The Post House Coffee Shop

02/03/2024: Went multiple times, love that it is dog friendly (water bowl outside, treats for the dogs), the coffee was great, the atmosphere is relaxed and I really enjoyed that it isn't cramped inside.
18/02/2024: Staff might have been having an off day, no cups available. Had to have cappuccino in a take away cup.
Few tables were free but cups and plates not cleaned away.
Nice decor. Dog friendly. Courtyard is nice.

29/03/2024: Don't take card for under a tenner which is incredibly annoying in 2024. Otherwise a great spot, great live music.
21/03/2024: I had the seafood platter, but it did not meet my expectation. I hope there will be crab meat/crab claw to be included next time on the “platter”.
Tagliattele seafood was great.
Staffs are very nice - I hope they are well paid.
Place is okay, cozy and we were seated well.
The food is pricey though.

01/04/2024: Myself and the wife dined today. Lovely food but even nicer service and venue. A refined but relaxed atmosphere striking the perfect note. The lobster bisque I had was amazing. Highly recommended for couples, groups of friends and families with children who are happy to sit and eat.

25/03/2024: 100% must go to when you are in Kinsale. They have a fabulous selection of sweet and savoury cakes, breads and pastries, with tea and coffee available too! They also do THE BEST GLUTEN-FREE CAKES I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! I am just tucking into a delicious ginger cake I brought yesterday; it is perfection!
01/12/2023: Finally Kinsale has a beautiful bakery! The bread is amazing, especailly the baguettes. My favourite place to get coffee and a treat, the danish pastries here are delicious! Staff are kind and friendly 💕

24/02/2024: I'm sitting here on a reasonably quiet, off peak season Saturday night...
I walked in maybe 20 minutes ago, no please wait to be seated, nor please seat yourself at the door, so I sat on the bar side at a table for one.
As of yet, there's been no menu or drink order offered despite staff grazing about.
It's pretty clear that this establishment is geared towards locals only.
I've eaten here previously and the food has always been... excellent, the customer service however leaves much to be desired.

15/02/2024: This restaurant is inside Actons Hotel. I was here for a wedding. You wont go wrong eating g at Sydney's and staying at Actons.
22/11/2023: The service was great and the wait time for the food was minimal. There is plenty of parking out side. My total came to just over €40 for a 3 course meal and a pint, I only got garlic bread for a starter but there is a good selection of other starters.
My friend got the soup as a starter, the chicken for a main and the strawberry and apple crumble for dessert. The crumble is an absolute 100/10 and would eat it all day its that nice.

03/04/2024: What can I say but sublime. Nestled in the heart of Kinsale, Bastion was one of the last places I had to tick off the Michelin list and by god did it deliver.
The wine list was excellent and the food and service sublime. Attentive but not overwhelming. The food, well sourced and wonderfully prepared truly an excellent display of localized contemporary food presented impeccably.
Wholeheartedly recommended to anyone nearby - or even further afield. This restaurant will not disappoint in truly displaying the wealth of culinary talent and produce access that Cork has available to it.
29/03/2024: We had the discovery tasting menu and wine paring. The evening was amazing with wonderful flavours and textures. Everything was perfect from the mini brioche with treacle butter to the pettifores. The cured langoustine and the rabbit loin were my favourites. We enjoyed everything including the staff with their friendly interaction and detailed description of the wines and foods. Thank you Hellen and Paul.

20/01/2024: The air was thick with the aroma that seasoned pint men covet the most...an almost intangible mix of Friday afternoon's and large sporting events. The Beamish was delectable and fortified by a draw that would shame an architect. A true gem of a pub that is a garrison of the way Ireland should be represented in Kinsale. Side note....the bacon fries were so reasonably priced I spent more on them than pints.
17/10/2023: Great local bar, fantastic atmosphere, spotless throughout.
