Just back from a beautiful 2 night stay.
The welcome From Brian as you enter this magnificent hotel is Fabulous.
Brian went out of his way to organise everything and ready looked after us for the weekend.
The food, Drinks and Service was absolutely amazing, Thank you so much John and Karen McDonagh 😀
07/06/2026: We've had an amazing stay in this beautiful and authentic Castle, I can't thank you enough. Brian and all the staff are the real definition of "warm and welcoming", rooms are cozy and comfortable, restaurant with truly high quality menu.
I wish we could stay longer than one night. See you again soon xxx

Arrive early if you want a chance of getting a seat during the live music. A must-see in Clifden.

09/10/2026: Great food, friendly service, unfortunately it was a bit cold in the bar.
22/09/2026: An absolute circus of a place. The food was greasy and practically inedible. The waitress smoked outside, finished her cigarette and then proceeded to serve food and drink without even washing her hands, totally disgustingI would never set a foot inside these premises again. My advice, walk on by!!

we chose to have lunch here because of the great view of the estuary. The view did not disappoint. The staff were great and the food was good. would definitely go back next time we are in clifton.
