16/08/2025: You'd struggle to find a better pint of Guinness

22/04/2025: Lively little country pub which is well decorated. Unfortunately when we visited there were 5 young guys sitting at the bar and their language was disgrace. There were women in the bar and a little 5 year old and they should not have been treated to such foul language in almost every sentence. Unfortunately the guy behind the bar must have felt it was acceptable as not once did he ask them to tone it down or refuse to serve them any more drink. The management here really need to step up their game and lay down a few ground rules. Would I return...... No

26/08/2025: We have eaten here quite a few times and the food is consistently fantastic and the service is normally very good too. On our most recent trip when it came to paying, I asked the waitress to round up the bill to include a tip as I was paying by card. She told me that she 'would like to let me know that waiting staff prefer to receive tips as cash because if its on a card they have to pay tax.' She said it was ok this time but she was letting me know for the future..... I can honestly say that this has never been said to me anywhere before. I've worked as a waitress myself and was always appreciative of tips, no matter how they were paid to me.
