The best restaurants in Kinsale

24/09/2025: Unfortunately they were out of scones. If the waiter could have baked them I'd say he would have, he was so apoplectic. We had coffee and the apple and strawberry crumble instead. Beautifully presented with homemade vanilla ice cream. 10/10. Am already looking forward to going back.

24/10/2025: I love love love love this city! Unfortunately we did not get to stay long. However I got a feel for the city and its people as soon as I stepped of the bus. It’s busy and crazy but so friendly and welcoming at the same time! As for the hotel. I was not a fan, it’s old and I love old, love the history and the charm but it seemed more of a places that needed updating. I hated my room but my family loved there’s. To each their own I guess!

29/09/2025: The hotel has a great location and a rustic feel. Unfortunately, it's quite dated and rather noisy. However, the breakfast was delicious.

13/07/2025: Fab little locally run restaurant in the heart of kinsale very reasonable prices and the lady that runs it is just so lovely 😍. The food is fab 👌

04/11/2025: Even though the setting is pleasant, the service is far from commensurate with the prices charged at this establishment... From the appetizer to the dessert, everything is just okay, and even less so when it comes to one of their specialties, the meat, which they don't seem to know how to cook properly... what a shame... only the slideshow (not included) allowed me to travel a little... One star nonetheless for the person who served us, who was very friendly and professional. I don't understand the other reviews; the 5 stars are not deserved given the quality/price ratio... I won't be going back.

02/11/2025: Came to celebrate a small birthday party during the wine evening. the wine was fabulous, the food was delicious, I think we would have licked the plate. There was plenty of the food and it was really well done, fresh with lots of different things and flavours. Would highly recommend for an evening.

23/10/2025: This is one of those cute cafes that people dream about. The matcha was 10/10. The service was 10/10. My sandwich was 10/10. And the fact that dogs are allowed is the icing on top. I could not recommend this spot more.

11/10/2025: Refused service due to having a service dog. Very disappointing.

20/09/2025: I stopped in mid morning after strolling around town. Just wanted a tea and snack nothing heavy or big. The hot chocolate brownie and ice cream I ordered was easily one of the best things I’ve eaten since I’ve been here in Ireland! Every bit was savored! I left not a crumb!

15/11/2025: The presumed owner is absolutely miserable. Went in tonight and sat in the corner with my wife at a little 2 person table while I had a pint and she had a water (she’s pregnant) before we went home for the night. We were only there about 20 minutes and I was more than halfway through my pint when the owner came over and told us if we’re not both spending money then we had to leave. In all my 35 years of visiting pubs all over Ireland I’ve never ever seen this sort of behaviour. If the owner is reading this just know you are miserable and you alienated a pregnant woman

08/10/2025: Easily the best local pub in Kinsale. The owners are great craic, and the pint of Guinness the best in town by a country mile. Really enjoyed the couple of nights that I spent here.

27/09/2025: Oh what a delicious burger I had! Best in years! The smoke burger is very saucy and delicious 🫶🏻 very good customer service and it was ready in less than 15min. Open until late and will save your cravings on a weekend night.

13/08/2025: Currently on the wild Atlantic way and stopped here for food the prices are great the food tastes lovely and the service is fast , friendly and efficient would recommend to anyone visiting kinsale

11/11/2025: On Monday, it was one of the few restaurants open in the afternoon. It had a lovely atmosphere and a selection of fresh fish on the menu. The salmon was grilled, well-seasoned, and melted in your mouth. Of course, the set included a generous amount of fries, so a single portion would be quite filling. The price was reasonable, nothing outrageous. I recommend it.

09/11/2025: I usually post good reviews, but the rudeness we were faced with yesterday can’t go unsaid. We were a group of 8, we took a bit of time to figure out what to order, normal? not in Dino’s take away. One of the lady at the counter made fun of us by whispering to the other clients present. She then proceeded to whisper about us IN FRONT OF US to her colleagues. Colleagues which were all rude to us and talked down to us. One of my friend didn’t even get what she wanted, the option she wanted was unavailable (tacos), and she wasn’t really left a choice to get the garlic fries (oh and she’s pregnant). I’ve never seen such a level of rudeness (and i’m french). We didn’t even know what we did to be made fun of, and to do it right in front of us? wow. so i guess if you like being made fun of, this is the place for you :)
