26/09/2024: We recently visited Willows at 11.45 a.m. We were greeted at the entrance by a staff member who said that they were changing to the lunch menu, so we could be waiting 30 minutes to order and who then walked away. This is at odds with the usual greeting we receive, but like the staff member, we walked away and dined elsewhere.

03/09/2024: We had our dinner in foxes on Sunday. It was fabulous so tasty ๐ tasted like more...beautiful place and very friendly helpful staff. The waitress we had was so good to our 4 and a half year old boy. She was so nice and bubbly with him. We've always eaten in foxes and it's going to be a regular occurance for us now. Keep up the great work guys...well done

26/10/2024: Absolutely fantastic dining experience here. My friend Ally and I had the Lamb and it was 10/10. The owner is the chef here and he is an awesome host, the food is also next level. I highly recommend Murphโs bar. If you want the best dining experience in Cavan in beautiful surroundings this is the place to come to. Regards Alan.

12/11/2024: Great food, inventive and confident cooking, Game pie starter was gorgeous as was wild mallard, (he was light weight - a busy flyer) . A lovely setting and look forward to a return visit.
08/11/2024: Awful, do not go, terrible service. We arrived and ordered wine, then our wine glasses were taken away? Why I have no idea but wine was poured away from the table and tasted like vinegar, we did not finish it. The table next to us had wine poured at the table and asked to taste. Our meal was served much after people who arrived later and I had to go to the bar just to get our drink orders as they were not sent to the table. we would let it slide if the blonde waitress was not so rude, but also while treating the regulars like royalty.

Lakeside Manor Hotel
13/10/2024: Absolutely the most shocking service ever.
Bunch of useless waitresses that have Absolutely no motive to be there.
Told to sit wherever.
After 15min had to fetch my own menu as nobody came to bring.
Had to find a waitress to take our food.
Had to walk to the bar to get my own drinks as nobody around.
Nobody checked up on us during service.
Ordered another round of drinks, after 15min had to go ask where our drinks where.
Avoid this place like the plague.
Rather find a coffee shop in town and receive better service.
14/07/2024: โฌ27.80 for 2 coffees which were not nice, very small bottle of kids juice, very small portion of chips, a sandwich and a very small scone! God help tourism in these parts, dearer than most Dublin places.

15/09/2024: My husband and I wanted to take our Finnish friends for a nice meal.
We arrived before 4pm and were told itโs carvery until 4pm and after that we can order from the menu. We bought drinks from the bar and went to the table. No one paid any attention to us, so we went to ask for the menus ourselves. We then waited for half an hour and again no one came to ask if we were ready to order. The place was half empty so itโs not like they were too busy and there was staff walking around, they just wiped some tables, but never bothered to take our orders.
So we just walked out and will never go back again. Very disappointing.
09/09/2024: Food is nice but little expensive, the restaurant is not very clean but in general it's not so bad ๐

04/08/2024: We went for a family dinner on our last night visiting our home country Ireland. I am disappointed to say it is one of the worst meals I have in Ireland when visiting. The place is so badly managed; it was chaos. The servers were fantastic to deal with such poor management. We had to wait an hour and a half until we could order . Then when the food finally came it was frozen chips, tasteless tough duck , barely edible. The poor waiting stuff looked so frazzled . They did their best. Poor food and poor service.
28/06/2024: The place was lovely and clean. The staff was very busy and it took a while before we were served. Could have been quicker. But the food was delicious and well priced

20/09/2024: Was on holiday for a few days with the Mrs & went here for a meal 1 night, as a couple who travel a lot & like to experience new restaurants, I've got to say the food & experience was great. The beef cheeks were amazing, the best ive actually had, perfectly cooked, the Mrs is still talking about her garlic prawns she had as a starter. I will definitely be giving this place another visit next time I'm in the area
