20/10/2024: It’s a long time since I had eaten here and I was hoping the food was as good as I remembered….we weren’t disappointed! The service was great - quick and friendly - and the menu had some good choices and a wide variety. Would recommend the homemade chicken curry and spaghetti bolognese in particular! I’m pleased that Cryan’s has maintained its high quality over many years and will be definitely going back there again when we next visit!

04/10/2024: I love this place - great location on the Shannon, the best staff, great sized rooms, and Cryans traditional pub out the back is full of character, with Trad music every week. Every time we visit the Republic (at least once a year), we stay here.

10/04/2025: In Dromahair for a family mass at the local church and booked The Riverbank for luncheon on a lovely Sunday afternoon, what can I say about this place, Jeremy and his staff have you well looked after! The service was excellent and the food was thoroughly enjoyable and scrumptious! The Cod Main Course and the Soup of the Day went down nicely amongst the diners and so did the dessert! All in all, it was a lovely dining experience and The Riverbank Restaurant is truly an award winning place!

16/02/2025: What an unpleasant experience. We were expecting to be seated in the restaurant but were sent downstairs to the bar. We were given a table against the wall next to the toilet access and the door to the kitchen, with a view of the bins. When we politely asked to move we were spoken to very rudely by a staff member who then refused to let us sit at an empty larger table. She said it was booked for a party of 5. We should have left then but we were hungry and so we sat at another small table. Within 15 mins another couple came in and went to sit at a table for 2 but a different staff member offered them the larger table we had been refused. Obviously the party of 5 didnt exist. What dreadful customer service. Our Sunday lunch was ruined by this unpleasant behaviour. The food was average as was the bar itself. We couldn't wait to leave. We will never go there again and will make sure friends and family don't either.

24/03/2025: Amazing menu, fresh innovative and utterly delicious. Delightful selection of desserts and wines. Great for vegetarians or meat eaters alike. Service and ambience was top notch, professional and friendly. One of the best meals for a long time, wonderfully exquisite and a superlative experience.

31/12/2024: I was fortunate to find this hidden Gem in Leitrim, It was very impressive to be given the option of smaller and larger plates, a great selection. I sampled the Baba Ghanoush and the Venison, much to my liking. The service was second to non as with the presentation. Unfortunately I didn’t stay in the rooms this time, will leave that for next time. The wine choice was super. Look forward to coming back soon.
