13/03/2025: We were desperately searching for food options in the Wicklow Mountains, having mostly come across cafes serving burgers and pizza. Craving something more substantial, we stumbled upon this cafe. The vibe was distinctly small-town, and the cafe seemed to be a popular spot with locals. We ordered a full Irish breakfast and a vegan breakfast, which, by the way, is difficult to find; hardly any cafes offer vegan options. The coffee wasn't great, but that's alright. The iced coffee, however, was good. The view from the restaurant was also lovely. It's a sweet little place in the Wicklow Mountains, and if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely visit. Prices are non expensive.

17/03/2025: Dinny is an absolute gentleman and he and his colleagues work tirelessly to ensure everyone is looked after.
My wife can’t eat dairy or red meat so Dinny came to the table (as she’d only ordered chips) to bring her some vegetables and roast chicken so she wouldn’t be hungry.
His kindness and attention to customers is something else.

The Dining Room at Rathsallagh

22/01/2025: Rooms were a bit dated and some had wallpaper coming off the walls in places, few bathrooms still had carpet on the floors. Small corrodors throughout the accommodation although the hotel itself is very old. It looks like a good option for a wedding although it wasn't the aesthetic we were looking for. Fantastic location as it's well out of the way. If the rooms had a revamp it would be a fantastic place.
14/01/2025: I had the pleasure of photogarphing Ellen & Paul's wedding at Rathsallagh House - What an experience from start to finish. These guys really know how to run a good show from start to finish! Every direction you turn there are opportunities for photographs!
I can't wait to work here again soon!

24/03/2025: The food that each of us got was exceptional. I have eaten here many times, but the food has definitely gone up a level. My food was so tasty and large generous portion, but looking at the plates of food my other family members had ordered, I was jealous as it looked so tasty and they confirmed it was. Can’t compliment the food enough. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and accommodating.

Good food.
My wife and I ordered curry, chicken burger and wings.
The curry was good but the chicken was not what you would expect in a curry, it was tough.
The burger was great, a bit dry and the chicken was a bit tough but the buns were unforgettable.
The wings were disappointing, they were overcooked until the meat and bones were crunchy, it was not tasty and unpleasant. The sauce was thin, not worth eating.
25/03/2025: Group of 6. Beef roast and burgers - both delicious. One of my friends had a birthday and I just asked the staff to put a candle on a cake and had no idea that 5 of them will come to the terrace and sing “Happy Birthday”, it was such a nice surprise. Brilliant! Will definitely come back. 👏🏼

Need to have the salad etc on display as impossible to guess what they have without seeing it
No menus on table and have to order and pay before you sit down
Super friendly and chatty staff who had a good laugh about me saying about all the Manchester United stuff
Wouldn't rush back but it's grand if you wanted ordinary food

There were a lot of guests.
The place has many booths, which creates a sense of intimacy and separation, making it intimate. The decor is very coherent and nice.

31/01/2025: Great fish bar/restaurant. Friendly service. The chowder is absolutely delicious. There menu has all the usuals, burgers (saw one on another table, it looked great), fish & chips and lots more. But there is also a separate blackboard with a long list of fish dishes. Great Beamish too! It isn't cheap - but it is good value.
