17/07/2025: Food was delicious, staff is extremely friendly and the whole place has a great atmosphere. We ordered a couple of beers and the steak sandwiches fabulous.

14/07/2025: They had gorgeous veggy gluten free nachos and gluten free brownie which wasn't on the menu but they had if you ask ☺️ Love the atmosphere and the customer service is always great

17/06/2025: Beautiful day in Balbriggan. My aunt from Australia jkined us for a day out. Had a lovely meal at this bar/restaurant. Not too busy on a Monday. The aervice was fas and food hot. Plenty of parking. Reccommended

11/06/2025: Typical Irish pub. It is located in a small street in the small center of the town where there are also other places. We ordered fish and chips and a brunch/breakfast dish: good and honest dishes. Orders must be placed at the counter otherwise they do not come to the table to take it (but it is also written on the menu). We went for lunch on a weekday. Nice atmosphere.

10/05/2025: A restaurant more than a pub. Big and spacious. We were there on Easter Sunday, and while busy, we didn't need a reservation.

18/07/2025: Brian at the front of the resort was very helpful and knowledgable. He helped us store our bags while we explored and called us a taxi at just the right time for our flight. Thanks for taking away some of the stress of travel and for making our stay so special.

17/07/2025: We love staying here! Great spot to spend the last day in Ireland before heading back to states. Proximity to airport is perfect. Beautiful location on the beach and golf course. Restaurants on site and atmosphere are wonderful. Always enjoy our stays at this resort!

13/07/2025: Disgraceful “service”, I wanted to buy food but takeaway they said no they don’t do takeaway. That’s fine, after that I said can I just use the bathroom please they said I cannot it’s only for customers. I said that’s fine, I can buy something, a drink or whatever and they said NO!! They can’t only for customers with food. What world do you live in??? Id never return even to have food in a place like this!! The first waiter giving me looks up and down just because I wasn’t probably dressed appropriately for him, in regular shorts and t shirt coming from the beach!!! Avoid, because if there’s no humility in such a place, the food really doesn’t matter! Disgusting behaviour and you should be ashamed of yourself. Literally didn’t want to sell me any drink because I was not going to have any food. Get over yourselves! Ew!!!

03/07/2025: Wow!! What an amazing finale to our Irish sojourn .. the food at the Harbour Bar in Rush is just scrumptious and plentiful servings.. fish dishes especially good.. I started with seafood chowder, followed by prawns aribiatta linguine.. delightful! Washed down with a superb French merlot.. Soecial mention to the wonderful Olivia who brings 5 star service with a winning smile.. a wonderful ambassador for the Harbour Bar. Andrew also cheffing to a very high level.. can’t wait to return!

16/07/2025: We were genuinely excited to celebrate a birthday at Old Street Malahide, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. From the moment we arrived, the tone was set by the host, Sean, whose attitude was unexpectedly dismissive and unwelcoming. A proper meet-and-greet should make guests feel comfortable and appreciated — sadly, that was not the case. We had requested a cosy table on the second floor for the celebration. Sean informed us, without much courtesy, that the upstairs area was closed as it wasn’t the weekend. This was quite surprising, as there was no mention of such a restriction on the website. The restaurant was not particularly busy, which made it seem as though the staff simply didn’t want to maintain the upstairs space. This marked the first of several uncomfortable interactions with Sean, who remained cold and unsmiling throughout. Next, we were taken to a room on the ground floor and offered a table by the window, where the sun was glaring directly into our eyes - clearly not a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. We kindly asked to be seated at another available table in the shade. There was a nearby table that was neither marked as reserved nor occupied. However, without any apology or flexibility, Sean told us, “Unfortunately, this table is for five people, and I can’t seat you there.” It felt more like we were being managed as a problem than welcomed as paying guests. We were then led to another section of the restaurant, which was extremely noisy, with guests having to raise their voices just to hold a conversation. At that point, the overall lack of warmth and hospitality had soured the occasion, and we decided to leave in different restaurant. As we walked out, we noticed that the table we had asked for- the one “for five”- remained empty. Ultimately, due to Sean’s unprofessionalism and lack of basic courtesy, the restaurant lost four potential customers who came to celebrate a special occasion and were more than willing to enjoy a full dining experience. A little kindness and flexibility could have made all the difference. Overall, the service felt rushed and impersonal, and the hospitality did not reflect the standard one would expect from a restaurant with such a reputation. It’s unfortunate when a poor first impression defines an entire experience. I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously. The restaurant certainly has potential - but that can only be fulfilled when guests are welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and respect.

16/07/2025: Unpleasant Greeting Experience at Old Street Malahide Unfortunately, our visit to Old Street Malahide was overshadowed by a very poor first impression, largely due to the attitude of the host, Sean. From the moment we arrived, he was cold, dismissive, and completely lacking in basic hospitality. A greeting sets the tone for the entire dining experience, and in our case, it did -just not in the way we had hoped. Sean made no effort to be welcoming or accommodating. His tone was abrupt, there was no smile, no warmth, and no sense that we were valued as guests. Reasonable requests were met with rigid, unhelpful responses, and it felt as though he was doing the bare minimum to get us seated - or worse, actively discouraging us from staying. It’s a shame because the restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and a good reputation, but when the first person you meet makes you feel unwelcome, it taints the entire experience.

19/12/2024: We had our Christmas party for the 3rd time there! Food was good as always, but the music wasn't as good as previous years, and one of the bartenders had a bit of an attitude at some point! Overall it was a good experience, and we are looking forward to finding out what's coming next year! P.S.: Ruaidhri was there for us every year for our Christmas parties, making sure that we are having the best experience, so we do hope that we will see him there again in the new wrights adventure!

19/06/2025: 6 of us went for brunch. This is a popular restaurant and we waited only 10 minutes for a table. They would not let us book a table. I am gluten free and I found the staff very helpful in giving me options with gluten free bread/toast. For me I found it expensive but I don't live in Malahide. An excellent experience.
