We had the chicken burger and it was absolutely perfect!! Hearty and crispy.
Highly recommended!
31/08/2025: Really a great place 🏠. I was here with my family (we are an italian family of 7 💀 on tours in Ireland) and arrived at Cong in the evening. With no reservation there was a table for us ✌️. Owner and staff really kind and always smiling. The food was excellent, in particular the meat (I took the tomahawk 🍖). Very good also the desserts.
The walls are decorated with pictures of the film "a quiet man".

30/07/2025: Beautiful, cozy place in the heart of the village of Cong. Ideal for starting your stay in Connemara. The restaurant dishes and breakfast are generous but not excellent.

14/08/2025: Terrible! After we ordered, they told us the place would close early (25 minutes earlier), so they put everything in a box and made us leave.
When I asked about the time change, they replied, "We've been here since 6:30."
...well... honestly, I don't change closing time once the order has been taken! Let them know first!!
I strongly advise against it!!!
12/08/2025: Fantastic local cafe with great service, staff friendly and professional. Swift service. Locals eat here, highlight for food in Cong for sure. Parking nearby. Don't forget to check out the ducks!

29/07/2025: Cong is a superb location, Ryans have friendly staff. I had lasagne on this day, and it was ok.
09/03/2025: Lovely stay in cosy Room it's traditional but with all mod cons too. The hot water bottle in the room was just the icing on the cake. Good breakfast too.

22/08/2025: Great Unlimited breakfast however it did take a good 35 minutes to get to the table from ordering (as it's not buffet) however there is continental breakfast included if you can't wait. Unlimited drinks including juices too, nearly everything tasted spot on apart from the black pudding was slightly mushy but still can't complain.
The view from the upper dining area was amazing really recommend and will go again.

17/08/2025: If frozen food reheated in a microwave is your idea of good food, then Danaghers is the place for you.
Ohh, and cash only, not a all suspicious.

08/08/2024: Visita de regreso a este hotel.
Decepcionado con algunas cosas.
Sentí la zona exterior muy sucia, y teniendo en cuenta que es lo primero que la gente ve, los platos sucios, vasos vacíos dejados durante más de una hora en mesas desatendidas era tan poco atractivo.
Ciertamente no se debió a la falta de personal, ya que parecía haber suficiente cantidad de ellos trabajando.
Y mientras que el personal del bar atento y amable, el personal de camareros podría absolutamente hacer con algunos consejos sobre el servicio al cliente, todos parecían hartos, como si no quisieran estar allí y no un poco acogedor o atractivo.
No me alojaría de nuevo.
Una ubicación tan fabulosa y podría ser excelente lamentablemente sentía que había bajado colina de años anteriores.
En una nota adicional pagando solo en efectivo por las comidas grita Dudoso y los clientes deben ser informados antes de hacer el pedido.
15/07/2024: Pensé que podríamos cenar aquí... olvídalo. Bar muy ruidoso gracias a los varios televisores salpicados a todo volumen. Cuando le pregunté a la camarera si podíamos conseguir una mesa me dijeron que "no tenía ni idea, pregunte al personal del comedor". El 'comedor' consistía en muebles baratos parecidos a una cafetería de la escuela sin personal a la vista, así que esperamos y esperamos, pero nadie se acercó a nosotros. La clientela que estaba comiendo allí (descubrimos mientras esperábamos) consistía en una gran familia de la comunidad itinerante!! Hemos dado marcha atrás rápidamente y sin duda nunca volverá. ¡El lugar es lo que mi hija describió como "una inmersión"!
