03/02/2026: Had a nice birthday dinner a while back. One of the best salmon dishes I've had in a long time. And the champ potatoes hit the spot.
Kid friendly. My son now enjoys burgers after having one here.
Servers were very welcoming and friendly.
Will return on my next trip to Ballina.
25/01/2026: Do you know when you go to a different town and you are a little tired and dishevelled? We booked in here for the two of us on short notice. Girl on the phone was lovely on the phone and in person. We were made to feel very welcome which is in my opinion the most important part of any restaurant. Food was excellent and very good value for the portions. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the town. It deserves the reviews.

He wasn’t just great at his job — he was the highlight of our entire stay. The hotel is lucky to have him, and we’ll be back largely because of him!

25/01/2026: If you know you know , what a hidden gem. The food is outstanding every time we go. Better than the cobble or the quays hands down. I’ve left Killala for Yorkshire but we still fly over for a night in Ballina and the square is our first stop before a rake of ale. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

We stayed at this hotel while holding a memorial for my beloved sister, and I truly cannot put into words how much comfort and kindness we received during such a painful time. The hotel’s central location was perfect, and the rooms were always warm, cozy, and immaculately clean—exactly what we needed.
Breakfast each morning was excellent, with many delicious options offered daily, and the dining staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating to my food allergies, which meant so much to me.
We have stayed here many times over the years and always loved it, but this visit was exceptional. The compassion shown to us will never be forgotten. The hotel manager, Edel, was professional, kind, and genuinely compassionate, going above and beyond to support us on short notice. Her leadership truly shows in her amazing staff—Chloe was wonderful,, kind and professional maureen the server had outstanding service accommodating all of us especially with food allergies
This hotel will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We are deeply grateful to everyone who made a very difficult time a little easier.
