehinch for shopping and restaurants. The hosts were the nicest people we have ever met. We highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.
08/08/2024: A delusion. From the outside the place wouldn't be bad either, unfortunately the inside is all very old from the rooms to the bathrooms to the furnishings without even breakfast. Definitely expensive. The property is now for sale
