12/04/2026: Really lovely place. I just took my daughter here for a quick lunch having never been before. It was fabulous. Excellent pizza - so fresh, and piping hot. For those of us in the area who might’ve missed a local Italian I can highly recommend it if you haven’t tried it before. The staff by the way were just so friendly and available. We’ll be back.

28/07/2025: Absolutely magnificent restaurant experience at Sands Mediterranean in Clontarf. The food here is to die for...we ordered the best Frutti di Mare pizza ever with the most delicious seafood toppings, the wonderful baked hake with pasta and the freshly battered fish and chips. The garlic pizza starter went down a treat and the triple cooked chips and garlic mayo are superb. Mick and his staff are the best and so welcoming and accommodating. This was another really top notch dining experience and I highly recommend putting Sands Mediterranean on your list of restaurants to try in Clontarf. 5 stars all day long!

09/01/2026: Very nice service, quick and done very well, charming too. If you’re looking for a quieter place with enough room to not have your shoulder touching your neighboring table, it’s a nice place! Edwin was such a lovely server too, very friendly and attentive.

14/04/2026: Worse, it was the worst fast food I've ever had in my life. The bread was like chewing gum, there wasn't a single edible item, even though I ordered fries and a sausage. I've never seen a sausage with so little flavor, and they don't even accept cash.

11/11/2025: Staff take over 10 mins to give you just 1 bag of chips when the shop is empty and the portion they give you for the price is absolutely outrageous. Go 2 mins down the road to San Marino you get way more value for money.

19/03/2026: Yet again I asked for a bag of their. "Freshly made chips" and got a bag of deep fried mush (again!!) . They aren't capable of producing properly cooked chips so hold onto your money or go to San Marino down the road and see what real chips are supposed to be.

03/01/2026: I would like to concur with a previous review. This is not an authentic Italian Restaurant. This is a restaurant that is run by Indian people who run a restaurant on the ground floor of the same building called The Bombay Pantry. Our experience here from start to finish was terrible. We were brought upstairs to the restaurant in a big open area where there was about 12 other people. The menu was basic and there were two young girls serving. We got wine and had to ask for water. The food arrived, two pasta dishes and was not great and went cold very quickly. Neither of us finish our meal. From the time we were served until we got up and left no one came to our table to see were we ok. Not even to clear our dishes. We had to place the dishes on the table next to us. No one asked us if we wanted dessert. There was a couple beside us and had ordered their main course before we had arrived and as we left over an hour or so later had not received it. From what we could see it was the same for everybody. The ladies toilet had no toilet tissue the gents hadn't a latch on the door. Sadly the two young staff were out of their depth. It was the closest thing to an episode of Fawlty Towers Please avoid at all cost. This is not an Italian Restaurant. And nothing positive to say about it. It doesn't even deserve one star.

05/12/2025: Staff were nice and friendly. Food was disappointing and overpriced. The ragu pasta was tasted like it was the 1e tesco pasta and tomato sauce. 2 stars because the staff were nice, otherwise just 1. chicken and chips were okay.

30/03/2026: A truly unpleasant experience. We didn't speak the language well and they rushed us to take orders without even bothering to make sure we understood. They wanted to prepare dishes at the counter according to their tastes and not according to what we chose. And because we had never been there and didn't know how it worked, a member of staff mocked us with a customer. A truly unprofessional environment with little attention to customer care.
