The best restaurants in Kinsale

24/03/2025: After a rough start to my trip in Dublin this place was such a breath of fresh air. There's public parking a couple blocks away by the corner. The cafe had a very good eggs benedict and my room, bed & warm shower was exactly what I needed. The staff for the townhouse & cafe were all very lovely as well.

26/03/2025: Had a blast here having a pint after dinner. The bartender was friendly and helped with recommendations regarding beer we weren’t familiar with. We found a small quiet corner and had a blast, enjoying the older building, listening to locals banter around us and otherwise having a good conversation with good beer. This will definitely be a repeat stop for me when I come back through the area.

15/01/2025: The highest praise for this breakfast is "just ok" Food was average, poached eggs overcooked. Far too expensive for what was offered. Much better options in the area at much better prices.

01/03/2025: Dined at No19 last night. Had a lovely evening meal. The team were very accommodating and welcoming on arrival, atmosphere was warm and cosy and the food was great. We went for the Pate to start, which was excellent, and the Beef Stew and Lamb for main. Both mains were delicious! Highly recommend!

04/03/2025: Tasty, well presented food but very small and expensive portions so poor value (e.g. plate of broccoli sitting on romanesco sauce €18; courgette and buratta dish had 6 slices of courgette). The worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. A very polite request was met with a lot of drama and actual eye-rolling by owner instead of being seen as genuine customer feedback. So unprofessional. We wanted to leave but stayed as we had put in order and didn’t want to mimic earlier drama by owner! Ruined our meal as she had every opportunity to let it go and come back over and ask how was our meal, and so created a terribly uncomfortable atmosphere for us. Not what you want or need for your quick bite that added to €95! The owner’s comments below perfectly capture the attitude we encountered. I see a few others on here had a similar unpleasant experience.

02/03/2025: I've heard many good things about Meeran Gani Manzoor's cooking in Rare at The Blue Haven. Any time I felt like trying, it seemed to be only available in tasting menu format. I experience tasting menus as a not very enjoyable posey rigmarole, so when an Indian pop-up - 2 or 3 courses - appeared as part of Kinsale Restaurant week, we went for it. We had a great time. There's always a good buzz in The Blue Haven, and tonight was no different. Stand out dishes were, Murgh Palken ( kolhapuri style chicken w spinach coriander and spices), Meen Polichadhu (haddock baked onion and tomato masala, Prawn Xacuti (fried shrimp w poppy seed and tamarind in coconut curry) but Rara Gosht (slow cooked lamb w onion tomato cardamom and clove garam masala) was superb. Chocolate Cardamom mouse, delicious. Often, in a group, someone's meal isn't great. Not tonight, four happy diners. I

23/03/2025: One of the nicest pizza you have ! Nice an tin crust but cooked not shy with the toppings overall beautiful with every cent

18/03/2025: Probably the best pizza we ever had. Was served by a very friendly young girl and took approx 10 minutes for our order. Highly recommend.
