06/08/2025: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Easily the worst food and atmosphere I’ve ever encountered. I arrived not knowing what to expect, but I never imagined it would be this bad. The place has an odd industrial vibe and was completely deserted at 1:30 PM on a Wednesday — no staff, no customers, just an eerie silence that honestly killed any appetite I had. It felt more like walking into an abandoned warehouse than a restaurant. We used the self-service machine (since there was no one around) and tried ordering two gyros. The pricing was bizarre. The base price was listed as €10.20, but then you had to manually add meat for an extra €0.50 — excuse me? What exactly is a gyro without meat? That setup is confusing at best and misleading at worst. After ordering, we waited. And waited. Still no staff in sight, no kitchen noise, no clue if our food was even being prepared. About 10 minutes in, we rang the bell on the counter (alongside a bizarre cluster of other restaurant bells). A couple of minutes later, a hipster-looking guy in a Hawaiian shirt literally rolled up on an electric scooter to hand us the food — no joke, it felt like a sketch from a comedy show. The food itself? Disappointing. The gyros were tiny, barely warm, with very little meat, and didn’t taste fresh at all. For over €10, this felt like a total rip-off. As someone who’s been to Greece multiple times, this barely passes as a sample, let alone a proper gyro. A real Greek would probably cry if they tasted this. Avoid.

23/08/2025: So ordered a delivery from maxs as always do online order accepted took €36.40.from account about 20 mins later order cancelled said refund will be giving no sign terrible take your money then have to wait maybe days for money back if not delivering or open surly has to be something in place before you order and pay ive to borrow money now to get food from somewhere else terrible terrible

31/07/2025: Don’t order from Macari 66 if you want 1. Your order to be correct and 2. For the mistake to be rectified effectively. I ordered 2 quarter pounder burgers and 1 chicken fillet burger. The two quarter pounders arrived but when I opened the bag marked ‘38 chicken fillet burger,’ I was surprised to find a third beef burger. I rang Macari 66 as one of the group does not eat beef and asked for the mistake to be rectified. Instead of apologising and sending out the correct item I was told ‘that was strange’ and was I certain they had sent the wrong item. I had numerous separate calls across the space of 15 minutes from different members of staff questioning how the chicken burger possibly couldn’t have arrived when they didn’t have any cooked chicken burgers left behind in the shop. To the staff on the phone, it was more likely that I would bother of going to the effort of ringing the restaurant and lying to them to get an extra burger delivered 30 mins after the rest of the food over them simply making an error. As can be seen from the photo, the burger which was wrapped in the bag marked beside ‘chicken’ is clearly beef… If they had maybe taken a moment to reflect before ringing me as much as accusing me of lying, the staff may have realised that it was in fact possible, that the reason they had no cooked chicken burgers left in the shop is because somebody placed a beef burger into this ‘chicken’ bag and my chicken burger into a ‘beef burger’ bag which was ordered by somebody else!

12/08/2025: Tasty food and have been a customer for many years of this Yum Thai. I got rice and mussuman curry just now for lunch and yet again they continuously overfill with rice with a small margin of curry and I am now left with a carton of plain dry rice - not even some curry sauce to flavour. I have previously requested to consider reducing the rice to curry ratio and for the price charged it is very little value. Very disappointed. They have lost me as a customer.

08/08/2025: Popped into Yum Thai by chance when waiting to collect a suit next door. I was delighted I did as the food was lovely! I went for half and half Lemongrass chicken and Pad Thai after the suggestion from the lady working here as I couldn't beside between the two. She was very kind and helpful. Sat inside and ate it. Will be back!

19/08/2025: Worst of BK restaurants I have seen. Staff usually in "I don't care" state. Very often bigger or smaller part of menu not available (once there was no beef products available!) Upgrading to 4 stars as things are better recently. It looks like new staff was hired.

27/07/2025: Great (large) selection of food. Staff are always friendly. Quality of food from all chippys can change slightly day by day BUT I have never been disappointed here. I live close by & the rare time I get it delivered it's a fast delivery

15/08/2025: A local and authentic fish and chips shop. And above all, very good. Super fresh, tasty fish and freshly made fries, super well seasoned. If you're in the area, go there with your eyes closed.

22/07/2024: Very poor taco fries here recently. I arrived to collect my order and they had not noticed it on the system. They asked me to wait 5 minutes which I did. At the same time some customers ordered taco fries. When I got the order home the portion of taco fries was laughable for over 10 euro. Very few fries and pretty much just covered in sauce. Would not recommend here. Very bad experience
