16/01/2026: Absolutely loved it. Food was top notch. Staff couldn't have been any nicer. Seating was great.

01/01/2026: Had a really enjoyable chicken curry as main but I was very disappointed with the creme brulee as it was served on a large plate as a set custard. No caramelised top. I've had it before & I always look forward to it. I was going to make a point about it when we went to pay but we just got our bill & weren't asked if we were happy with the food or service.

24/02/2026: Quiet and relaxed. Very professional and a well run service. Food exactly as ordered and the chef should take a bow, very good. Desert should come with a government health warning, but you would die happy. After a few weeks in the gym, I'll look forward to the next one. Highly recommend a visit.

18/12/2025: Our Retirement Group (32 people attended) had our Christmas Lunch Party here and we had a great time. Manager Claire and all the staff were very accommodating in every possible way, from the moment we booked the party. The room upstairs was beautifully decorated, the room was lovely and warm, the set menu choices (every course had two choices) was delicious and festive. The food was delicious. All the staff were very kind, patient and helpful. They truly went out of their way to give us a very special and enjoyable Christmas celebration. All our members were extremely positive in their reviews. I highly recommend the Lakeside Manor for an event like this.

15/03/2026: Stayed 3 nights at end of February. Spotless hotel . Really well maintained rooms . Great breakfast with many options for each morning . Staff are really welcoming . Lovely woman working on breakfast service. Can’t remember her name, she had black bob and mentioned she was from clones. She was wonderful and would go above and beyond .

21/09/2025: every time my family go to cavan we always go to dinner here!! the staff are so lovely and attentive and we’ve never had any problems with our food. They also offer gluten free and can cater to other options. Definitely recommend this place!! :)

15/02/2026: I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mason’s Apron. I usually get all our birthday cakes from here, and they have never disappointed—but this time they truly went above and beyond. For my son’s first birthday, we ordered a Boss Baby–themed cake, complete with smooth icing sugar and a beautiful edible picture on top, and it was absolutely perfect. The cake looked stunning, but what really impressed us was the taste. I had mentioned to the staff that our family needs to be careful with sugar due to diabetes, and they were so understanding and accommodating. The sweetness was perfectly balanced—not too sweet at all—yet still incredibly delicious. Every bite was soft, fresh, and full of flavor without being overwhelming. You can truly taste the care and skill that went into making this cake. Hats off to the amazing staff and an even bigger hats off to the baker! Since this was the first time they made this particular style of cake, the fact that it turned out this flawless is even more impressive. The price was very reasonable, the service was excellent, and the final result exceeded all expectations. We’ve just finished the cake, and everyone loved it. Mason’s Apron once again made a special occasion even more special. Highly, highly recommended—I’ll definitely continue getting all our celebration cakes from here! 🎂✨

25/01/2026: Amazing food, flawless service, beautiful restaurant. Left feeling perfectly looked after, pleasantly full and purely content. Had the scallop, venison special and apple tarte tatin. My husband had the special creme brûlée which he adored. Special shout to Niamh who was such a wonderful person and provided us with amazing service. Will 100% be back! Absolutely gem of a restaurant
