30/04/2025: I was passing by and politely asked if I could use the toilet. I was told in a very rude way that they were “closed,” even though staff were still working in the kitchen and behind the bar. 🚫👎
I completely understand that toilets are for customers only — and I was more than willing to buy a flat white. ☕ But that’s not the way to speak to someone.
Such a shame — this is the first time I’ve experienced something like this in Ireland. 🇮🇪
29/04/2025: Terrible experience… so disappointed as we loved coming here. The Greenery only accept walk-ins for brunch at the weekend. We walked in on Sunday morning looking for a table for 2, we were told it would be 10 minutes. This was no problem but there were lots of free tables, when we enquired we were told those tables were reserved (but you don’t take reservations for brunch….). We then enquired about a table that was free outside and we were told that outside is reserved for customers with dogs…. Ehhh ok. We decided to leave and go elsewhere. When we were outside we noticed 2 tables didn’t appear to have dogs with them. What are you doing??? We will never be back

08/05/2025: Scone was stale. Complained but just acknowledged it. Coffe was fine. Tea was fine. Omelette ok. Poached eggs were ok. Bacon was a bit thick.

Man O'War Traditional Irish Bar & Restaurant
18/05/2025: Great place to eat local food. Good Service. We were 11 people celebrating my girl's First Communion, and the service was wonderful. They gave her a nice card with a present. I will always recommend this place. The food was delicious and in big portions. Happy with everything.
05/05/2025: Great service. Great food. Prawns pil pil in particular were divine as was the calamari. Fast super service. Pleasant and friendly.

03/05/2025: Llegué a la puerta y firme dijo por favor espere a estar sentado. Una señora se acercó y preguntó cuántas personas. Le aconsejé a sus dos personas que cenaran. Nos dio dos menús y señaló una mesa y dijo que era una mesa. La mesa estaba vacía y sucia. La mesa estaba muy cerca de la gente de cada lado y nadie vino a preguntarnos si queríamos una bebida. Después de un tiempo sin atención nos levantamos y nos fuimos. Atención al cliente terrible y frente a la casa poco profesional. Fuimos a otra parte y no volveremos.
11/04/2025: El personal y los propietarios son muy serviciales y amables. Te hacen sentir como en casa. Mi mamá y yo venimos aquí la mayoría de las semanas y la comida siempre se supera a sí misma. La calidad, precio, cantidad y selección es perfecta y siempre me sorprende lo bueno que es. Los chefs han dado en el clavo con perfección. Siento no tener fotos ya que somos demasiado rápidos, pero aquí están nuestros platos vacíos para evidenciar lo bueno que es! Nos vemos la próxima semana chicos

18/05/2025: Nice little spot for a Supermac’s. Staff were excellent. Service was quick. Food was delicious. Only thing I would say was need more napkins. Wasn’t given any and with 3 messy kids you need a lot.

15/10/2024: They have served me food here that's inedible. They have screwed up my orders. They have embarrassed me with an overly loud argument in front of everyone. They have even flirted inappropriately with my partner.
Sure, it looks the part... but I live in Portmarnock and I don't even consider this place as an option anymore.

13/05/2025: The car wash was very busy and closed. Noticed that it was closed after I paid for the service at the gas pump.
Returned back another time, still with long lines. I got a refund as it was expiring soon. The staff in the shop are cooperative, though.
I would love to know the time when it is not too busy.

04/05/2025: Duck legs, duck confit, lamb and monkfish curry were nice, however the rice was hard could have been out of a microwave packet. The most disappointing of all was the pork belly where the crackling normally the best part of the dish, was soft and rubbery making the meat fatty as had not been cooked down, it was served cold together with sides of greens and mash. I must say that this is no reflection on the staff, they are lovely

22/04/2025: If you want to shop for good products this is it ! This store is full of cheese, fruits, vegetables and pastries (and many other things to eat or drink). A bit pricey, but higher quality comes with a price.

The 2 staff on duty just now here in The Pavilions are 6 stars, happily assisting everyone where needed. I was carrying multiple bags, so they brought everything to the table and even a hot water refill.
Well worth the break, and I hope the staff receive some acknowledgement for being so good.
01/10/2024: O'Briens is a guarantee for sandwiches. Always.
We use to go when we have the chance. But in the pavilion is for sure the worst we have been to. It's Tuesday and is not so busy, all the tables are dirty and full of trays with stuff. I moved stuff and cleaned myself to have a seat.
And The girl at the till is absolutely unkind.
I understand working with customers is hard and sometimes a challenge and we all have a day no, but this doesn't allows her to treat people with complacency.
