The best restaurantsof italian in Dublin

05/01/2026: Interesting little restaurant, it's all run by one guy solo. Book via WhatsApp. Delicious carbonara which I've found really hard to find in Dublin. Ragu and tiramisu also top notch. Very good value for money, I'd say he could easily up by prices by a few Euro a dish and it would still be good value. I'll be back to try the risotto next time.

The atmosphere is cozy and beautiful, perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal. The service was outstanding — *Dima and David* were wonderful, extremely attentive, friendly, and professional. They made us feel very welcome from start to finish. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be back!

17/01/2026: Wow! What a let down. What started off as a lovely warm reception turned into a nightmareish ordeal. Can't fault the pizzas they were 10/10. How we were treated as paying customers I will never forget..10 minutes after our order our pizzas were slapped down in front of us..20 minutes later asked if we wanted dessert, we rejected the desserts as we had half a bottle of wine to get through. 10minutes later the bill was shoved in our faces and we were told we can relax for 15mins but must leave. On the button the bar boy came out grabbed our bottle of wine and asked us to hurry up we need to clear the table and poured the wine on the table missing the glass. No apology , picked up the glass and continued to pour while telling us to drink quickly the next guests are waiting..the restaurant was not full..nobody was waiting..and another waiter came over and ushed us out . 1.5 hours is all you're allowed here apparently. If seated upstairs be aware that the staff do not respect the customers as they roar at each other and blare Kaiser chiefs and red hot chili peppers and treat their workplace as if they have their mates over in their parents house while they're away. Will not return to this poorly run kip

02/01/2026: Cannot fault the food or the staff. Lovely experience. Book well in advance. Very popular spot. A pint in Slattery’s across the road before or after recommended.

23/12/2025: Nice decor, we sat at the high chairs but there are couches and window seats too. Solid wine list and friendly, attentive service with no feeling of being rushed. Playlist was okay; I mean, Glue by Bicep is undoubtedly an all time classic but not sure it's really dinner music. Tostadas were brilliant. Pork chop was truly, truly, awesome.

18/12/2025: I had the shared menu at Host Restaurant. Got absolutely delighted with the pappardelle ragu, Hannan’s salt-aged rib eye absolutely delicious and well made! Pumpkin cappellacci, walnut & sage is an explosion of flavours. I don’t know how, but I’ll try to reproduce it at home, and the burnt ricotta cheesecake just made me feel speechless! It was such a good time that I had there with my bf to celebrate my bday! Can’t wait to go back!

06/01/2026: We were a bit late to reserve a table, but we ordered 2 very tasty stone oven Neapolitan pizza’s (Capricciosa and Margherita) for takeaway! It was perfectly on time. Both the toppings and the dough was divine! It was rich and thin. The price was very reasonable as well. Yummy!

26/12/2025: Great cocktails! Quite bad service (consistently bad across all 4 people that attended us). Since the moment we arrived they reminded us that we had only less than 1h30.. I was joking that we send more time being reminded about the time left than enjoying our drinks 😢. Chery on the cake they give the bill 20 mins before the end of our slot.

08/01/2026: For me personally a hidden local perl with amazing authentic Italian food and great service! Was a bit cold, and rough interior but fitting the experience and the food quality compensates everything the location might not provides.

05/01/2026: Food was incredible, really small menu but everything was perfect. We were the first ones in there on a Monday, 2 adults a toddler and a baby. They made my young daughter pasta with butter and cheese, whilst me and my husband had a gorgeous dinner and a bottle of wine. It’s not set up for children being a small place but they made us feel incredibly welcome and the food was very worth it. An absolute must visit in Dublin for me. 10/10

06/12/2025: Excellent range of coffees including complex filter coffees. Quiet and secluded. Hard to not be tempted by their delicious cakes and buns. Warm friendly service. Wish it was bigger but that’s part of the appeal too. My fav coffee shop on Galway bar none.

28/11/2025: These guys know what they’re doing. Excellent latte that had no need for sugar or syrup. I even picked up a bag of the same beans used in their espresso. My wife tried their ube matcha and it was also delightful.

04/01/2026: It's a disgrace. After crossing the city to have dinner at this place, when we arrived they told us they were closing and that they were very sorry. I told them that I had made a reservation for 10 pm on their website and that I had the confirmation, I showed it to them and they said okay, but that they close at 10 pm and cannot serve us.

01/01/2026: Came in for a meal for NYE. Booked in advance for the meal at 8. Big group so we assumed we would have the table for at least two hours. No where in the booking does it mention we had to leave at 9 and on arrival we were told we had to leave at 9. We were rushed by the staff to order and eat our food and then taking plates while people were still eating. The atmosphere was not pleasant due to the staff trying to rush us all and get us out the door. If you don’t want to have a big booking on NYE don’t accept or make it very clear what time we will need to leave at before hand. Wouldn’t recommend.

18/01/2026: Everything was excellent !! the food, the atmosphere, and the service. Our waitress from Mongolia was incredibly kind and welcoming. You can really feel the quality and care in everything they do. Such a lovely place. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
