06/10/2024: Dropped in on an awful wet day. Staff were great - we had a fabulous coffee and walnut cake with our cuppa. Brought a smile back to our faces despite the wet weather. Great little shop - worth a visit.

02/07/2024: Amazing food. Had the beetroot salmon special for starter which was fantastic and the dessert of rice pudding was great. Will be back.

09/10/2024: Wow, I wish I had the euros to buy and maintain this stunning place. Perhaps I could afford a night or two next time I'm down this way. The interior of the house is fabulous and the outside surrounds and view are to die for. Be sure to check out the horses heads in the stables (just below the top windows). Also make sure you climb the 100 steps (didn't count them but that's what they are called). The views from the top are superb. All in all well worth the adventure all round. A must see.

04/10/2024: Stunning views, tearoom with delicious brownies which feel like they contain 90 percent chocolate, delicious teas and coffee. The gardens are also worth a visit and offer breathtaking views over bantry bay. Good place to spend some time. Also the house is worth a visit and shows the history of West Cork and the family of the Earl's of Bantry Family White

14/11/2024: Ali & the rest of the staff are the most friendly individuals that welcome us. Had seekh kabab that was absolutely delicious, generous portion served with Nan. We look very look forward to visit them again while we are staying in Bantry. Highly recommend their food & service.

30/09/2024: This is definitely the place to go if you want to eat something tasty as a vegetarian or vegan. We were able to find something for everyone. The coffee is absolutely amazing as it is “three fools”. Great experience and happy that they’re there. I would however recommend, to have the food on the counter covered as lots of people stand there have conversations and shake their hair around. We will definitely be back.

26/09/2024: My group had a really disappointing experience recently. I work as a community worker on the north side of the Cork and had arranged over the phone to bring a group of 15 elderly people to see an exhibition advertised to be on until 31st December 2024. I had let the venue know we would be coming and had asked about lifts, access etc. All was hunky dory over the phone. When we got there on the monday morning, we were told by the staff member I had spoken to on the phone the week before that the exhibition had been taken down at short notice because of Culture Night. I had people aged 65 to 83yrs with me, yet the staff member in charge offered no apology, nor were we offered to sit down to catch our breath or encouraged to stay for a cup of tea or offered any help in finding another exhibition or thing of interest close by. The staff member in charge claimed I had got my dates mixed up and showed no people's skills nor kindness. A few days later I requested contact with a manager through the website 'contact us' section. It's been 11 days and I haven't received a call or an email. A missed opportunity to connect and restore confidence. I won't be bringing groups to St Peter Church in future nor promote its activities in my own circles.

21/06/2024: 'The' place to go in Bantry as far as I'm concerned. Just the best bar and how an Irish Bar should be. Had a fire going and boy was it welcome.

13/11/2024: What can one say? It's the real deal as far as traditional irish pubs go. I've never had food here though, just drink.

08/10/2024: One place which is on the Bantry Bucket list. It's a favourite with tourists, the authenticity of the place. Being able to walk back in time gives it the appeal, tourists and the trusty regulars love about the place. As my American friends said while have a Murphys, "Imagine the stories these walls and cobbled stone walk way can tell".

17/10/2024: Very nice and quick service. The food was very tasty and filled you up. Unfortunately I didn't like the atmosphere that much, otherwise everything was great.

25/09/2024: I have been trying seafood chowder all over Ireland this past week, and this was by far the best! Great flavor with generous amounts of seafood. The wife had the vegetable soup and loved it. The staff was wonderful and welcoming. If you are near Bantry, I highly recommend it. Price was reasonable.

27/10/2024: Always so happy to go to the fish kitchen. Everything is excellent, and we are received with incredible friendliness. 3 starters to share, 1 main course each and a good walk for dessert :) Thanks again to the whole team! Florine

03/09/2024: Looked good from the outside and the staff were quite pleasant, although didn’t once speak to us after serving our food, which is unusual in Ireland. And unfortunately the food let this place down, the chowder was quite watery and flavourless. Full of bland white fish. The worst one we’d had in 2 weeks of chowder eating in Ireland. The 1/2 ‘crab’ and salmon sandwich on the side was 99% mashed salmon with no butter on the soda bread. Nice but dry. A lovely salad accompaniment however, the carrot and sesame was great.

02/10/2024: Made a booking online then turned up (after driving 20 mins) and they have signs up saying permanently closed…suggest to change the booking system to stop taking bookings

24/09/2024: I am a new resident to Bantry but I have visited this restaurant many times in the past, especially for breakfast. I am now a resident of Bantry and I have had occasion to visit the restaurant with my nephew and his wife from New York. I my guests and I were well looked after by the owners and their wonderful staff. O,Connors Seafood Restaurant serve all that is fresh and local with a highly trained staff and an outstanding chef. If you visit Bantry, you should not leave without a visit here.

17/10/2024: This place is a real gem. It's fantastic to find healthy AND delicious takeaway vegetarian food. And the cakes... oh the cakes. I'm so glad we'd stocked up before the storm arrived 😃

11/09/2024: Found by chance and enjoyed delicious coffee and chocolate Brownies. Back following day for cakes, croissants, sausage rolls and marmalade to go! Quality food at very reasonable prices with really friendly team. Love it!
