01/11/2024: Absolutely adorable little cafè. Olde world charm amidst a backdrop of lush green fields, forestry and mountains. Beautifully Irish captured in time. One could travel the world over and would be hard pressed to find a gem like this. Pure class. ♥️

The Wild Goose

Bray
02/11/2024: Beautiful bar with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu offers a fantastic selection, with great value at around €25 for three courses. Portions were generous, but, unfortunately, the food quality fell short – we found it lacked flavor and didn’t quite meet expectations.
18/10/2024: Excellent food, great pint and great atmosphere.

Moody Rooster Café

Blessington
22/10/2024: I was taking a short work break but needed to some sustenance as I had skipped breakfast. I walked in, was waves to be a waitress who brought me to a table. Was given a menu within seconds. I ordered a custom breakfast within a minute and it arrived in the time it takes me to poach an egg. The service is unnaturally good. The food was perfect. I loved the toast which is made from really thick sliced bread. Doesn't seem to have any gluten in it otherwise I'd be more bloated than a politician during an election. The atmosphere was chilled. Given the architecture you'd expect a lot of noise batista sounds but these folks seemed to have that nonsense covered. I highly recommend.
22/09/2024: Have been regulars for a number of years.Been great on the past but not today.Disappointed, considering the past experience while we both us rollators we have been well looked after in the past. While today when we were there it was not as full as usual but found some staff running around, for effect don't know if there was bosses spot checking but? We are of an age and income that we share meal sometimes never a problem before but today.Problem with ordering and service normally would have extras but sorry,,today we just wanted to pay and go.We would normally leave a tip. Only tip today is breathe, regroup atget back to looking after the small customers without them as well as other customers Tills stop ringing and doors close. Please don't let that happen.

The Hungry Monk

Greystones
21/10/2024: Delicious Sunday lunch. A treat as it is quite expensive. Service is always great and food is always great! Chicken supreme Andalusia and duck salad were lovely. Chocolate brownie special was fabulous and also creme brulee! Restaurant could have been slightly warmer. Starter prawns weren’t fantastic. The bathrooms are so cool and love the decor. We have been coming for years.

28/10/2024: I had my first Irish Guinness on tap at West Wicklow House. We have it on tap in the states but it doesn’t compare to Ireland. The food was absolutely delicious, so we ate here multiple times while in Blessington. Great service and atmosphere, can’t wait to visit again!
28/10/2024: Cozy pub where you can also eat well, on a Monday!

01/10/2024: Travelling up from Waterford to Dublin and stopped off in Wicklow and liked the look of this place as a local small town cafe with freshly prepared food. It was full so was going to sit out but as ordering a table came free. Three of us had baguettes , sandwich and drinks at came to just over 20 euro. The food was lovely and generous helpings added to which we had a very warm welcome Thank you

Hunter's Hotel

03/11/2024: In my mind Ireland has lost so many things of beauty over the decades, but Hunters hotel has not changed since my first visit over 50 years ago. Having been brought there for my birthday luncheon where everything was every bit as good as I expected, even the weather which meant an enjoyable walk round the unique gardens. While enjoying today's Sunday luncheon with relations, it dawned on me how nice if a group of actors could arrive and sit down at an opposite table in period costume and act as though they were part of a Mrs Marpole drama. Especially as the perfect atmosphere is in this wonderful timewarp of a place, to have a number such enactments during the year.
02/11/2024: It's lovely like visiting your granny it even smells like grannies
