08/07/2026: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have been here a few times. Dining here doesn’t feel like going to a restaurant – it truly feels like being welcomed into someone’s home. The pasta is absolutely divine, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The tiramisu, made from the owner’s grandmother’s recipe, is unforgettable – rich, delicate, and filled with tradition. Most of all, the owner treats every guest with such warmth and kindness that you feel more like a friend than a customer. A truly special experience that I’ll treasure and recommend to anyone. 👉 Just remember to make a reservation with the owner on WhatsApp in advance!

29/06/2026: For our final night in Ireland, my wife and I made reservations at Host in Dublin and decided to try the Chef’s Menu for Two. It ended up being one of the best dining experiences of our trip. We paired the meal with a bottle of Luis Seabra Xisto white wine, which was excellent. To start, we enjoyed the burrata with peaches and the shiitake mushroom arancini. The burrata was fresh and creamy, while the arancini was perfectly fried with a rich, comforting flavor. Our pasta course featured the Pumpkin Cappellacci with walnut and sage and the Pappardelle with lamb shoulder ragu. Both were outstanding, but the pumpkin cappellacci was our favorite. The highlight of the evening was the pork chop with mushroom gravy, fried potatoes with aioli, and a fresh tomato salad. It was hands down the best pork chop either of us has ever had—perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor. To finish, we had the tiramisu, which somehow managed to top everything else. We both agreed it was the best tiramisu we’ve ever eaten. From the exceptional food to the attentive service, Host delivered what was arguably the best meal of our entire trip. If you’re visiting Dublin, this restaurant is an absolute must. We can’t wait to come back.

25/06/2026: I had such a lovely night at Host. Great food... Trust me actually Great. Everything was delicious. Staff was friendly, professional and made our night even better. There are not many places like this in Dublin. I would highly recommended it for a special date night.

07/07/2026: Awful place and Careless staff Avoid this place. I sat waiting for 45 minutes trying to place our food order through their app, but the app was completely broken and would not work.When I went inside to alert the staff, they just gave me lame excuses and handed me a physical menu instead of actually taking my order. Even after that, I still couldn't get any assistance to place the order, and the staff didn't even bother to come back over or check on us.We were ignored for nearly an hour because of a broken tech system and unhelpful staff. I ended up leaving without eating a single thing. Absolutely terrible customer service.

21/05/2026: My wife and I visited last night for a quick dinner before a concert. I'm so glad we booked! It's very busy and having visited, I can see why. There's nothing not to like. It's cosy, staff are lovely and the food was amazing. My wife had the Gambas pasta dish. Loads of prawns and cooked without chili as requested. I had a pizza from the specials board. Dessert was an amazing tiramisu which we couldn't finish. Given the quality of the food, we think it represents great value. We will certainly visit again, but I wish it was closer to home so we could visit often!

18/05/2026: We were bunch of hungry shouldy who has landed in Dublin and for the love of good food came in to Paulies Oh boy it truly lives up to its expectations. The vegetarian pizzas were savored more at our table for the freshness of the ingredients and the taste. The starters were great too and the tiramisu at the end was a treat. The service was great and the hosts were very gentle and helpful. All in all it was great experience

13/05/2026: Only thing I didn't totally love, is it's a very small restaurant, so I felt like I was sitting on the person next to me (not at my table). Food was authentic and delicious. Staff was friendly and it had that family owned vibe which is my favorite!

14/05/2026: came to celebrate my wedding anniversary, and what was meant to be a memorable night ended up being incredibly disappointing to say the least. the food was average at best, and the service… the service was nothing short of terrible. we spent most of the evening waiting for someone to attend us and when the server finally took notice in us they were ridiculously rude and standoffish. never coming back.

18/05/2026: I really enjoyed my meal here, staff were very accommodating and managed to seat us even though we hadn't book (I would book though). It's an actual Italian rather than a Italian thats changed it menu to meet the needs of the tourists who pretend their Italian. Don't order the Guinness.

21/05/2026: My wife liked the truffle pizza, my daughter liked the pizza but didn't like having to cut it herself, they need to buy a pizza slicer. My ragu was ok.

08/02/2026: I have never finished a pizza before.. ever..before tonight ! The pizza here is incredible! Freshly cooked with authentic toppings, no chain restaurant crap here. Options of 10 inch (I had) or 12 inch which Would be sharing. A very basic restaurant with a very special vibe , it’s like sitting in your granny’s 💗 basic menu but food cooked fresh and to perfection .. original paintings from his daughter adorn the walls … we will be back!
