09/11/2024: Can't think of a better little pub to enjoy a pint and some home cooked food. The seafood chowder is out of this world.

29/10/2024: Excellent time & meal. Good atmosphere & extremely nice staff. Freshest fish & chips we ever had ( the catch of the day) . Friendly & polite owners. Pity we were not at a live music moment! We’ll be back & scheduled.

18/10/2024: Just phenomenal. Viennoseries were some of the best I’ve ever had. Couldn’t resist staying away for more than a day, had to go back twice today, and will likely be back tomorrow. The staff is lovely as well. Definitely try the pain au raisin, and the kouign amann. The pastel de nata is superb. Also the coffee was so nice! I’m very into American third wave coffee, and while all the coffee in Ireland is quite nice, the espresso here is sweet, and fruity. Loved it.

29/10/2024: My husband had been craving a seafood chowder and I read great reviews about this pub and it did not disappoint. We had the chowder and garlic mushrooms to start and they were both delicious, they were kind enough to share a main course of cottage pie between my kids and they ate every bite it was so tasty. I had the vol au vents and my husband had the curry. We couldn't fault any of it, it was so good and everyone around us was so friendly.

24/10/2024: Very authentic Irish pub including traditional Irish live music. Arrive early as the pub fills up quite quickly. Friendly staff.

13/10/2024: Been to vagabond a few times. Food was tasty and good selection. Service was a bit slow because it was busy. Had lovely ice cream for dessert. Check the specials for something different.

03/10/2024: Today, traveling from Waterford, we went to have dinner. at the Vagabond restaurant. on the ocean shore. Nice music, does not interfere with conversation. delicious desserts. and seafood. polite and pleasant staff. A pleasant waitress served us with a beautiful smile. we liked it.

07/11/2024: The Edge in Lahinch was a letdown from start to finish. The decor felt uninspired and tired, lacking any warmth or charm. For a restaurant on the coast, it failed to make the most of the view, with awkward seating that missed the mark. The food, unfortunately, was just as disappointing. Dishes arrived lukewarm and bland, lacking any of the freshness or flavor you’d expect, especially at these prices. Seafood, supposedly a highlight, tasted anything but fresh, and the seasoning felt almost nonexistent. Service was inattentive and slow, with staff seeming indifferent to the experience. For the high prices, I expected far more professionalism and attention. In short, The Edge promises a premium experience but delivers subpar food, lackluster service, and a dull atmosphere. Don’t waste your time or money here.

02/11/2024: Just popped in for a coffee. Laid back atmosphere and decor.

30/10/2024: We went for brunch, Great value, really nice menu. Did half portions for the kids. Waitresses were really good, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

18/09/2024: The owner, Peter, is a great bartender and conversationalist. A must stop for any trip to Lahinch. Do not miss this this historic pub!

14/10/2024: Jesus lord help me the pastries here are unbelievable. Like absolutely incroyable or whatever the French say … get it? French pastries. .. didn’t they come from there ? Class anyway.

21/09/2024: Looking for a coffee and something on hand we found Hugo's Cafe. We were absolutely thrilled! The sandwiches heahlty & delicious! The Pasteis de Nata are a dream! Brie and apple chutney to put in! The coffee is the best in Ireland so far! An absolute recommendation! (And no, that wasn't too many exclamation points!!!)
