20/10/2024: It’s a long time since I had eaten here and I was hoping the food was as good as I remembered….we weren’t disappointed! The service was great - quick and friendly - and the menu had some good choices and a wide variety. Would recommend the homemade chicken curry and spaghetti bolognese in particular!
I’m pleased that Cryan’s has maintained its high quality over many years and will be definitely going back there again when we next visit!
04/10/2024: I love this place - great location on the Shannon, the best staff, great sized rooms, and Cryans traditional pub out the back is full of character, with Trad music every week. Every time we visit the Republic (at least once a year), we stay here.

Riverbank Restaurant
16/02/2025: An unpleasant visit for Sunday lunch. A rude staff member and poor customer service totally spoiled our lunch.
We were given a table by the toilet access and the door to the kitchen. Probably the worst one in the place. There were other nicer tables, but our request to move to a larger one was refused so we had to settle for a different small one. We should have left immediately.
15 mins later, another staff member allowed a couple to sit at the table we had been refused.
What a horrible attitude from the first waitress. She's in the wrong job.
Average food and surroundings.
We won't be back.

31/12/2024: I was fortunate to find this hidden Gem in Leitrim, It was very impressive to be given the option of smaller and larger plates, a great selection. I sampled the Baba Ghanoush and the Venison, much to my liking.
The service was second to non as with the presentation. Unfortunately I didn’t stay in the rooms this time, will leave that for next time. The wine choice was super. Look forward to coming back soon.

13/02/2025: Well me and me Welsh pal arrived after a four hour hike up n back the stairway to heaven to be greeted by the finest Bar maidens I've ever met. Local legends arrived at the bar and were poured pints without asking. The Rugby played and England lost. Met a random asking me to go to Sligo with a drink bought and then the one of the barmaids sang without thinking....I wish I was still there n had me guitar. A fine place to be. The following day we did another hike n went back for food. One of the tastiest cooked all day breakfasts I've had.
24/12/2024: Just OK. Lighting in main dining area would take the eye out of your head.

03/07/2024: The restaurant was great, the food was fantastic, the service was insanely good our waitress was ANDA and she was one of the best waiters in all of Ireland, we much appreciated your service! The atmosphere was good and calm.

13/07/2024: Christ stopped at Eboli. Culture stopped at the door to the pub. Food stopped at the microwave. Cleaning stopped at the bar. The bar lady, God bless her, had never heard of rosé wine. "We have red or white" I would prefer rosé. "What is rosé?" It's kind of halfway between red and white. "No, we don't have that". Children stopped in front of the big screen TV watching football, at least half a team's worth. Apart from that, happy donkeys (not actually a dish on the menu by the way).
24/06/2024: No locks on the toilet door which is bizarre, got a carvery to take away and was given my food on children's paper party plates covered in foil
Frozen veg and way seemed like microwave beef and chicken
Charged 12.50 for a plate of frozen chips and a couple goujons for a kid madness for a small town

26/10/2024: Booked a table. Arrived nothing available. Waited while they basically apologised but made no effort. Left had I not turned up for a booking I would have been guilty
30/07/2024: stayed in a tent in the campsite. The location is lovely and picturesque. Bar is on-site and large covered patio is somewhere to go if it rains. Clean toilets and shower area.
The negatives are that there was no one 'in charge'. Children shouting and making noise at 12 oclock at night. No kitchen facilities only a sink, not even a fridge. Site is quite wet, even in July. This is more suited for caravans/motor homes.
