12/08/2025: I visited here recently while on a staycation near Bantry with my partner, father and grandmother. We were all very impressed with the quality and taste of the food(pizza, fresh fish and chips and a quarter pounder meal) and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
The lads behind the counter were very friendly and helpful and there was a very pleasant atmosphere. Fantastic value for money. In a great location and overall it was a top notch experience eating at Pizza World. There are a few tables both inside and outside but may not be suitable for a large group unless ordering for takeaway.

16/07/2025: Great vibe in that pub, which seems very small from the outside, but is quite deep with several rooms in the back and also a nice beer garden. Great atmosphere with friendly people and the staff is very nice, though not numerous enough to handle the crowd.

15/08/2025: Popped into The Quay as wanted to get the feel of a traditional Irish pub. The wooden beams and space was nice. The staff smiling and polite always asking if everything was ok. Tried a guiness from the motherland and omg thousand times better than the stuff I'm served in London. Ordered a sea food chowder. My taste buds where dancing, the chowder was heart warming and the fish was amazing. Thank you Quay Bar and thankyou team for being best in class your hospitality was noted.
15/08/2025: Had a lovely lunch here, the quick fix special and my partner had the sea food chowder. Both were exceptional. The veg soup was to die for

13/08/2025: I had a soup and a sandwich with coffee, which was pretty good. I also asked for a glass for my water, but it had a red lipstick on it, so I asked if I could get a clean glass and was given one with an orange lipstick on it. One has to appreciate a sense of humour.

02/10/2024: Made a booking online then turned up (after driving 20 mins) and they have signs up saying permanently closed…suggest to change the booking system to stop taking bookings
30/09/2024: We ate twice at O’Connor’s whilst visiting Bantry - breakfast and diner - with a large and small family group.
Our Aunt Margaret loves O’Connors so we skipped mass and headed over for a hearty breakfast. We had a large crowd over and O’Connor’s, who were very busy, were superb in accommodating our booking. Service was fast and attentive, the staff lovely even though they were rushed off their feet. Luckily Margaret had booked and we saw many people turned away.
O’Connor’s is clean and modern, a lovely place that has a great atmosphere and the staff take time to chat, again, despite being busy. Portions are great and because I arrived a little late, the O’Connor’s team sorted me a fantastic gluten free bacon sandwich.
A couple of nights later, we went for dinner with a smaller group and it was very good. We sat in the covered area out side and it felt very cosmopolitan,
Brilliant restaurant, family friendly and good value. The key selling point is the fantastic staff. I understand it’s up for sale and the challenge for new owners will be matching how good this place is. Lovely people, good food and brilliant service.
