30/11/2024: We spent our last night in Donegal dining at Quay, and it didn’t disappoint. From the exceptional service to the high-quality food, everything was perfect. The steak was definitely chef-approved (we dined with a hotel chef) Plus, we were able to get a reservation for the same day. ⭐️Thanks a lot!

14/11/2024: What an absolute gem of a restaurant. I was a solo diner, staying in a local hotel and decided to walk the extra few minutes to Quay West because the menu online was exactly what I was looking for. I’m so glad I did - the food, the cosy atmosphere, and the warmest of welcomes. The icing on the cake was Jo who went above and beyond in terms of service - what a lovely, unexpectedly memorable experience. I’ll be recommending Quay West to anyone visiting Donegal and I hope to be back myself very soon!

12/11/2024: This was such a great experience! The mussels in white wine sauce was so fresh and seasoned to perfection! Then when I thought it couldn't get any better, I had the brownie. What a stellar experience for my taste buds! All in all it was a great time all around!

03/11/2024: This place is one of the best street styled food in the donegal town. They have a separate breakfast and lunch menu which is served accordingly. They also have specials for the day which is mentioned on the black board on the wall. I wonder why this place is not in the top list or on the must visit place in town. We went for lunch at this place and the place was almost full. No doubt why this place is always full. The food served here was spectacular and lip smacking as the name suggests "Proper Street Food". We had ordered one from their specials -- Korean fried chicken burger and other from the lunch menu -- Lebanese styled falafels taco which was served with salad and chips on the sides. We were absolutely delighted with the burger and would highly recommend having it if it is on the specials menu the day you visit. The tacos were also excellent which was served with chips and salad on the side. Not to forget the well brewed coffee, who doesn't like a nice coffee. They also serve delicious desserts like cakes and pastry which are a must have after such delightful meal. The service was top notch and the staff were very friendly and polite all the time. The food was served hot and fresh within a reasonable time. There is plenty of space available for parking outside the restaurant. I would recommend this place to all my friends and colleagues and also to people who read my review to please visit this place if you crave some fantastic street food with quality, quantity and most importantly taste.

15/12/2024: Food was delicious, there were freshly baked scones. I really liked the vibe of the place. Cafe is on the first floor of Magee store.

24/10/2024: Excellent food, prices, service. Popped in for a late lunch. Will be back tomorrow. Much better than where we ate yesterday, nearby.

28/10/2024: The restaurant is fancy and well worth the price! There are few places that do good vegetarian food, and this place was absolutely amazing. All the dishes I ordered tasted great. The service was timely and the staff was friendly.

13/12/2024: Lovely spot for breakfast. We stayed at the Gateway Lodge and had a fantastic set menu for great value at Blas. Yogurt, tea/coffee, juice, and a large selection of hot breakfasts to choose from.. The French toast really is fantastic!! Great service and so many wonderful Christmas decorations when we went.

07/12/2024: Cute spot for brunch with nice menu options. Note that it only opens at 10am to the public. My friends couldn’t decide what to get so got the half savoury half sweet option which was a good compromise. There was a slight problem with my omelette, but when I notified the staff they fully nulled the cost of it. I will say I didn’t feel like we got the warmest welcome, but again once I mentioned the issue with my meal they were very apologetic which I appreciated.

10/11/2024: We accidentally were early but they let us come in and get a table before they opened. Best mocha and latte we’ve had on our Irish trip so far. Also great playlist.

15/06/2024: Cracking Irish bar in centre of Donegal. Dog friendly and good atmosphere. Even showed the opening match of the Euros for us. Shame about the Scotland result, but can't fault the boozer.

22/04/2024: Friendly and helpful service and great location. The room was comfortable and laid out well.

20/11/2024: Excellent hotel. Stayed in motel style rooms and they were great. Clean and quiet. Short walk to town. Breakfast top class.

17/11/2024: Brilliant place to stay staff so friendly. Anna the receptionist. Was lovely and very helpful. Only 4mins into the town .very central breakfast was fabulous. Will be going back. Thank uou so much .
