11/01/2025: A truly & honestly fantastic experience. The food, wine & most importantly the service was certainly the highlight of our evening. Will definitely be back for more!

05/01/2025: Arrived right at opening to try our luck at a walk in spot at the bar and they had a last minute reservation cancel so we snagged a table! Service was so kind and helpful. The food was divine! Favorite meal of our trip to Ireland! Highly recommend!

03/11/2024: Went here to celebrate engagement with our extended family. Food was really nice but the service was very poor. Attitude of the waitress was very bad and felt we were inconveniencing her throughout the whole evening. Had to go to the main bar to ask for drinks because no one was coming to our table. Starters came out for half of our party and by the time we had finished it, the remaining starters came . Ordered sticky toffee pudding and mine was cold while others were warm. Ordered soup and garlic bread for a child and only the garlic bread came.

28/11/2024: A great place to have breakfast. The decoration is beautiful and very cozy. We ordered a couple of dishes (the focaccia sandwich and the Turkish eggs) and they were 10. Highly recommended 😋😋.

22/12/2024: Absolutely amazing experience, some of the best food we’ve ever had, flawless service and great atmosphere. The food reminds of the traditional irish flavours but with elevated and extremely interesting new shapes and textures. All of that complemented with an extensive catalogue of wines. If I could only recommend one restaurant in Ireland it would be this one.

18/12/2024: We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary with my parents in Bastion recently and what a special evening it was. The venue is cosy and welcoming with beautiful white table cloths and and intimate atmosphere. The 7 course tasting meal was delicious, and culinary treat. Paul, Helen and Max were all incredibly knowledgeable and informative on the different processes used in making each course. We opted for the wine pairing option and Helen described each wine pairing in detail, heightening our enjoyment of both the wines and the evening. It was a very special evening that we will treasure and I couldn’t recommend this establishment and Helen and Paul highly enough. Thank you Lowry

11/09/2024: The hotel staff goes above and beyond, for real. They were incredibly helpful. We were amazed by their hospitality. Wow! The room was huge, well equipped and the premises are beautiful.

19/11/2024: We arrived in kinsale after a very early flight into Cork. Despite check in time being 1400 we decided to see where the hotel was in relation to the village. It was approximately 9.30 and Anthony was at reception. Not only could we check in now.. he recommended a fabulous walk and walking holes on the route. Had a super after noon visiting the bulman and the spaniard. Dinner was back at the hotel, and Anthony was not joking when he said his food was superb.. 10/10 for the t bone steaks and fresh fish. We dined unnthe bar by candlelight. An early night followed and after a fabulous comfy sleep we went down for breakfast... wow !!! Limitless hot drinks.. orange juice.. breakfast however you liked it. Cannot fault this hotel at all. I juat wished we had booked longer bit we will be back. Out new fave place !!!

05/01/2025: This is the big tourist spot for a lunch time excursion to Kinsale. Easy walk from the center of the town, even in the howling rain and wind. There is a pub side and a restaurant side. If you are coming at high season I would imagine you'd need to book in advance but we walked in (December) and got seated with no issues. Food and service were very good. No need to over think it.

05/01/2025: Amazing breakfast here! The place was literally across the street from our accommodation. The breakfast is highly recommended!

09/12/2024: I've eaten here several times and the food is amazing here.We Had the hake and mussels and prawn scampi for starter.Amazing.Front of house is a lady and very helpful.Really recommend this place.

15/12/2024: The only reason I can't give the room a 5 star is the telly. It is so small that you have to stand in front of it to see the screen, but who goes to Kinsales to watch TV. Great service, very nice and spot on staff. The food was top class and I definitely will be back. Best regards Brian Jacobsen, Fermoy Co.Cork

11/01/2025: The chowder and fish n chips are both salty and greasy. Don't eat it again. The fish n chips everywhere are the same.

19/12/2024: Great fish and chips. My oldest son had the deluxe burger which looked and according to him was excellent. Lemon Sole was a favorite of my wife.
