Would particularly mention the views out to sea, and across the course, luxury spec everywhere, service befitting a luxury hotel, great food all hours of the day, terrific Irish breakfast - and, again, uniformly good service across the board. Access to the magnificent beach a plus.

18/12/2025: Gibney's is definitely my favourite pub in Malahide, even one of my favourite pubs anywhere! Always a great atmosphere with good drinks. Love the live music on Thursdays as well.

The place is well furnished and well cared for, and during the Christmas season it becomes even more charming. The atmosphere is comfortable, and the service is very attentive and quick in delivering the dishes. The cuisine can be considered high‑level, thanks to the quality of the ingredients, the flavors, and the culinary culture behind it.

The food was delicious and perfectly prepared, but the service was also incredible—attentive, friendly, and professional. You can tell the team here really cares about what they do; the standard is just something else. A 5-star experience from start to finish.

06/12/2025: Very nice and cosy place. Staff is very professional and friendly. Food selection is very good and my personal best is sea food starter for two (unfortunately I didn't take a photo but I'll do it nexttime when I come back). Wine selection of red and white is good and easy to find good wine. Atmosphere is friendly and good place to visit with family or partner. Prices are not low but for service and quality of good reasonable.

14/12/2025: A disappointing second visit. After a fabulous first visit, I booked The Gourmet Food Parlour in Swords again for brunch. Starting with the positives, this is a beautiful space, with lovely decor, ample parking outside and along the street and the food is absolutely gorgeous. However yesterday the service was poor. We gave our order and nobody came back to us until the end when the table was being cleared. We had to call staff to ask for a jug of water, for more drinks, and for the bill at the end. There were quite a few empty tables, so it wasn't as if it was just very busy and that there weren't enough staff. The cocktails are limited, and not tasty so I opted for a failsafe glass of prosecco after the first cocktail. My daughter had the tropical smoothie which tasted like a glass of coconut milk, this was removed from the bill. This was a frustrating visit and I would be hesitant about re-visiting again due to the poor service.

26/11/2025: The food is terrible, Pancakes were reheated in the microwave and weren't homemade, but for the price-they should be. I do Not recommend.

29/11/2025: Breakfast here very nice. Staff very attentive and efficient. Experierance ruined by a very ugly scene where a male manager made a female member of staff, who I saw working extremely hard , cry. Should not be happening . Our table had even commented on how efficient she was. Shame on him.

11/12/2025: Dropped in for lunch here. I had a shepherds pie and my wife had chicken fajitas. Both were really poor. Hardly any chicken in the fajitas and served badly with a couple of cold tortillas on a plate. My shepherds pie was basically a bowl of gravy with meat but little or no mash on top, so it wasn’t really a shepherds pie. Overall really basic and much better choices elsewhere UPDATE: The owner Jackie asked me to call her and we had a good chat. She had reviewed CCTV and agreed standard of food was poor and apologised which was good at least and seemed like she was taking the comments on board positively. She did say that she would send us a voucher to visit again and see if it’s improved but never heard from them again.

11/10/2025: More interested in kicking us out than serving us. While we appreciate that the staff need to go home, being told the second you walk in at 8:45 they close at 10 then reminded every ten minutes is pretty poor tbh.

11/10/2025: Amazing service from our waitress, Sabrina Veríssimo. It was our first visit to the restaurant, and she was very patient explaining the dishes and very kind to our children.

06/12/2025: Great spot for a gorgeous brunch. Where it was possible to have a conversation. Staff lovely too.
