09/03/2026: Been here a few times and generally it’s been good enough to warrant a return. Not fancy, unpretentious but decent food. Not on this latest visit though:-(. Ordered the seafood pie, got a small bowl of creamy fish flavoured sauce/soup with 3 lonely and miserable teaspoon sized pieces of fish and a saucer sized disc of puff pastry popped on top. I know this because I tipped the contents of the “pie” onto my plate and as the watery sauce spread out flooding the entire plate, the three little excuses for seafood that together amounted to about half a fish finger sat forlornly in the puddle. I don’t generally complain and I ate up & said nothing. When I went to pay later I did just mention it to the waiter, who had been eager and attentive and the response was “ thanks for letting us know “ The sentiment didn’t feel genuine, it was all just a little bit lame and hollow, which perfectly matched the fish pie. Pity…!

11/03/2026: Yesterday we went for dinner at Old Street in Malahide and had a truly wonderful experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but what made the evening especially memorable was the outstanding service from our waiter, Dawid. He was attentive, friendly and made us feel very welcome throughout the entire meal. The starters were excellent, the tomahawk steak for the main course was incredibly flavourful, and the dessert was also delicious. Everything was perfectly prepared and the service made the evening even more enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for such a fantastic dinner and for the exceptional service.

08/03/2026: Me and my friends (group of 10) had a table booked for 2 hour slot. We waited for main course long and then were rushed with dessert. We were asked to leave exctly after 120 minutes despite the restaurant having plenty of free tables. I ended up eating my dessert standing while friends were puting on jackets in rush. We were not given chance to finish wine, so we had to leave full glasses on the table. Very unpleasant experience. I definitely don't recommend this place!

18/01/2026: My family and I drive for 40mins to any of the branches to dine on a regular basis , we are in citywest but love the food ,atmosphere and overall experience in GFPs so we just have one problem and thats that they haven't opened on our side of the city yet but definitely worth the tolls, fuel and travel , can't wait to pop back

19/01/2026: 3 of us Called in for lunch about 2.30 on a Monday afternoon. We Were cheerily greeted by Sue, a member of the waiting staff and as well as giving us our menus, we’re brought drinks promptly. The lounge/Resturant was clean and warm with a laid back vibe. We had a Main course and desert. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous. 2 courses with a drink was 27 euro each. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be calling again.

27/02/2026: We gathered here after my sister’s funeral service, and I honestly cannot put into words how grateful we are for the care and compassion shown to our family. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely incredible. They treated us with such genuine respect and kindness, and even placed my sister’s photo on the wall for us - a small but deeply meaningful gesture that meant so much during such a painful day. Nothing felt rushed, nothing felt clinical. They handled everything quietly and professionally, allowing us the space to be together. The meal itself was outstanding. We were served four beautiful courses - homemade soup with fresh bread to start, followed by roast beef and salmon done perfectly, then pavlova and cheesecake for dessert, finishing with tea and coffee. The food was exceptional in quality, generous in portion, and full of warmth - and they kept bringing seconds and thirds (which was no small task with our massive Irish family!). There were plenty of gravy bowls making the rounds too, which certainly didn’t go unnoticed. What stood out most, though, was how they went above and beyond. When we began singing songs together, they closed the doors so we wouldn’t be interrupted. They created a private, respectful space for us to grieve, remember, laugh, cry, and celebrate her life. On a day that could have been overwhelming, they made everything feel seamless. Their professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail allowed us to focus on what truly mattered - being together as a family. We will never forget the kindness they showed us. Truly above and beyond in every way. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

15/03/2026: Lovely cafe in Malahide. Been many times for lunch. Always tasty, good quality, homemade food and the most amazing desserts. Staff are always welcoming and friendly.

11/10/2025: Amazing service from our waitress, Sabrina Veríssimo. It was our first visit to the restaurant, and she was very patient explaining the dishes and very kind to our children.

11/10/2025: More interested in kicking us out than serving us. While we appreciate that the staff need to go home, being told the second you walk in at 8:45 they close at 10 then reminded every ten minutes is pretty poor tbh.
