The best restaurantsof italian in Dublin

07/12/2025: I rarely leave reviews, but this place is a real gem! Best Italian restaurant in Dublin I would say! Discovered it by coincidence even though I am living next door. Visited twice and both were amazing experiences. I tried there steak, pizza, and pasta. All were great, and the tagliatelle with chicken and wild mushroom is highly recommended!

18/10/2025: Very helpful manager. Accommodated us in spite of our delay. Food good. Service excellent

16/12/2025: Foods ok. Not fab but its not terrible. They stopped doing the taco potato an that was prob 1 of the nicest things on thier menu!

06/12/2025: I used to have a 5 star review, their baked potatoes where one of my go to meals, but recently they have made some changes making it smaller and less ingredients please check the pictures of what it used to look like vs what it looks like now, making a product smaller or cheaper isn’t the way to cut costs, its a sure way to loose customers…

26/11/2025: I was a bit skeptical about trying this place after reading some of the reviews, but we needed a quick dinner and decided to give it a shot. We ordered the Deluxe Kebab Doner and a veg pizza, and both tasted excellent. The kebab was especially good—flavorful, generous in portion. It exceeded our expectations and really suited our taste buds. We did a takeaway, and while the food was great, the service staff felt a bit nonchalant and unwelcoming. Still, for the kebabs alone, I’d definitely go back!

05/06/2025: The Melon Martini cocktail was overly sweet and lacked balance. On the bright side, the appetizer—a goat cheese tartine with fig and prosciutto—was outstanding: flavorful, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The cod was cooked to the right texture but unfortunately quite bland. The pancetta dish also leaned too sweet, and the accompanying cream lacked depth of flavor. The Garden Room itself is bright and airy with a lovely view, and the staff were excellent—attentive and welcoming.

14/12/2025: Went in on Saturday after a day out with my daughter and grandson got a table straight away which was dirty, 2 waitresses on one folding napkins and other on her phone the owner came over with a cloth to clean table beside me then after asking he cleaned ours, after 10 mins of noone coming near us my daughter went to bar ordered a drink and got 2 bar menus, I had to call waitress who was still standing behind bar to take our order she said there would be a slight delay, I'd said fine. After an hour of sitting there my grandson was getting agitated from waiting around, not once were we asked would we like another drink or told that our food would be ready soon nothing, the table beside us ordered food and 15mins after ordering theirs was put in front of them I got up told waitress to cancel order she asked what happened I explained she said 2 mins food, we only ordered pasta for 3 of us not a hard dish, as I stood putting my coat on the tray with food was brought over I sat no baby's food I asked she went off 5 mins later brought his, we ate and left, never again, food wasn't great and the waitresses should be trained properly service was brutal

10/12/2025: Very very expensive one staff member young girl was very forgetful not a bit friendly, my chilli tacos were stale my sons turkey ham dinner was just ok but toilets were shockingly filthy no loo roll no soap , they don’t cater for kids girl gave us chalk and a betting docket to draw on 🙄 all in all a grubby dirty pub never again

05/12/2025: Staff were nice and friendly. Food was disappointing and overpriced. The ragu pasta was tasted like it was the 1e tesco pasta and tomato sauce. 2 stars because the staff were nice, otherwise just 1. chicken and chips were okay.

03/11/2025: As I was in the area again a year later, still nice staff very helpful, one of the best places in Dublin for onion rings! Changed coffee brand lovely rich blend

28/07/2025: Absolutely magnificent restaurant experience at Sands Mediterranean in Clontarf. The food here is to die for...we ordered the best Frutti di Mare pizza ever with the most delicious seafood toppings, the wonderful baked hake with pasta and the freshly battered fish and chips. The garlic pizza starter went down a treat and the triple cooked chips and garlic mayo are superb. Mick and his staff are the best and so welcoming and accommodating. This was another really top notch dining experience and I highly recommend putting Sands Mediterranean on your list of restaurants to try in Clontarf. 5 stars all day long!

16/08/2025: High quality chipper. I don't usually get much take away but feel less guilty because the quality and taste is always amazing here.

11/11/2025: Staff take over 10 mins to give you just 1 bag of chips when the shop is empty and the portion they give you for the price is absolutely outrageous. Go 2 mins down the road to San Marino you get way more value for money.

16/11/2025: First review I have ever made on google but I just had too because of how terrible and disgusting this place is….and the employees really are disgusting people….. This place is terrible, if I could give it 0 stars I would. First I ordered off their website which allows you to pay online, I show up and they said their website closed at 2pm (it allows you to pay and order online at all hours). Secondly, after they agreed to make my order the staff comes out and starts throwing garbage onto the street, literally kicking coke cans and throwing beers onto the road. On top of this the food really sucks, it tastes like crap, it’s all frozen fried crap, and they smother it in sauce that tastes like it’s weeks old. I won’t even bring up how sick I felt only taking a few bites. Stay away…… and if you go and get food poisoning like I did I tried to warn you…

13/11/2025: Good tasty food when cooked properly and for long enough. Have had during the day and it's been a bit disappointing and undercooked, great during the evening though, the younger lads in the evening seem to care more for customer satisfaction.

07/12/2025: We went to sabatini/ Bombay pantry on Saturday night I booked a week in advance 2 tables of 7, I then went into confirm the reservation and only one table was booked. We were sat waiting 50 minutes to order drinks, the girl serving us wasn’t very friendly. I asked twice to order drinks we were still left waiting I had to go up to the bar to ask her can we order drinks, no apology just I’ll be over now. Half of the drinks came out and half of them were forgotten. It then came down in a can no glass or ice. We were waiting 1 hour and half for the main we didn’t order any starters. We got an apology after for the bad service saying they were understaffed but it was the worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant. Food was 10/10 though

08/11/2025: This is an Italian run by Indians to preface my post. We were brought upstairs to a larger room that is similar to the upstairs of a 2002 pub. No atomosphere, harsh lighting. No candles on the table, not even a salt and pepper shaker. Toilets are disgusting. The stairs was filthy as was the restaurant floor. Staff forgetting to bring glasses for drinks. I felt like they had just bought the restaurant that day and didn’t bother doing anything with it, just opened it to the public! The downstairs room looks beautiful and looked clean but was reserved for people ordering Indian food. Chips were pockets of grease. Would not return.
