The best restaurantsof italian in Dublin

31/12/2024: I've never had a dining experience like this. It feels as if you're stepping into the home of the chef. The chef does everything, he's a one man team and offers a service that nowhere else is offering. It's the best Italian food I've ever had. Particularly the goats cheese pasta and tiramisu. If you're in Dublin and looking for good Italian food or a dining experience unlike anything else, I cannot recommend this more. I personally cannot wait to go back.

06/01/2025: We are here during our stay in Dublin and the food was wonderful. I don't think we had a reservation so sat upstairs and not in the better celler area.

05/01/2025: 6 of us ate and drank here and we all enjoyed it immensly. The food is great, the downstairs 'cavern' is fab and the service was perfect. The menu must have used Chat GPT for the dish descriptions which were very flowery.

17/01/2025: When ordering we asked for chips and the waiter responded confused so we said fries cause not everyone uses the word chips, fair enough they don’t have chips that’s okay, our mistake, we just don’t order them and moved on. As soon as the waitress left her and her colleagues proceeded to complain and laugh about us in front of our faces and LOUD, “just because you change the word doesn’t mean we’re gonna have them” how rude wth??? they were very nice to our faces which would’ve been good service had they not just stood and slatted us with only a glass window separating us. I understand customers are difficult sometimes and you’d like to vent it out but like come on at least be somewhat aware of your surroundings. other than the waitresses, the man that let us in early was really kind for that and the food was good but that moment ruined the vibe for us 🤷🏽‍♀️

03/12/2024: Fantastic meal for our group of 6 to celebrate a birthday. Sean and all of the Host team looked after us so well and were super helpful to cater for our dietary requirements. Pasta courses, steak and all desserts were to die for!

14/01/2025: I recently dined at Ristorante Bar Italia in the heart of Dublin, and it was a delightful experience! The cozy atmosphere and authentic Italian decor immediately made me feel at home. I was particularly impressed by the freshness of the ingredients. The pasta "cacio e pepe" and "fiumicino" was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were rich and satisfying. Kevin, the waiter, was friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming vibe of the restaurant. Highly recommended!

17/01/2025: Last night we had the worse experience ever dining out.. our table was in front of the bar were Manager Pablo was constantly there and passing by so he could see us perfectly! we ordered and the starter came in 5’ - we ate “quick” but then 25-30’ later with no One taking the plates I asked him how long more will take the pasta and then very rudely removed the plates saying “Oh we were waiting for you to finish - but no one checked on us in 30’ and then he came with the pasta banging the plates on the tables with bad face and constantly looking at us trying to make us feel uncomfortable/intimidate? HORRIBLE experience! DONT KNOW HOW IS HE MANAGER WITH THAT ATTITUDE AND NONE MANAGER SKILLS AT ALL!

14/01/2025: Favourite Italian restaurant outside Italy - menu has a reasonable variety of pizza and non pizza options, fluffy Neapolitan base, excellent service, what’s not to like!

04/01/2025: The staff here is incredibly friendly, and this is evident in every customer who walks in. I had a wonderful conversation about local coffee. Little Lane Coffee Company is passionate about showcasing local roasters and enjoys doing so. Thanks, team! ✌️✌️

31/12/2024: Very small and lovely cafe. I passed by by chance and stopped for a hot drink. I had an American coffee and a slice of cake whose name I don't remember. American in line with other places, heavy cake compared to our desserts but very good. The cookie was special. I recommend it, they have many sweets and treats. Too bad I didn't have time to try their teas. Fair prices.

10/12/2024: Domenico has run great restaurants which we have been visiting for over 30 years, Mulino has been in Raheny for a good many years now and serves his trademark dishes of mozzarella filled meatballs, saltimbocca, Milanese chicken, risottos. And a great tiramisu. All served with the owner's own brand of pzazz! Highly recommended

15/12/2024: Habíamos estado esperando esto durante bastante tiempo como difícil de conseguir una reserva en este restaurante promedio inexplicablemente ocupado. Llegamos 5 minutos antes y nos dieron nuestra mesa por un camarero malhumorado. Luego tuvimos que buscar servicio 🙄 para conseguir agua y luego de nuevo para una copa de vino! Llega nuestra agua y rápidamente elegimos una principal y mordisqueamos El nivel de ruido es extremadamente alto. Nuestra aceituna es agradable, nuestra principal era promedio. Pido una segunda copa de vino que llenó con el fondo del sedimento de la botella 🤨. En general, una experiencia bastante pobre yo diría. Hay mejores restaurantes italianos en Dublín. Muy decepcionante experiencia.

10/12/2024: We booked online for a family group midweek in November. As per Oliveto restaurant website there was a lunch menu option from 12pm to 3pm Monday to Friday with 1 course for 20 euros, 2 courses for 25 euros & 3 courses for 30 euros. However when we arrived we were handed an "A la carte menu" & to our surprise was told that recently the lunch menu no longer applied, despite what the website stated. The "A la carte" main course now ranged from 24 to 40 euros/ starters or "small plates" from 10 to 22 euros/ desserts from 7 to 15 euros which is a big price increase from the expected lunch menu! Also in small print on the bottom of the menu it is stated that "a 10% charge applies to all our tables and is paid directly to our staff" which is unclear if this is automatically applied to the bill-which was the case, This should be stated more clearly that this 10% service charge is applied automatically to the bill as lots of other tables seemed to be confused & also left tips behind on the tables. Lastly when booking online under the "terms & conditions" there is a 30 euro charge per person mentioned if a booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the booked time-this is rather steep with a 2 days cancellation notice required. Change in plans & emergencies do happen! Overall it is a nice location but over priced for what was supposed to be a lunch menu & the portion size that were served, it was unclear that the service charge automatically applied to the bill & there was a real sting in the tail in the online booking "terms & conditions" with a cancellation required within 24 hours of the booked time or else pay 30 euros per person! I will think twice before going again.

08/12/2024: Definitely will go back. This is a lovely setting for a restaurant in a hotel which has been on this spot for many years.Comfortable and nice bar ,the restaurant is open,noisy but the food is excellent and tasteful.I will go back.
