13/09/2026: Sam’s Bar is easily one of the best pubs in Ireland. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and always a brilliant place to stop for a few drinks.
It has that proper local pub feel that’s getting harder to find, and whether it’s busy or quiet you always feel welcome. Great craic, good pints and just a really enjoyable place to spend an evening.
If you’re visiting Kinsale, Sam’s is definitely worth a visit. One of those pubs you keep going back to.
18/08/2026: Awfully rude bar manager who really shouldn't be working in hospitality. There are so many great pubs in Kinsale that deserve your business, this isn't one of them.

02/10/2026: Best food in kinsale. Hands Down. Delicious, generously portioned, healthy, flavourful food. I eat here as often whenever I am home. Sit-in and savour every bite. My go-to order is ramen, pho or chicken soto.
28/08/2026: Quick service restaurant with some good vegetarian options. (Not always easy in seafood forward Kinsale.) Will prepare any bowl as vegetarian/vegan. Most customers seem to get as takeout but there is a small dining area.

16/08/2026: Staying with family who live in Kinsale so gave it a go .Unfortunately Cooked differently and the quality not as good as used to back home.
Couldn't eat 2 of the dishes sadly bad taste and not what was expected. Tried but won't be using again . Staff friendly enough but considering the cost poor value. 14 dishes purchased majority of starters all good.

02/08/2026: Called in advance and asked if they had tables in 20 mins time. They said they had walk ins available and took our name and number. Got there and we were told they weren't taking anyone without a reservation. Very disappointing.

27/06/2025: Visited here for lunch during the week. The place was fairly quiet.
We were sat at a nice window table but it took 10 minutes to get menus and a further 15 to have our order taken.
We went for crab salad and fish and chips. The food arrived pretty quickly and the portions were large.
Both dishes were very disappointing. The fish was not fresh and totally overcooked. It was mushy inside the thick hard batter. The crab was quite watery and not very tasty.
All in all, not a very good experience.

01/11/2023: Over all I would never go to this place again. The pizza is nice enough but still not the best. We had a big order they forgot 50% of the order , we ordered some meals with drinks and they didn’t come with chips or the drinks that we paid for and claimed to be in the meals. We ordered 2 burgers and they were burnt . When we went to pick up the order there was smoke all over the place we could smell the burnt burgers . The chips that we got were cold. I would never go here again.
01/11/2023: i would never order from this place again. we had a large order and they forgot multiple things on the pizzas, as well as not including several sides and drinks in which we payed extra for. additionally, the burgers and such were simply not good at all - the patties were burned to crisp, practically looking like charcoal. actually, when we had walked in there to collect our food, there was smoke filling up the room to the point that it was not even safe to breathe well in there. we were coughing like crazy, i’m just glad everyone was safe and no one was hurt. when we had arrived at the allocated time of arrival, they had told us to wait for a few minutes - this crept up to being half an hour of us standing there, since the two available tables there were taken. overall, we were not impressed - this was not acceptable, at all 🔥😡😡

The Blue Room

28/06/2026: We had a wonderful afternoon snack at The Blue Room in Kinsale and couldn't have been more impressed. The food was outstanding, I'd highly recommend the hummus with chips and the scallops, both of which were absolutely delicious.
What truly elevated the experience was our waiter, a young gentleman with a fantastic sense of humor who made us feel so welcome. His friendly personality and excellent service made our visit even more enjoyable.
To top it all off, the view from the back deck overlooking the harbor is simply beautiful. Great food, exceptional service, and a stunning setting. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend The Blue Room to anyone visiting Kinsale.
06/06/2026: Coctails cpuld be better and prices in the menu for coctails do not match reality with explenation "oh we did not upadate it". Not recommended
