12/02/2025: 8 of us ate here on Monday evening. Food was lovely. Staff attentive but so very very cold. Had to eat with coats on Maybe because it was a Monday night and not very busy but only seemed to be a small heater above door coming in and we were seated away from it Had an early bird menu on and food was reasonably priced Just a pity about the cold and I won’t book a Monday night again

Menu had just enough for everyone, gluten free also.
Great choices.
Also nice selection of wines

04/12/2024: A warm friendly welcome is waiting for you and the setting and food are excellent. The staff are very attentive and friendly and I would highly recommend a visit.
There is a great deal on at the moment from their gorgeous Christmas menu and I felt like eating all that was on there! I went for the salmon and champ and others in our party went for the turkey and ham.
Lovely selection of drinks and the Guinness is a lovely pint.
Well worth a visit and you will not be disappointed, go on treat yourself.
04/10/2024: Lovely setting. Food was good, but the service was poor. Not one of the waitresses as much as cracked a smile. One younger girl, actually looked pained to be there....

15/02/2025: Honestly one of the best restaurants around iv never had a bad meal here :) sometimes the wait is slightly annoying especially if your hungry but everyone is polite and its not a long wait and the food is so worth it :) been to the one in muff to which is equally amazing:)
14/01/2025: Beautiful cafe, amazing food, good price! Shame if there’s a big group there’s no chance you’re getting in on a weekend/bank holiday. We love all the Tank & Skinny’s but the views at the seaside one just make it even better.

27/11/2024: An absolutely beautiful bar. So warm and also welcoming but only when Grace and Maeve were working, as Maeve has now left. And we have been fortunate in our last three visits to have the pleasure of Grace. Sadly instead we left on all three occasions feeling let down and unwanted by the senior Barman. Very disappointing

Roadside Cafe

01/01/2025: Nice wee cafe with plenty of choice, also glutenfree (GF) options available. I had a tasty GF breakfast fry, which had all the usual ingredients - I was pleased they had actual GF replacements, instead of just taking ingredients off the plate. My da had a great plate of (regular) fish and chips, too. Lovely place for a quick bite to eat!
28/12/2024: After cooking all through Christmas we looked forward to a fish and chips tea with curry sauce and peas. The place was absolutely heaving so I guess everyone else had the same idea. When we got home and opened the bag we were very disappointed. The fish although loads of it was obviously a frozen version which had just been recooked in the oil it was tasteless. As for the chips they were undercooked it was clear they were so busy they didn’t have enough time to cook the chips properly they were greasy and undercooked sticking to the grease paper. On the whole the meal was a disaster and at over €30 we will not be going here ever again. You have been warned.
