Bunratty Manor

Bunratty
10/01/2026: Rooms are basic but comfortable. There is no elevator to access the rooms on the second floor so if you have mobility issues or can't carry your luggage up the stairs, you should request a ground floor room when booking. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal, walking distance to Bunratty Castle and a couple of restaurants, though the restaurant on-site serves delicious food.

Durty Nelly's

Bunratty
17/01/2026: Unfortunately, I can't comment due to "Google Maps AI Censorship" policy.
13/01/2026: Whilst visiting our Irish family over Christmas we decided to check out the very famous Durty Nelly’s which is located next to the formidable Bunratty Castle. In Ireland I have discovered you sit around in pubs and talk about the Guinness served within the establishment! It was a very decent pint here… but then again it serves 1000’s in a month and it’s been open since 1620 😉. As you’d expect the pub is completely authentic and very atmospheric frequented by what looked like fellow tourists whom like us were probably visiting the family over the festive period… The menu is a good size with plenty of Irish influenced dishes and veggie options. We ordered a Cajun chicken salad a burger plus the ‘famous’ chowder. The food arrived quickly, the portions were generous and both my buddies fell silent so you know it’s ’hitting the spot’ ! This pub is set up for large amounts of business, the style of menu and food reflects that in a really good way. We skipped pudding as by now we’d drank our fill of the delicious‘Black Stuff’ ! We were informed by a lovely waitress that the coffee came from a machine so we skipped that also… shame but understandable. The team were young, super friendly and efficient. Off we went into the gorgeous sunshine to discover what horrors lurk within Bunratty! Thanks team

Traditional Irish Night-Cornbarn at Bunratty Folk Park

Bunratty
21/01/2026: It was a great experience. As it was January it was very quiet and we got to explore all areas without disruption. Really enjoyed learning and looking at all the exhibitions.
21/01/2026: I'm in Limerick on a business trip and took a few hours to visit Bunratty Castle and its magnificent grounds. Entry costs €12 and includes access to the castle, which is beautifully restored, and its grounds, which feature various houses representing different eras and historical landmarks, such as the post office and the doctor's office. Unfortunately, having visited on a weekday in January, it wasn't very crowded or particularly impressive. I would still recommend visiting, but preferably on a weekend or during the summer months.

Bunratty
13/01/2026: Great bar, great food, great music.
08/01/2026: Had the fish and chips, which was typical but pretty good. BUT their Sticky Toffee Pudding was divine! I will be back for this alone.

29/05/2025: Just finished dinner in Bunratty Manor. The restraunt is lovely and the staff very friendly and personable. Noel waited on us today, he was attentive and funny but gave us our space. We'll be back for sure based on his service. The food was delicious, although we were stuffed we cleared every plate.
