05/01/2025: Outstanding experience. Food so good and service very friendly. Portions were massive and prices very reasonable. Would go back anytime. Great job!

03/01/2025: Gorgeous food. I had the hummus toast with chickpeas and avocado, it was delicious. My partner had bbq wings and sweet potato fries which were lovely too. Coffee was great. Staff were 10/10 and so friendly. Would highly recommend this place.

27/12/2024: The Willows bar is near Glen of the Downs Exit 10 on the N11 Nice bar several areas for eating & a restaurant. Food is varied and is served hot. Theres no sign for this bar on the Djouce side & as it's the only restaurant around kilmacanague after Roundwood a new sign is warranted.

29/12/2024: Lovely evening for a group. Food was excellent, service is what would keep you coming back, Avinash in particular looked after a large group (16! :) beautifully!

27/12/2024: Attended a family wedding. Lovely greeting to all the guests by the owner, despite the extreme weather conditions. Room was very spacious and comfortable. However, the bathroom wallpaper was overlooked during cleaning as a bird (I hope) left its mark on the wallpaper. I imagine it’s one of the hazards of that room. Wedding dinner was okay, however huge delays between courses and even though information was passed on re dietary requirements, the waiter was not aware of this. They were looked after but it was very fragmented. The house itself is fabulous and offers so much to anyone staying that little bit longer. Very advisable to prepare for your wedding there as there are a few nice surprises especially for the men along the way. Most of the staff were so attentive and hard working, that was and is much appreciated. Thank you! Best of luck for the coming season and New Year!

14/01/2025: What a cute place in an out of the way part of Ireland. First the sign on the hill is hilarious! The shop inside has some really nice items and some wonderful local are. As with all the restaurants we visited in Ireland, they are very accommodating to people with Gluten sensitivity. The selection was nice and they know those on tours need to get in and get out. Great place. You can't go wrong here. We were on a tour with Mark Doherty and Connect the Dots Tours of Ireland (you can't go wrong with Mark either)!

14/01/2025: Been here a few times now, it's always been pretty packed, food is good but I usually need to eat 2 different types of breakfast 🥞🍳 to be full, prices are o k for what you are getting, I do think they breakfast menu is the way to go and the do all day breakfast, coffee is good, parking is in around the back of across the road,

30/12/2024: Went for Sunday lunch because we were kindly given a gift voucher for Christmas from our Son in Law. I was shocked to learn that what we spent off the voucher Horan’s emailed him to let him know. If someone gives you a gift voucher I’m sure they don’t want to know when u spent it. This practice is totally rude and unprofessional. If this is their policy do not purchase gift vouchers.

06/11/2024: We just had lunch here for the first time in ages . It was delicious fresh hot and very tasty . The prawn dish is a must . The wings never disappoint and the steak sandwich i didnt even get a picture before he had it gone .

24/01/2025: Lovely starters but went downhill after that.. unfortunately our “specials board” rib-eye steaks were inedible, could hardly cut them let alone eat them. Also the Eton mess was not good - tiny bits of meringue and too much cream, could do a lot better! The crème brûlée were v nice. We were offered to have different mains but as were part of a birthday party group and didn’t want fuss, we declined and just ate the sides. Disappointed with the food as was looking forward to a special night out.

So my appologies to proprietor. I had a lovely experience in the West. I pop in occassionaly for a cheese toastie and tea. The staff are lovely and I complement the tea. 🫖☕️ Many thanks to Ian, the manager for giving me a takaway paper cup full of their famous tea bags. Kind regards. 🥪🍟

02/01/2025: We ordered 2 cappuccinos with an extra shot and not chocolate sprinkles and it came to 10euro. I think they need to look at their pricing policy. Also the coffees were served with sprinkles so they dropped the ball there.

31/12/2024: Where do I start. No soap in bathrooms so they gave us the one from the kitchen hence no soap in kitchen. I saw one of the waitresses eat a chip from a customer's plate before taking it out. Cheap food and bad hygiene. Do not go.
