01/01/2026: Had a really enjoyable chicken curry as main but I was very disappointed with the creme brulee as it was served on a large plate as a set custard. No caramelised top. I've had it before & I always look forward to it. I was going to make a point about it when we went to pay but we just got our bill & weren't asked if we were happy with the food or service.

06/01/2026: Fantastic experience from start to finish. One of the only places left after COVID where people really care about their job and still have passion for it. Food was unbelievable from main dish to even the sauces on the side. Caoimhe looked after us very well, always smiling and checking on us to make sure everything is going good. Thank you so much to all the staff and chefs, lovely experience and a fantastic value for money. Definitely coming back
31/12/2025: Have been here a few times, its the finest eatery in cavan town. We dined here last night and it was just top notch from the service to the beautiful food. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to my next visit..

21/09/2025: every time my family go to cavan we always go to dinner here!! the staff are so lovely and attentive and we’ve never had any problems with our food. They also offer gluten free and can cater to other options. Definitely recommend this place!! :)

Lakeside Manor Hotel
18/12/2025: Our Retirement Group (32 people attended) had our Christmas Lunch Party here and we had a great time. Manager Claire and all the staff were very accommodating in every possible way, from the moment we booked the party. The room upstairs was beautifully decorated, the room was lovely and warm, the set menu choices (every course had two choices) was delicious and festive. The food was delicious. All the staff were very kind, patient and helpful. They truly went out of their way to give us a very special and enjoyable Christmas celebration. All our members were extremely positive in their reviews. I highly recommend the Lakeside Manor for an event like this.

08/01/2026: What a lovely week we spent here. The staff were lovely, so helpful and accommodating and the food was fantastic.
The only reason I didn't give 5* is we went when it was very hot and there's no air-conditioning- though they provided a fan.

28/10/2025: My husband and I had the best culinary experience in all of Ireland here. And I truly mean it was a wonderful experience, not just a meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, the service was at a relaxed pace, and each course was beautifully curated (both flavours and presentation). The dining space was cozy but spacious too, so it felt intimate. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough!

Service sympa et efficace,dans un joli cadre loin des décors des pubs avoisinants (et repas plus calme …)
Tout comme l’eau, la note est un peu salée (130 euros les 2 plates + 2 desserts + 4 verres), mais c’est l’Irlande …

19/12/2025: Myself and my partner now husband got married here in the Errigal country Hotel in Cootehill last Saturday 13/12/2025. I would like to start of by thanking Niall for everything he has done for us. Anything I asked and more he done. He is amazing man and very patient and looked after not only me the bride and groom but my family and friends to. Everyone that works in the Errigal are the nicest people I could ever meet. Very helpful, kind, friendly and are amazing at there jobs. All my guests couldn't get over how big the rooms were. Bridal suit was top class. The chef, thank you, the food was absolutely delicious. There wasnt a plate in the room not cleaned off. People are still talking about how good the food was. My band Temptations PJ a local man done us proud the dance floor was never empty. We all danced the night away in a magical ball room all done up for Christmas. Niall thank you from the bottom of my heart for making are day so special from start to finish.
If anyone is newly engaged or getting engaged this Christmas please check out the Errigal hotel in Cootehill for your wedding you will not be disappointed how amazing the place is. I am so happy we choose here, staff, rooms, food ect was unreal. Niall thank you and your team for all you have done for me. X
23/11/2025: We had a really lovely stay here. The outdoor spa was our highlight. Meal, cocktails etc were gorgeous. Staff were all super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for an affordable night away
