The best restaurants in Kinsale

26/10/2025: Have been there a couple times recently for family events great selection of Malaysian and Asian dishes as well as steaks and seafood service and atmosphere are excellent

08/09/2026: We were staying in Kinsale for one night and had dinner here. We had an amazing experience, the space is absolutely beautiful and the service was excellent. One member of our party is vegan and the chef created a meal that was outstanding. Everything we tried was excellent, including the wine recommendations. If we ever find ourselves in Kinsale again, we will be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.

21/08/2026: Great venue. Food is nice, looks great but nothing amazing tastsbud wise. Extensive wine list. Great staff very friendly and professional. I will always be honest it wasnt my kinda place personally but i get the type of people who would love it. If your a big wine person and like the visuals and like the upmarket perceptions then its for you.

16/07/2026: Terrible experience. The plates and utensils were dirty, the bathroom was especially in poor shape, and the staff appeared too bored to bother. We will be skipping this place on our next visit

06/09/2026: A great spot for a meal, a snack or just a coffee as we did this time. There is parking but it can be full at busy times.

28/08/2026: There were 5 waiters, 4 did nothing inside, one did nothing outside - talking to somebody. None of them came to the table to take the order, so i left.

17/09/2026: Food was good, service left a lot to be desired. Travelers beware, they will not split a check. So if you’re traveling in a group, one person will have to foot the bill.

11/09/2026: Everything was way too greasy. Chips tasted stale and were so dry. Ended up eating 3 pieces of chips and throwing the whole bag away.

06/09/2026: Martin was the best! Made us feel right at home. The food and service was incredible! Would come again!!!

08/06/2026: Boutique comfort with perfect view of the harbour. Dined in their sister property, The Blue Haven Hotel which was incredible.

07/06/2026: Right in the heart of Kinsale, rooms are nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

13/09/2026: Sam’s Bar is easily one of the best pubs in Ireland. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and always a brilliant place to stop for a few drinks. It has that proper local pub feel that’s getting harder to find, and whether it’s busy or quiet you always feel welcome. Great craic, good pints and just a really enjoyable place to spend an evening. If you’re visiting Kinsale, Sam’s is definitely worth a visit. One of those pubs you keep going back to.

18/08/2026: Awfully rude bar manager who really shouldn't be working in hospitality. There are so many great pubs in Kinsale that deserve your business, this isn't one of them.

31/07/2026: The man taking orders was incredibly rude and unprofessional when my teen son and I stopped by to place an in-person order tonight. Dismissive is an understatement. I ended up not ordering anything for myself, just a medium pizza for my son. The order ended up being taken by another employee after the original person taking orders walked off after making eye contact and not saying a word. We patiently waited the entire time (note: there was no line in the store). When his order was ready, it was dropped on the counter with a "ready" and again walked off (no other customers in sight). My son went up to grab it and returned with wide eyes, surprised at the unfriendly reception. I don't expect fanfare over 15 euros but a simple "good night", "enjoy", or "thank you" would have gone a long way after the rocky start to the sale. We only popped in there because the restaurant we wanted to eat at had just closed their kitchen (music and bar only). Mistake but I didn't want to move my car to find someplace that's still open. Parking at my hotel is very limited. I'll fast until my hotel's breakfast versus giving another dollar to such a rude establishment.
